AMERICAblog: McCain does have more foreign policy experience than Obama - too bad it's mostly bad experience

  • martha · 1 year ago
Exactly - So where is the media pointing this out?
  • tbhull · 1 year ago
Because the media understands this is just more good cop bad cop. The parties will never truly investigate the other as they are in fact the same. Just as they will never truly investigate each other and neither party will ever scale back the growth and overreaching of an out of control federal government. DC loves warrantless wiretaps.

Yes, that's right! Meh-Cain=Mr. Magoo. Perfect. Nearsighted, old, foolish, curmudgeonly. All he needs is a bowler hat...

Why can't Bill Clinton say some of this about McC?

    OT:

We will know O's VP choice by Saturday.

" SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) - Barack Obama's newly minted running mate will join the Democratic hopeful onstage Saturday at a rally in this capital city where Obama launched his White House bid, a campaign official said.

A senior Obama adviser told The Associated Press on condition of anonymity Tuesday that Obama and his veep choice will appear in front of the former state Capitol where Abraham Lincoln once served. The last time Obama appeared there, he announced he was running for president."

    And, for the naysayers...

"A combative Barack Obama said Tuesday that Republican John McCain "doesn't know what he's up against" in this election and challenged his rival to stop questioning his character and patriotism.

"Our job in this election is not just 'win,' although I'm a big believer in winning," Obama said during the rally. "I don't intend to lose this election. John McCain doesn't know what he's up against.""

mirth: I can't wait for McSame to get the publicity his record deserves. I have confidence that the truth about this man will come out over and over again lest we get damned by anotther Bush/Cheney disaster.

I wish Biden was from a prime electoral state, but one thing he will bring is an end to the foreign policy line of attack.
  • houstonray · 1 year ago
Biden was adamant tonight about not being 'the one'. I'm really stumped on this one. I like Biden, his experience will bring what the ticket needs (in the perceived eyes of the rest of the country) but I still think Obama could surprise us all....
  • Oldnovice · 1 year ago
I agree; don't count on Biden being 'the one'. Saturday's not so far off that we can't wait and see.
  • ron071 · 1 year ago
The campaign is starting now and the real McCain record must be repeatedly shown for the disaster it has been. It is unbelievable that a man with his record can even be running for high office. His record MUST be shown over and over again to give him the light he deserves.

    WANT MORE PAIN??????VOTE McSame!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG; that's my local paper. This is supposed to be a Republican State. Must be in honor of Obama Camp coming this weekend. Totally gnarls me that I'll be out of town for that, but we're hoping to be in a position to offer our home for those in the ground game who need a place to sleep and/or a few meals/day this fall.

like oldnovice, this is my hometown paper as well. frankly, the star-t used to suck until they got bought by mcclatchy. now they have *actual news* in the paper, and the op-ed page has definitely swung from hard right towards the middle (which is huge here in red-landia). keep in mind that our's is the reddest county in america (yep, even redder than counties in utah or alabama), so this op-ed is kinda huge news here.

Why is everyone so worried about Obama's foreign policy experience? Didn't Bush have even less? After all, he was only a governor for two years (yeah, yeah--but he only WORKED two years, remember) and people voted for him. Obama is a Senator with more world-class experience than Bush. Just because Meh-Cain has been a Senator longer than Obama doesn't necessarily triangulate to actual, real, and good experience. Besides, as noted elsewhere (on this blog I think) Obama has the intellectual curiosity that makes for better leadership than the dullard, old-fart, Aricept-candidate Meh-Cain. These are attributes that need to be pushed -- not the stunted jeebus test or who's more warlike.
