AMERICAblog: McCain gets 4 Pinocchios from Washington Post for lying about Palin

  • Dave of the Jungle · 1 year ago
Simply stated, John McCain is a lying sack of shit.
  • hawkseye · 1 year ago
    Simple is good.
I think there is a lovely Quaker Hymn: 'Tis a joy to be simple. . .
  • hawkseye · 1 year ago
    OOps, it's a Shaker Hymn.
  • grandma · 1 year ago
yeah..it is Shaker...I used to have a poster with that on it...

Tis a gift to be simple....tis a gift to be free...

    McNocchio!
  • Kansaskitty · 1 year ago
    McSame got 4 Palinocchios!
  • hawkseye · 1 year ago
    LOL!!!
  • Kansaskitty · 1 year ago
Yay Pinocchio! McSame must feel so proud.

Is anyone keeping a comprehensive list of all the lies? It's hard to keep track since it's such a fast moving target.....
  • hawkseye · 1 year ago
You will need a very thick composition book and several pencils or pens.
  • BorninUSA · 1 year ago
There he goes again.....saying we are too stupid to figure out he is lying. Why does McCain keep lying about Palin when it has been noted by the media, his own party, and everyone who questions him, that these things are just downright lies!!

Once again, he thinks we are all so stupid that we will begin to believe him. He is the stupid one. What a sorry old man he is. Rove has McCain so disciplined that he keeps repeating what he is told to say even if he knows it isn't true. Again.....what a sorry old man he is.
  • OlderButWiser · 1 year ago
He's just another one of the Rethug sheeple, after all.
  • sukabi1 · 1 year ago
he's lied himself and their campaign into a corner... at this point they are in toooo deep, they've been confronted with their lies and haven't backed down, reaffirming that the lie is what they're sticking with. At this point it's all they've got. The lies are going to come faster and bigger from now on....and they think it won't matter, because they've got Rove drawing up electoral vote maps for which ever station he's blathering on as a "political consultant", all the while their ground crews are gathering foreclosure lists - to challenge voters eligibility, sending out bogus absentee ballots, telling college students that they can't vote in their college towns or their parents won't be legally able to claim them as dependents and on and on and on.... and that doesn't take into account election day and the challenges, the disproportionate dispersal of the vote stealing machines, the challenges....

At this point I don't think they care what it looks like, they've still got the majority of the media covering for them.... they are counting on the media to keep covering for them up through election night and beyond....
  • OlderButWiser · 1 year ago
Lying their way into office is familiary territory for Rethugs. Hopefully, the bulk of the MSM has learned its lesson from the Bush years...
  • grandma · 1 year ago
A few have....or it's only a few who will admit it.
  • hawkseye · 1 year ago
I think it's funnier if they don't admit it. Voila, the emperor has no
    shorts.
  • grandma · 1 year ago
OMG....talk about 4 more years of Bush:

So when there was a vacancy at the top of the State Division of Agriculture, [Palin] appointed a high school classmate, Franci Havemeister, to the $95,000-a-year directorship. A former real estate agent, Ms. Havemeister cited her childhood love of cows as one of her qualifications for running the roughly $2 million agency.

    Heckuva job, Havemeister!

Think it was Behar who said to McCain on The View that something he had said was a lie, he argued it was not a lie. Everyone knows it was a lie. Who in hell does he think he is fooling? Unbelievable!
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
Joy Behar said two commercials were lies, and did you see McCain's face? It looked like he dumped in his paints! He probably had to change his underwear. He seriously was not expecting for someone in the media to use the word LIE to describe his lies. Behar deserves a medal - G-d bless her.
  • hawkseye · 1 year ago
I think the best thing we can do is help make Palin a joke. Then she will disappear. I don't mind if we turn McSame into a joke, too.
  • 4dogs · 1 year ago
Can a 527 out there please make an ad out of all these lies. Then as the narator speaks, we can which McIdiot's nose grow longer and longer. We can have a nice long nose on Palin too - maybe in the end we can have a birds next in their noses. Unbelievable.
  • hawkseye · 1 year ago
We'll all have to buy 60 inch screens to enjoy.
  • 4dogs · 1 year ago
All the lies will help make it a character issue about McCain. We have to take it away from it being about Obama and about McCain. If he can't tell the truth during an election, can we trust him to tell us the truth if he is elected??????????
  • IAmATVJunkie · 1 year ago
  • 4dogs · 1 year ago
OMG that's fantastic. I wish Obama would start using that long nose to make a point. Keep track of every lie and make an ad out of it. I love it. We should make pictures of McCain with that nose and give them out all over the place.
That's something that even the most dumbed down concrete thinking people can understand. Believe me I know a whole bunch of them.
  • 4dogs · 1 year ago
Oh wait I have an idea. Every time someone tells a lie or a little fib call it a McCain.

