Its disgusting how that man can blatantly lie, over and over again about his past and the media sits idly by or worse, calls him a "maverick" when he lies about his past support for the war.

At first I thought Grampa McSame's "gaffes" were because of his advanced feebleness, I no longer believe that. Grampa McSame has proved himself to be nothing more than yet another lying, filthy neo-con republican who is not to be trusted in any manner. His administration, indeed, would be nothing more than a continuation of the destruction and overthrow of the United States Constitution and Bill of Rights that has been perpetuated by the criminal and anti-American BushCo administration and their minions.

I think due to his senility he doesn't remember what he has said in the past otherwise he wouldn't look so surprised when confronted in his town hall meetings. He is now reading from talking points now written by Mr. Rove. They don't have to be based on truth or facts...just believable to the sheepies. And they don't have to paralell what he has said in the past. Voters don't care. Americans don't watch documentaries. They like Batman and Harry Potter.

Will never happen when 50% are sheep, never questioning propaganda and have the intelligence of bag of nails. However, if we had a "Free Press" not controlled by fascist corporations, your statement would make sense, i.e., would have a basis in reality - but the reality is Americans are, for the most part, mindless sheep, having not a clue that McShank is a lying SOB, a pathetic excuse for a human being.

McShank is a true boot-licker right-wing politician. Intelligent? Hardly. You have to be a real dumb-ass to graduate in the lower 0.4% of a class of 900. I wd like to see one intelligent thing written that was said by McShank. Any dittoheads trolling through here? Give me one quote that John McShank has said (link please) that would indicate that this man has any intelligence at all.
McShank is a pathetic lying rat bastard republican - he is the only hope for the fascists running this country.

I've been doing some thinking about the Snickers ad where Mr. T uses a Snickers machine gun to shoot a guy, "acting like a fag," in the ass to get him to "straighten up" and "act like a man!" Would Snickers run an ad where Mr. T was "jive walking" down the street and then have a neo nazi drive up and shoot him with a Snickers machine gun and scream, "Walk like a white man, and get all that N-word bling off your neck, you N-word!" I didn't think so. Why not? The media seems to not understand why gay people take offense to the ad. All they ever have to do is place an african american in the ad, as the victim, and they would be MORE than offended. Message to media: "Gay people aren't acceptable targets any more than African Americans!" The media loves to yuck it up and act all obtuse when "the gays" are a target. They, and their conservative viewers, understand PERFECTLY what is going on. They just don't WANT to show they understand. Its easier for the corporate media to just laugh along with the gay bashing messages Snickers is sending than it is to act responsibly and call Snickers out for their continued harassment of gay people.

so lets see, now McCain is claiming everything that happened right (the escalation) he thought of first, and everything bad (gas prices) that has happened is Obama's fault..

Trust me, the media's freaking (along with a hunk of rethugs) cuz old McFlub's melting faster than a wet witch and its still July...polls, schmolls. 'Deus ex Machina where are you?', Intoned by a masked beltway chorus wearing tattered McStain tee shirts would be interesting.

Recoup what? McCain's numbers are purely driven by the corpmedia..a feedback loop, an Oroboros. Between the third parties, the distraught and the mere handfulls of indifferent onlookers McStain's drawing, I doubt even a jinned-up frenzy like 2004's could elect the asshole from Arizona.

I'm getting concerned. With McShame's continued gaffes and Obama looking like the rock star in Europe why are the polls still so close? Obama should now be ahead by TWENTY FRIGGIN' POINTS!!! Are half of my fellow Americans truly that racist and stupid? I hope my fears that led me to back Edwards in the primaries aren't true. I hope Democrats haven't again put someone in the race who is ten years ahead of the average American voter. I hope I've underestimated the American voter this year, and my fears were unjustified. Don't get me wrong. I LOVED Obama from the very beginning. I just didn't think Joe-six pack would vote for him. Please, America, pleasantly surprise me this time!

