perhaps he was vetting his new v.p.

Wait a minute! I'll grant this isn't family forum, but there are still limits of decency and propriety you should observe.

I was thinking the exact same thing as dad.

Do we have a count down going yet marking the day she resigns to prepare for Bristol's wedding?
  • scottinsf · 1 year ago
No doubt. We should all start a pool.

He had to suspend his campaign to not-make some phone calls from his apartment.
Methinks a McThuselah administration would make the lazy Chimp look like a workaholic. Sounds like he'd rather outsource everything to his lobbyist pals while he enjoys the ego perks of the office.

what's the rush. msnbc says the senate not taking up the matter until wednesday - due to scheduling conflicts.

are we done being stupid yet?
  • Verchiel · 1 year ago
Until there's substantive consequences, support-wise, for his shameless lying, there's no reason for him to stop. As long as the blogs are really the only ones calling a spade a spade and the traditional media outlets either ignore things or stick with the usual list of euphemisms, this'll keep up all the way to November.

I wonder what number of American citizens, after losing their jobs, losing their homes, worrying each and every single day about a health care emergency would enjoy a lavish dinner out with friends after such a stressful day of saving the world?
McCain's arrogance, elitism and extreme sense of entitlement is disgusting.
The pasty-faced aging kept-man persona is getting to be almost as old as McCain himself.

I hate to admit it (and I'm not sure what's a normal price in DC) but everything on that menu seems reasonably priced with the exception of the beef dishes and Bento boxes.

Or maybe I'm already jaded from eating out here in SF now and then.
  • Rob Mule · 1 year ago
No, they didn't seem that pricey for a high end restaurant.
  • Ben Dover · 1 year ago
Interesting menu. I wonder about the prices and just how expensive a meal for four would run.
Obviously I wouldn't be able to afford such an indulgence, because if you have to ask the price you can't afford it.

McCain had a private casino built into his apartment through his gambling lobbyist connections. He spent the evening playing High Roller craps. Its a way for him to decompress. If he can't use the U.S. Treasury or nuclear weapons to gamble with our very lives then he has to go to his private casino and pray to his "higher power" which would be high stakes gambling.

He was eating VERY expensive Pan-Asian cuisine. Instead of Lieberman, he should have treated Sarah and Todd to boost their Asian foreign policy credentials. "I theenk we should, ya know, dill with our Pan-Asian allies with free trade to keep the economy workin' fer the American citizens."

good luck to McCain and Lieberman on trying to dislodge Sarah the Wolfkiller from her dandy spot on the ticket...she's not gonna budge.

Liar liar, pants on fire. I also enjoyed a swanky dinner last night(we were celebrating my birthday) and now I have the mother of all hangovers. Can anyone hook a sister up with an effective remedy? I'm dying here!

“I mean, he (John McCain) said he was going to interrupt his campaign to come down and save the negotiations. Most people believe what he did was interrupt the negotiations to come down here and save his campaign.” John Kerry

I think Lindsey Graham has a crush on the fly boy.
  • shell · 1 year ago
At Fly Boy's age, I think he will take what he can get. Young thangs don't "date" old geezers unless they have $$$$$. And all McCain's $$$$ belongs to Cindy.

I say LIEberman was the Beard. This was a date for McCain and Lindsey. (Just slip Cindy a few drinks and she's gone.)

McCain had no intention of being a POWork ever again!
  • MC_Haiku · 1 year ago
mccain can't trade sarah for joe. the base hates lieberman. they LOVE sarah. anyone seen www.teamsarah.org? mccain would have a full-blown rebellion on his hands. it would be fun to watch, though, wouldn't it?

now that i think about it, everybody hates joe lieberman.

He also skipped out on a town hall and didn't tell anyone about it.

Quick, someone send this to David Letterman. He alone is a good Campaign Ad for Obama lol

I usually don't waste the Comments area with purely laughter, so I can do it once in a while.

"In the true drama queen language you'd expect from Lindsey, he said, "Thank God John came back."

    hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Wait a damn minute! Did he not specifically say, just this morning to George Stephanopolis "I"m not gonna phone it in?" Those were his words. When he said he needed to come back to "save the day" he specifically said "George, I'm not gonna phone it in." Man, if I didn't know better I'd swear it was nothing but a stunt.

God, that man makes me wanna throw up things I ate as a child!