Internet joke too good to pass up, whoever thought it up kicks ass:

A woman in a hot air balloon realized she was lost. She lowered her altitude
and spotted a man in a boat below.

She shouted to him, “Excuse me, can you help me? I promised a friend I would
meet him an hour ago, but I don’t know where I am.”

The man consulted his portable GPS and replied, “You’re in a hot air
balloon, approximately 30 feet above a ground elevation of 2346 feet above
sea level. You are at 31 degrees, 14.97 minutes north latitude and 100
    degrees, 49.09 minutes west longitude.

She rolled her eyes and said, “You must be a Democrat.”

“I am,” replied the man. “How did you know?”

“Well,” answered the balloonist, “everything you told me is technically
correct, but I have no idea what to do with your information, and I’m still
lost. Frankly, you’ve not been much help to me.”

The man smiled and responded, “You must be Palin.”

“I am,” replied the woman balloonist. “How did you know?”

“Well,” said the man, “you don’t know where you are or where you’re going.
You’ve risen to where you are, due to a large quantity of hot air. You made
promises that you have no idea how to keep, and you expect me to solve your
problems. You’re in exactly the same position you were in before we met but,
    somehow, now it’s my fault.”
  • sukabi1 · 1 year ago
Saw that joke a couple of years ago, but "Palin" was Republican.... still and all there's not any difference.
  • hawkseye · 1 year ago
Great joke. I'm going to send it to all my friends.

    Campaign flashback:
Sarah Palin, in a January 2008 interview said that she’d bring “diversity” to a GOP presidential ticket, adding that “a couple of rich, old white men… [isn't] gonna cut it.”

Did you read the comments? The Republicans think it is just fine to iie. They cited a ton of excuses but refuse to admit a lie. Now there is where the problem begins. Dems feel guilty about lying while Repubs think it is okay if it means they can win,
  • grandma · 1 year ago
I read some of the comments.....no wonder our country is so screwed up

One wondered why they didn't call Obama out on saying he didn't call Palin a pig...

    Oh man....
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
Republicans think the American people can't handle the truth and rationalize lying. Its why they feel no guilt about lying us into war with Iraq. The ends justifies the means. The only time lying matters is if a Democrat does it, and then that person is Satan spawn and should go immediately to Leavenworth.
  • SarainKC · 1 year ago
cowboyneck I read your stuff all the time and always am in agreement but this time I disagree. I don't think Repugnants lie because they think we can't handle the truth, I honestly think they don't give a shit what the American people think and lie to avoid the inconvenience of having to answer to people they have no respect for.
  • lynchie · 1 year ago
The lie because they just don't give a shit what we think.
  • hawkseye · 1 year ago
I think they are speaking to the dullest, lowest IQ citizens who may swallow the whole line of crap.
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
    John McCain is a liar.

    Its simple.

    John McCain is a liar.

say it and blog it over and over again.
  • SarainKC · 1 year ago
He is an opportunistic liar. Think about it, his entire life he has taken the path of least resistance riding on the coat tails of first his father, then his rich father in law, and now the Rove team, highly connected lobbyists and a christian nut job named Sarah Palin. The man is a pig.
  • hawkseye · 1 year ago
That will help. Get it out into the Collective Consciousness.

Chuck Norris FACTS - REALLY GOOD ARTICLE about Norris LYING and his living in some strange "dream world" on Larry King live:

  • 4dogs · 1 year ago
The Repugs have no honor what-so-ever. Obama said he would be a different kind of Candidate so he can't get in the mud. But he can find better ways to call them out on each and every lie in a clever way that people will remember. Whether it's a growing nose on McCain or Palin or something else that will stick in their heads. I don't know what they're waiting for. Calling any 527's out there. Help!
  • sukabi1 · 1 year ago
Want a little peek into how Ms. Palin ran Alaska?

So when there was a vacancy at the top of the State Division of Agriculture, she appointed a high school classmate, Franci Havemeister, to the $95,000-a-year directorship. A former real estate agent, Ms. Havemeister cited her childhood love of cows as one of her qualifications for running the roughly $2 million agency.

