    "Afghanistan? Is that near Czechoslovakia?"

    John, john, john.....
Your forgetting that republicans don't ACTUALLY want to get anything done that would benefit the people.
The game plan won't be coming from gramps anyway.
It will come from the corporate elite, who don't give a shit about anything but their bottom line.
If that means another war, so be it.
God forbid one of their puppets goes off message and starts having idea's of their own, that would make them.....GASP, a democrat

Today's daily quote by Ms Thang Rodeo Queen Pill Poppin Mama Cindy McSame:
"Oh Johnny didn't have no time fer pesky hearin's and suchlike. He's way too busy tryin' to memorize the notes I made about what he said yesterday."

B-b-but That's because Afghanistan isn't important, McCain believed: he was busy SURGIN' in Eye-rack! Gotta keep the McCain eagle eye on the Eye-rack ball, ya little jerks! Where Bush messed it all up with Rumsfeld, until McCain invented the Surge (just like Gore invented the Internet!) and then they greeted us as Liberators and we succeeded, AND where we are succeeding! And where we will succeed...for 50 years, maybe 100 years. Like Germany and Japan! Or, um, maybe 16 months--if conditions on the ground permit, or even 12 months--or less! If Dave Petraeus says so!

Er, there were cheering Colombians and Canadians for McShrub? I just took it he was outta the country instead of comforting the wounded troops. Obama can't help it people cheer him all over the world after bush.
  • mirth · 1 year ago
We either say NO or we disallow NO to be said.

The coming election will define us as a people and a nation.

    November will tell.
  • Bostonian_Queer_in_Dallas · 1 year ago
And I fear...I hope to hell I am wrong...we will be defined as racist idiots who prefer watching "American Idol" crap television to paying attention to what is going on with our corrupt government. Yes November is truly a defining moment. And I am scared shitless.
  • mirth · 1 year ago
    Me too, scared.
There is a very good chance that McC will be elected outright or the vote will be close enough to be stolen by the neos.
And if that happens, if this golden moment is lost, then we are lost.
  • Õ¿Õ · 1 year ago
Yeah, we all feel it. Will people rise to their better nature? That remains to be seen for people here. It is scary as hell...
  • Õ¿Õ · 1 year ago
I get that too. Earlier, I had a picture in my minds eye of someone voting in the voting booth for McShrub with sorta a mean narrow look but expecting Obama to win. Like, many people are going to vote for McShurb outta spite because they're mad Obama's better than they are or have ever been. You don't vote that way. Many are voting for McShrub but knowing Obama would be better. It's like, there, have at it but one last little fuck you. That's the mentality of too many in this country that McShrub might get in there.

I once said that adult people in this country are babies. I think adult brats would better describe them.
  • Bostonian_Queer_in_Dallas · 1 year ago
Yes I've been thinking that there will be this middle class, indy, voter who
will say to himself...."who the fuck does this uppity ni**er think he is?"
They think that here is an Ivy educated man...shit I don't got an Ivy
sheepskin...who is better looking, nicer, obviously wealthier...how dare
they try for something like this. This is the way white trash think.

We have to remain upbeat and keeping hammering until November. It's the only way. I do have a good feeling, though. And Fall is almost here with cooler temperatures. Just over a month away. This is my favorite time of year. Right now anticipating those first cooling breezes in mid-September and then we get to vote.
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
You sound like an "autumn" soul. Autumn, that time of year when the leaves turn a thousand hues of brown, red, and yellow. Fall is my favorite time of year as well.

    Let's keep the pressure on.

Visits with world leaders and speeches to cheering Colombians and Canadians

Funny...I don't recall any cheering Canadians. And , oh, the PM, Steven Harper, I'd hardly call him a world leader

this is all part of the surge

Obama is constantly damned if he does, damned if he doesn't or can't by the GOP smear machine. This is designed by Rove to try to knock Obama off balance, hoping he makes any real mistake. They cynically depend on the short attention span of idiots in this country to fall for it, too. Don't forget Mr. Honorable War Hero McShrub approves of this strategy.
  • Õ¿Õ · 1 year ago
Why can't we discuss the real issues? Why you ask? Because the GOP would lose so we're always on the flag lapel pins and troop visits and such.
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
True, we can't discuss the issues, and it's the fault of the media. The media won't press the issues. They got no balls!
  • Õ¿Õ · 1 year ago
McShrub is a sorry sack of shit.
  • dad · 1 year ago
    +9
  • mirth · 1 year ago
    Nine points?
The numbers are encouraging, and at the same time they are shameful.
  • Õ¿Õ · 1 year ago
McShrub is a slug and a tottering old schlub. Busboy's gonna vote for him, though.
  • Õ¿Õ · 1 year ago
Sheesh, I got this iced tea too strong. I'm bouncing off the walls here.
  • LunaStick · 1 year ago
HEY!!!! McCain doesn't need to attend no stinkin' meetings! He knows all he needs to know about Afghanistan......like that it borders Iraq :P
  • Ben Dover · 1 year ago
Why does that miserable old bastard McSame hate our soldiers? After everything America has provided him, including a $100 million dollar pill-poppin' Sugar Momma, you'd think he'd be at least appreciative enough to attend war-time hearings.
Miserable old bastard deserves nothing but America's contempt.
  • Õ¿Õ · 1 year ago
If he actually gave a shit about this country that gave him so much, he would drop out.
  • Ben Dover · 1 year ago
    Ain't that the truth.
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
He won't get America's contempt. No ones got the balls to call him on the carpet.
  • John Aravosis · 1 year ago
You guys may not have noticed that the last paragraph is verbatim what McCain and his campaign said about Obama (with a few words changed to make it relevant to McCain). Thus the "cheering" crowds. Otherwise, I think it's interesting to see McCain's exact words used against himself. Had Obama or a surrogate said this about McCain, they'd flip.
  • MElouise · 1 year ago
    Be fair John!

"Matlock" was on TV- at the same time every single one of those meetings. What are the odds, huh?
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
Great information, but I'm wondering why the press doesn't call McCain on the carpet! I don't think the press is up on the issues. No ones got the balls to challenge the old man. What will it take for someone to grow a pair?
  • jr · 1 year ago
"John McCain knows everything about foreign policy. He doesn't need to go to meetings"-cable news
  • nikto · 1 year ago
