  • Nigel Elliott · 1 year ago
O/T for anyone needing a laugh.....

Warmongering GOP Delegate's late-night tryst cost him $120,000

Repub guys must be easy picking for that sort of thing.

I remember an item in Wonkette years ago, when they subscribed to some conservative e-mail newsletter, and started getting all these other solicitations from companies teaching the "secrets of meeting women" and the like.

    What a bunch of losers.

    Speaking of health care.

Schumer and Reid demand McCain release his medical records.

(OK! Now we're having fun again!)

Good for Schumer and Reid !!

CNN just said Palin has not released her tax returns.....and will do so at the campaign's own timing.
  • BarbaraGordon · 1 year ago
McCain's health care plan, replete with taxation of benefits, calls out for a union-sponsored ad. After all, unions fought hard to win decent benefits for their workers, which would be taxed and likely lost if McCain gets his way.

It just keeps unraveling. IF Obama doesn't win this election it is because of the color of his skin and Americans will really regret the next four years.

Now THIS is an issue with teeth! I say Obama and company need to attack on this along with the economy. Leave the blackberry stuff alone, it's just a distraction. This topic has real meat and it will resonate hard with a lot of people.

I'm surprised that he didn't assert that McCain's health care plan would cover 100% of all Americans...

After all no one is truly without health insurance in America since we can all go to the emergency room.

Everyone knows the real Americans are those that make 5 million a year, the rest peasants and serfs.
  • Sage24 · 1 year ago
If they can lie so brazenly, and almost on a daily basis, at this stage of the game, imagine how dishonest they will be in the WH!

America cannot believe a word that comes out of these two candidates, McCain and Palin. Not only have they got caught lying, but they are thick skinned enough to continue that lie. They are insulting the intelligence of the American people.

Knock me over with a feather, I declare, that nice old POW fella told a lie. I am truly struck with wonder and disbelief.
  • katjam · 1 year ago
No this is NOT a lie. McCain's advisors believe that we should just take away the term "uninsured" because anyone who goes to an emergency will be treated so, in effect, they are insured!!!! THe McCain plan WILL move 20-30 million to the insured column---the easy way!!

How is this Yahoo anywhere close to Obama in the polls? I just don't get it.
  • grandma · 1 year ago
Me either...unless they're believing his lies

look around at your fellow countryman. Not to be blunt, but there are a lot of people that either choose to be, or just are, ignorant.

The other thing, I think, is that the GOP is still way better at spin, diversion, and selling symbols than the Democrats. Democrats just get too wrapped up in being right, the GOP just wants to win.
  • shanobama · 1 year ago
To say nothing of the media consolidation that has made this all possible. We used to have 50 media companies, now we have 6. All right wing or corporatist.

The polls are wrong, just like during the primaries.

Women-Men, White-Black, Young-Old, Rich-Poor - who could possibly vote for McCain? Our country is really in trouble if it still about "who you want to have a beer with".
  • Sage24 · 1 year ago
It truly makes you wonder, doesn't it? We have a nationally known liar, peddling the same lousy policies, the country is in a big mess, and STILL their are intellectually challenged people out there, who want to be stuck in this same rut. It does not look good for this country.
  • Sage24 · 1 year ago
    In case you missed this.

    Democrats go for McCain's jugular.

I think Republicans want to believe so badly they are still relevant they are willing to overlook McCain's lies, ineptitude and over all dumbassness.
Remember when Bush could eat babies on the steps of the White House and the Republicans would still support him? Well, they are willing to support McDumbass to get Palin.
  • brilliantatbreakfast · 1 year ago
Even if your employer keeps your health insurance, you still get screwed massively on taxes. I broke it all down here.
  • butchcjg · 1 year ago
Maybe that's why Mitt Romney just told Chris Matthews that given the economy, Barack Obama needs to back off his pledges to spend money on public service programs and health care.

Yes, Mittens thinks that health care is a backburner issue. He doesn't see how for most Americans, the cost of health care IS a FUNDAMENTAL part of our economic crisis! John McCain puts health care on the backburner!

cheney may no longer be the biggest liar in all the land.