    Ok, on the second page:

Laura Chase, the campaign manager during Ms. Palin’s first run for mayor in 1996, recalled the night the two women chatted about her ambitions.

“I said, ‘You know, Sarah, within 10 years you could be governor,’ ” Ms. Chase recalled. “She replied, ‘I want to be president.’ ”

McCain had better watch his back.... and we HAVE to STOP THIS.

that's the second paragraph of a 5 page article... I'm on the first page and I've got to say, OMG what a stupid, self-serving, conniving bitch.
  • OlderButWiser · 1 year ago
Wait a minute...what happened to that NYT's story about Palin? Had some interesting stuff in it...

    OK, there it is...disturbing.
  • OlderButWiser · 1 year ago
OK, so we know she's racist...how's the treatment of Alaskan aborignals?

I suspect it won't be pretty.
  • hawkseye · 1 year ago
You are correct. Someone remarked on Olberman or somewhere that she doesn't properly pronounce the name of one of the aboriginal groups---that her pronunciation is insulting to those groups.
  • lynchie · 1 year ago
The lying from Team McCain is another misdirection by Rove. We are all consumed with what lie they told this week, today, this minute. In the meantime no one is pressing either of these ass blankets for their policies, for substance to their claim of change or even what they want to change. The girls on the view did a better job than all the news hounds. Rove has us chasing the lies instead of chasing these two incompetent trojan horses for what they really plan for America. I despise Rove but you have to admit if everyone is concentrating on the charades he constructs we never deal with the fact that neither of them are of any substance. John McCain is a nothing, a zero, nada, zilch, zip, a big and total lack of substance. Let.'s deal with the lies agressively but continue to press for McCain's real answers to the economy, the bankruptcy of major financial institutions, collapse of the middle class, the massive shift of jobs out of the country and how to get our men and women home. These are the things that need to be featured. Obama with a host of unemployed who talk about not being able to feed their families, Obama detailing the money handed to the richest, most incompetent company leaders who share no accountability for their incompetence, Obama with teachers who detail what a disaster the No Child Left Behind program has been.
McCain is a liar, we know that. Palin is a liar we know that. Let's tie Bush to McCain with a welding torch so that no matter how much he dances and runs Bush and his 8 years of failure are forever stuck to McCain's ass.
  • 4dogs · 1 year ago
This has to be a whole new Dem group talking point, getting it off Obama on onto McCain. McCain and Palin are liars. They lie now, they've lied before and they will lie to the American people if they ever get into office. They'll say anything to help themselves. We can't trust anything they say - anything.
Then every surrogate has to start talking this up in a passionate angry way.
  • 4dogs · 1 year ago
You make some very good points here. I know Obama wants to stay with the issues. But I would love to see some 527's on McCains character.
I think you may be right about Rove. I think many of us are getting very anxious because Obama is slipping in the polls. But I would bet Obama will stick with the issues. I think that was his plan from listening to his campaign people.
  • Sage24 · 1 year ago
I know most politicians stretch the truth, here and there, but McCain and Palin have turned out to be unbelievable. She gets caught lying about that stinking bridge to nowhere, and still she keeps bragging about it. How thick skinned is that? It is now hard to keep track of the lies, it has got sooo bad. The sad thing is, folks, it seem no matter how much they keep lying, and getting caught lying, polls indicate that the majority of the American people, once again, are fine with having an inexperienced, unqualified liar, in the WH. McCain has put aside any integrity and honor he might have had, and has turned into a shameless prevaricator. Yes he has brought change alright, from a straight talker into a damn LIAR. Obama has run a good campaign, but there is so much he can do, when you have a couple of dishonest people, backed by a ruthless bunch of criminals, running a campaign of gutter politics. We also have, unfortunately, citizens in the country, who are not too bright, very ignorant, and some bloody racists. They prefer to be without a job, and continue to be in this mess we are in, by courtesy of Bush and Cheney, than vote for change.
What a sorry state we are in.
  • sukabi1 · 1 year ago
If you can't Lie folks into submission, maybe a bit of FEAR will help.
  • 4dogs · 1 year ago
I actually read a woman say that she thought Palin would be fine with Putin in Russia, because after all, Palin was involved with the PTA. I have no idea how these people think. It's unbelievable. Maybe the answer is that you have to let these people go, but so many people believe the lies and don't want to hear anything else. Obama has to get back the people on the fence.

When your "Lies are for Jesus" it's all good apparently.

Nice one. I have stumbled and twittered this for my friends. Hope others find it as interesting as I did.
