AMERICAblog: McCain, I'm pro-life, damn it

  • KarenMrsLloydRichards · 1 year ago
And, of course, those Islamofascists down there in Gitmo ain't got no human rights, either. And any Russkie that invades that plucky lil' democracy called Georgia ain't got no human rights. And those liberal Supreme Court judges, all four of 'em: no human rights. Carol McCain: she got human rights, except the right to expect marriage vows to be obeyed. Oh, any alimony payments--they ain't a right. Those suckers on Indian reservations: nope, no rights for them, either. Gooks: never, ever gonna grant them human rights, including the right not to be called gooks. Chelsea Clinton: that ugly lil' bitch ain't got any right not to be insulted. Neither does Cindy. POW/MIA wives and families: they don't got the right to be heard, when they dare to question McCain. A holiday to honor Martin Luther King, Jr.: who has the right to that kinda shit, too?!

McSame is just a mean, nasty, old man. But race is a factor and if McSame is able to push his lies about Obama, he could win. No time to take the foot off the gas pedal right now. Hit 'em hard and if we have to go low, take the legs out.

DIdn't abortions drop way down during Clinton? Why is this such an issue? Oh that's right...Jesus runs the nation now.

McCain's "cross in the dirt" story he told last night and at innumerable other times bears a striking resemblance to something from Gulag Archipelago.

    Wow--hope that one goes viral.

The fundamental ignorance of America never ceases to amaze. My god, one of it's states elected a governor who performs exorcisms. I wonder how many years it will take for these fundamental fools to realize that Jesus ain't comin'. How long can they continue to run that scam?

Well, they've been running it for going on 2000 years now.......

I think this is a very good vid about civil rights and gay marriage:

    that's a good one, mirth.
wonder when human rights start for gay and lesbian adult humans?

    i like this one too...

Oh, I like that one too, tlsintx. It took me a sec to get it, which means it makes one think. Very poignant...an adult asking others for a simple, personal, basic right.

It's like the Enlightenment never happened. I read another's comment last week, they plan to leave the country if he's elected. Just felt really deciding myself afterwards. Doesn't it seem logical that things will only get worse? Like in 2012, people will be incrementally that more dumb and dumber? And so on
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
McCain believes embryos have a Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms.
  • tlsintx · 1 year ago
Our Little Maverick answered the question just like they told him to...good boy.

see, you get lots more money when you tell everyone what they want to hear...

Yea, 'Bush cared about foreign policy'; while letting the lobbyists, Endtimers & NRA run everything else. Not unlike the McCain campaign.

BTW, has anyone noticed the conspicuous absence of Ann Coulter?
  • Blueflash · 1 year ago
Of course McCain couldn't give a damn about abortion or any other social issue. Until he was forced to run to the left of Bush in 2000 - W having already wrapped up the allegiance of the Bible yahoos - his voting record on social issues was as conservative as that of Jesse Helms. Not because he cared one way or the other, unlike Helms, but because it was the easiest thing to do being a senator from a conservative state and in the years of the conservative backlash that Reagan initiated. Should he win this election the religious right had better hope he doesn't strike a deal with the Democrats wherein he gets his way on foreign policy - the one and only thing he does care about - if he capitulates on matters domestic.

People who get their information from slimy snake oil salesmen like this - that's who candidates have to woo to get elected in the United States.
Yeah, it's a farting vid. I make no apologies.

Barney Frank nailed this one years ago. "According to Republicans, human rights begin at conception and end at birth." And if you happen to be gay, start at zero and begin subtracting.
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
Barney Frank is an odious person who let his young friend run a gay prostitution ring out of his (Barney's) basement. Sure you want to hitch your star to his?
  • tlsintx · 1 year ago
Barney Frank has more integrity than Our Little Maverick, who never met a right-wing special interest group he wouldn't pander to.

Wanna bet, within the next two days, he's touting his record on being pro-choice?
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
Sure, tls, I'd take that bet. But don't misunderstand, I think both candidates would say anything to get elected. These two are about the "POWER", not the substance.
  • Glen · 1 year ago
    Busboy,

I don't want this to be a comment flame war, but Frank didn't "let" his young man run a p-ring, he was blindsided; perhaps also self-blinded by emotion, but when he found out, the young man was also out. Post haste.

I've never owned a star hitch, so I can't answer that question, Let me ask one in return: Does any of that invalidate Frank's synopsis of Republicans' views of human rights?
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
Sure. Do you think there are no gay republicans?
Barney Frank is a piece of crap. Not because he's gay. But, because he's a piece of crap...
  • Glen · 1 year ago
Sure, I can think of some gay Republicans. Larry Craig comes to mind...

Seriously, you seem to think that "he's a piece of crap" is an argument. Care to furnish some non-ad hominem, crap-i-licious details?
  • hawkseye · 1 year ago
I recall that during the 2000 campaign John McCain discussed his opposition to abortion but that it wasn't going to be a priority issue for him.
  • moreleesafer · 1 year ago
OK I'm glad to know I wasn't the only one who noticed the weird answer to the question regarding education on the Rick Warren Show last night.

How the hell did McCain know the answers needed to be

    yes
    yes
and bad teachers need to find another line of qork.

at first I thought that was a weird coincidence but then...........

So if McNoBrains believe life begins at conception, then once they grow up, it's okay to, well, let's say, send them off to war to be killed? Should we not care about all the innocent citizens of a nation that get killed in a war? So the question is are pro-lifers really pro-life? If McNoBrains is really pro life then why is he such a warmonger? Another thing, why do people who are pro life unyielding? Lesson to Pro LIfers: This may be a shock to you, but the year is 2009 NOT 1908! A lot has changed in the country in those few, short years, i.e, the sexual revolution, for instance. It's okay to, oh my God, live together now with the opposite, even! And guess what, they have S-E-X! Oh my God! Some people end up pregnant as a result of sexual assault or simply may not be ready to have a baby, period! Who's business is it, really? Are the pro lifers going around adopting these babies or trying to at least make it easier to adopt these children? No they are not. Are they at least trying to support and build decent orphanages for the children that don't get adopted? No they are not. Pro life shouldn't even be a conversation. We have bigger fish to fry now.
