AMERICAblog: McCain denies saying he wasn't an expert on the economy again. He did say it and he already got busted for lying about it.

Add that to the list. We could power half the US with his flip-flops. McFlipper! Is it a burger or a dolphin? Nah, it is a naive old man trying to fool people into believing he actually knows something about the world he knows nothing about.

Did the woman from GMA actually call him out on this? Or did she blithely just nod her head and move on?

she tried...if you watch the clip of just that interview, she brought him back to his lie again. McHonorableWarHero had two chances to tell the truth and he lied twice.

if a politician lies and the media doesn't report it, has he made a sound?

is that kinda like the 'if a tree falls on a florist' question?

Now, now. Let's keep in mind that lies are a substantial part of the political system. It was Ronald Reagan who persuaded the public to accept open lies on the strength of one of the most believable of lies ever spoken by a White House resident when he said of the Iran-Contra Scandal: "I don't remember."

If McCain believes, IN HIS GUT, that he never said he was weak on the economy, despite being recorded having done so on several occasions, is it really a lie? No, it's "truthiness"! Who are we going to believe: a war hee-ro who drove a jet and was shot down, or our own lying ears and eyes?

"It wasn't me" by Shaggy should be McCain's theme song

Doesn't the MSM realize that McCain is impugning the holy ghost of the sainted Tim by doing this stuff? Or is it all OK because, as Richard Cohen said, McCain is a war hee-ro and should never be questioned about his "minor" inconsistencies?

For years I have often wondered about your handle. Couldn't figure out why you'd prefer to write it as that.
THEN....!
I heard it used and where it came from! LOLOLOL What a great handle. I feel better now :)

he is up shit creek.
i think sometimes, depending on his audience, he tries to come across as just a good, old, regular joe blow kinda mavericky guy, not some slick Wall Street know-it-all politician, which is bullshit itself.
but there is no denying he first said the economy is not his strong suit and now he's saying he didn't say that. GD YouTube!

makes you wonder what he remembers and doesn't remember.
how can he deny he said ANYTHING anymore?
the previous post about roughing up the Sandinista? maybe he doesn't remember??
I'm starting to really question the age thing before... it was a bit of a joke (a scary one, but a joke... hell, my Husbear is 22 years older than I am), but now? with all the video EVIDENCE? he can continue to deny saying and doing things?
I can't believe his campaign managers don't teach him how to spin things without denying them, ala rove.
denying things when they're EASY to prove is just plain... well... mccrazy.

Grampa McSame's feeble mindedness is really becoming more and more evident. He can't remember what he said, when he said it, if he said it and if he lied about it before he forgot if he did or not.
Bet McSame thinks that a good little war with Iran is just what he needs to clear the ever thickening cob-webs in his mind.

So, either he's lying, OR he can't remember things he's said. OR he forgets things that he said about lies that he told, and then lies about it again.
Which of these options seems to be the best one for a President McCain?

question for mccain's campaign...
if he can't remember repeatedly stating something... over the past YEAR...
how is anyone supposed to believe he'll remember campaign promises?
... or even that he's President.
come to think of it, does he remember he's john mccain?

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. His early onset Alzheimer's has caused McCain to forget what he said.

but don't use that to question his ability to perform the job of POTUS though.
they'll misquote you as attacking his military record.

McCain has no problem remembering his over 30 year old military record.

With Alzheimer's. people do remember events in the distant past...they can't remember recent events.
McCain is either getting senile or is a liar who can't keep his stories straight....hey, he's the perfect Republican candidate!

With it creeping down his inner thigh soiling his tan linen suit McCain confidently proclaims to reporters: "No I did not just shit myself, at least as far as I can remember."
I say they call in the HGTV folks to redo the Oval Office in the shape of a bedpan.

and old media is so busy fawning over McLiar's new plane and that cute name painted on it The Straight Talk Express, they'll never even broach the subject of his not so straight talk... you'd think that would make a good story. but no.
we have reporters tripping over each other to prove they're McCombover's biggest wingman
