AMERICAblog: McCain even lies about the stupid stuff

  • TimK · 1 year ago
McCain might have been a maverick as a young politician (well, he wasn't really - he was involved in the Keating Five back then), but now, no one knows who he is any more.

    I do. He's a sleazeball.

Even people without an education can see through such lies. They are so stupid.

"I am not running for Bush's third term", Republicans do not make mistakes, ever!

I want to know why the media played Jessie Jackson's open mic moment about Obama NON-STOP for WEEKS and now we have another open mic controversy on MSNBC and it is not covered at all by the Traditional Media. It is on YouTube and has had over one million views! It is also on HuffPo and I'm not sure about the count because the video is in a different format. People are outraged over Chuck Todd, Peggy Noonan and Mike Murphy proving Republicans read their talking points as if its personal opinion then speak the truth about what they really think off air. It also shows how the traditional media is complicit in allowing it to happen.

The traditional media needs to police itself. When they get CAUGHT RED HANDED like this they need to show it because over one million people have seen it, are pissed off and talking about it:

my thinking is that everybody knows Obama is ahead and the media doesn't want to be blamed for tilting the race more in his favor by playing clips and bytes unfavorable to McCain. Unfair? Yes. I don't like it either. But I guess it does show that Obama can win on the issues.

And recall who revealed the Jackson open mic moment. . . Fox.

They won't because it makes them look bad. Chuck Todd was playing right along.

My fellow Americans. Today I would like to highlight the importance of sand. Sand is very important to our economy, because our financial institutions are built on sand. Sand is important to our security, because it protects us from the ocean that the Russians and Chinese are on the other side of.

So now I would like to ask you all to go pound sand.

"A pathological liar is someone who often embellishes his or her stories in a way that he or she believes will impress people. It may be that a pathological liar is different from a normal liar in that a pathological liar believes the lie he or she is telling to be true—at least in public—and is "playing" the role. It could also be that pathological liars know precisely what they are doing."
    Wiki

    Republicans are pathological liars.

Now that Rove is in charge of the campaign, they have to give Grandpa Simpson something to do. So he wanders around picking up on little stuff. Grandpa Simpson meets Caribou Barbie. It's a trailer park winner!

Is John McCain jealous of all the attention Sarah Palin has been getting? Can the rift in the Republican ticket be healed?

"Sarah Palin will be missing from action Sunday a.m."

    OT:

Palin's church is run by Rapture Monkeys who believe Alaska will be a "refuge state" during End Times:

What I'm more interested in this coming week is what spin McSame and Pain put on the economy/job loss/Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac takeover. Also, what the Obama campaign does to hammer this home as a McSame + Bush issue.

This is a big opportunity for Obama Biden as I see it.

Seriously, even if true? A middle school in Hollywood, CA?? I hope they paid Getty Images (or whichever service) for the use of the photo. Maybe someone should check if there's still a watermark on it.

When I first saw it I thought it was one of his houses.
  • devlzadvocate · 1 year ago
I think it goes something like the government is seizing the backbone of the housing market due to John McCain's inaction and you want to give him "another" house?

Alaskans Speak (in a frightened whisper): Palin is Racist, Sexist, Vindictive and Mean.

A must read. Terrible if true.

Sage: Hide the Earmarks Queen just as the Lobbyist gal-pal Vickie Iseman is in hiding by McSame. Hide this, hide that, just keep hiding anything of consequence. Then steal the election again. All in the Rove playbook. How much crap will the American voter accept frrom the right-wing religious nuts?

Remember the last RNC convention? I do. I remember a RNC laughinglly mocking John Kerry's honorable service. I also remember this ad:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bmEA-vXZsNk

Republicans can't have it both ways. They can't mock a Senator with Purple Hearts, just because he is a Democrat, then expect us to kiss John McCain's ass just because Democrats have the class to not Swift Boat him like Republicans did John Kerry.

    Purple Heart bandaids:

McCain's got a really sloppy crew. No wonder everyone distrusts his judgement picking Palin for VP
  • ron071 · 1 year ago
A CRUEL HOAX is a campaign which has to hide their VP candidate. How could the public not scorn this mockery? Have we not had enough of this Republican absurdity? Bush/Cheney III is on the way. See it in your local paper. Victory in Iraq is also on the way after 7 years of disaster and deficits beyond the horizon.

McCain even lies about the stupid stuff

That's because he is too old to remember what he says. All his rhetoric is POW talk that happened 100 years ago. Now that he has run that into the ground, what else does he have to say????????????????? GOD HELP US IF HE GETS IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • hardeknox · 1 year ago
90% with Bush not true. The number this Congress was 95%, but as he only voted a third of the time, it was only, by deduction and ossification 30% with Bush. Got it? Want me to do your taxes? Feelin' lucky, punk?
  • democrattotheend · 1 year ago
It's an understandable mistake (stuff like that happens) but why lie about it? If they wanted to highlight the importance of education, wouldn't they have gotten the school's permission, and perhaps mentioned it in the speech? Did McCain say anything at all about education, other than bashing teacher's unions? I don't remember...
  • tomeg · 1 year ago
This "clarification" is soooo lame, it hurts. How would anyone recognize it as a school, let alone make the connection with McCain's speech? It's insulting that they went to the trouble of justifying at all, it assumes people are fools.
  • Milli · 1 year ago
Even if they inteded to show a picture of a school, it still looked like a mansion.
A lot of parents in this country would love to have a school like that built in their neighborhoods. A lot of us have those new-deal era brick dinosaurs which are crumbling before our eyes. No, McCain is certainly not elitist.

The Problem with Using a pic of the Real(?)Walter Reed Hospital is that building has Moronic(Bush) Columns! Under the Coot/Screech regime they would be Ironic...Change you can believe in or McCain/Palin...Know Fear
  • FauxReal · 1 year ago
I made the following comment on this story yesterday at Dkos - I was closer than I thought. These are truly morally and ethically challeneged people.

But of course they haven't commented. They're trying to figure out the spin.

"We can tell them it's part of our education policy. No more falling down schools. Elect McCain/Palin and every child in American will attend a school like this."
  • moreleesafer · 1 year ago
When you lie about things that you don't need to...it's pathological....It's a disease. The Republicans deserve our support and sympathy.
