The 'Murkan people have shown over and over again, without exception, this is exactly what they deserve with the continued decline and I believe that's what they're going to get. You're all in denial.

"Certainly in the short term, or even the long term, I would not support the repeal of Roe vs. Wade." -- John McCain, 1999

That isn't the only thing we need to worry about. If it was up to the catholic church they would outlaw birth control pils and any kind of birth control. Just look what some Drug Store are trying to do now. Some will not provide birth control of any kind because of their religion. That is fine but they should be forced to let a patient know where they can get birth control from anyother drug store. While my husband and I were station overseas I had a doctor that would not let my husband get snipped (ha) because I had one child. I was in my early 30s and had a lot of medical problems. In the end he told me to go to the family practice doctor. I don't know what I would have done if he didn't do it. Couples should have those rights.

So he wants judges with a strict interpretation of the Constitution to over turn Roe v. Wads
but he doesn't want judges with a strict interpretation of the Constitution to give the prisoners at Gitmo back habeas

if they do that they are "activists" judges ... what an asshat

"I do not support the Emancipation Proclamation and believe IT SHOULD BE OVERTURNED"

Hell, the underpinning of Roe were penumbral non-textual rights and Roe still exists. We are on the verge of an elimination of the 4th Amendment, as both candidates seem to support this.

Yes we can trust anyone tomorrow to cure something their cowardice and lack of leadership allowed them to screw up today.

Yes we can continue rejoice and praise the current slate dems that betrayed the voters that put them in power in '06.

Yes we can continue to allow the government(with the able and now soon to be immune efforts of the telcos) to violate and eviscerate the 4th Amendment with due respect for the people.

Yes we can believe Obama is not another fucking fraud in a long line of the same.

Yes we can go to work everyday and pay taxes to proudly fund a government that can and does spy on us in violation of the Constituion with impunity.

Yes we can stay in Iraq until 2108.

    Yes we can.

    Love and MARRIAGE!
    Love and MARRIAGE!

I got a postcard from my LOVAH from Westport, Washington. I thought he was in SA. Kinda thought it was funny that was the only way he can reach me. I don't have a cell-phone because it causes brain cancer from the microwaves and my old email fried and I always have my regular phone unplugged.

McSame: Women should be barefoot, pregnant, and wealthy enough to support their men.

The dems in congress passed the bill to cover their own asses. Obama paid them back by supporting it. It's all corrupt. I think it's time to let it all go. Let him appoint a few more Fred Phelps on SCOTUS. Who cares. People are so stupid to know what the fuck is going on, so be it.

Maybe all snail mail should be postcard form now. Make it easier for Homeland to review it.

I agree with Senator McCain. There should be no abortions ever. So then I assume he agrees with me: That there should be universal health care for all families, that birth control should be available to everyone, that sex education in schools should teach students about pregnancy prevention, that affordable day care be available for all and that all jobs should pay a living wage so parents don't have to work two or three jobs to support their children.

I was watching the local (Los Angeles) Fox morning news on Friday and they had a commentary by Chris Wallace (Mike Wallace must be proud of this waddle-throated ass). Someone asked him about the McCain flip-flops and he casually brushed them aside and basically said it's just politics...everyone flip-flops. He then brought up Obama's choice to get out of public funding, which, frankly, I don't see as quite the comparison to Roe vs. Wade, or the Iraq War or any of the other hundreds of MAJOR issues that we are not quite sure where McCain stands on. If (and this is a big IF) McCain does become president, where will he actually stand on an issue? Some consistancy and not weak ideals are what we really need. Not "misspeak" and "maverick" iconology. He's too old (and that's not ageist) and intellectually / emotionally inferior to handle this major responsibility. We can't have an Old Monkey King--look what the Young Monkey King has done.

Well, at least under President McCain the domestic wire clothes hanger industry should get a bit of a boost.

I don't know why Obama wants the christianist eater/crappers. He doesn't need them to win.
  • TheOriginalLiz · 1 year ago
These hypocrites who claim they oppose abortion because life is sacred are generally quite in favor of the death penalty and war. There is nothing christian about their beliefs.

Why yes. . .but McSame DOES support the straight white male's right to choose. . .adultery without social, political, or legal penalty.

It's all about the Republican devotion to their personal golden peepees.

I can't get mad about this 'cause I don't know whether he really believes in what he's saying.
  • Antigone · 1 year ago
This sorry old geezer just needs to sit down and shut the hell up. Personally, I don't think that men should be allowed to have any say at all concerning whether a woman should be able to get an abortion or not. Until a man is capable of getting pregnant, particularly if it's a case of rape or incest, he has no idea what it's like to be in a woman's shoes - having to go through something like that or make that choice. I've already had to deal with some nutty Christian asshole at the pharmacy here in GA who tried to refuse to fill my prescription for birth control pills because he didn't believe in using them. I demanded to see the store manager, ripped him and the pharmacist a new one and made them give me the bloody pills. People like McCain shouldn't even be allowed anywhere near a voting booth.