I've been thinking exactly this for a while myself. He is ahead of his time...way too sharp for the Joe sixpacks. And the race thing will play out. A lotta people will SAY they pulled Obama and secretly quietly silently say n***er in the booth and pull for Gramps. Jesus are we fucked if that happens. BTW I still think yer cute, cowboyneok. Okay okay John A no cruising on yer blog! Love you mean it John A!

Thanks for the compliments, Boston in Dallas. I don't consider it cruising, myself, when you mention someone is good looking. It'd be different if we were trying to find a room in Dallas to "meet up." LOL!
I'm so scared about the silent racism thing. You are so right... our nation is so thoroughly screwed if the six packs and racist oldsters have their way.

It's concerning me too, even here in Colorado the polls show Obama only a couple of points above Grampa McSame, I believe that Obama was six points up just a week or so ago. I hope that when Obama returns that he and his campaign will begin hitting Grampa and his continuous failures with everything possible. It is my sincere hope that Invesco Stadium is packed to the rafters and a million more people are standing shoulder to shoulder in the parking lot in support when Obama accepts the nomination.

We'll, if the American people are that stupid, (and I've seen them so stupid they're actually crazy now) then they definitely deserve more of the same and it will require more pain therepy for them, I suppose. There is nothing we can do about it. You can't make people save themselves. But as all these years, we have to suffer along because of their stupidity.

I'm also beginning to prepare for an economic collapse in case that happens. Getting in better shape and beginning to box some stuff up. My lease is up in March and I think that's about the time things are going to begin to get bad. Have plans with some others to join together in a rural area.

O/T Looks like the Obama love affair with the press may be over. He's not even in the white house yet and already sanctioning bloggers and reporters. This could be the most repressive regime in history (other than McCain's)...
I posted this after most folks had gone to bed ..so I'll be repetitious
McCain's got to get off Cindy's meds. He can hardly keep it together. He just seems to be making this stuff up as it goes along. He's got a memory like a bong dumbed bohemian. It,s really past time we elected, to the most powerful post in the world, the mentally deficient.

I agree with those that are worried why Obama isn't totally ahead fo McCain. I really believe it is racism, silent, but nonetheless racism. With Bush's ratings in the toilet and most Republicans running for cover, Obama should be way ahead of McCain. I can't believe anyone with any amount of sanity could/would vote Republican after seeing the destruction wrought during the past 8 years.

It would be impossible for me to vote Republican ever no matter what piece of crap candidate we ran. (I did vote for Mayor Bloomberg twice, though in city politics, party doesn't really matter.)
So, there are people that will vote REP just because that is who they are. It is the third group who aren't wedded to one or the other that we have to reach.

aquarius: Let's hope you are dead wrong. Perhaps the polling numbers are suspect. Think of who owns and runs the polling companies. How easy to manipulate poll results in so very many ways-accidentally or purposefully. Remember what has happened to the MSM with guys like Murdock and Scaiffe. Why not the polling companies? If national elections can be stolen why not false/manipulated polling results?

He was just more "optimistic" back then. Can't blame a guy for being positive about bringing death and destruction to innocent people, can ya? It only took him five years to realize that its wrong to wage unjust wars and to torture people. Its not like he had personal experiences to compare them to or anything.

McShame just proposed Obama's new ad, run all the quotes of his support for the war against the one he made today to show people that he is revising everything he ever said to be more like Obama.

aquirius2: Totally agree. This election will put to test (and hopefully to rest, CNN) the question, "How Racist is America?" There's no way a person of Obama's caliber should be in a dead-heat with the likes of McCain. It will be interesting to see in Nov. how many racists know how to vote.
ron071

If the close poll numbers are an indication of racism or if the polling companies have been bought and paid for we in the USA are in very serious trouble. In either event we will have lost our democracy. It's too sad to even consider and hopefully neither is true.

McCain's run for the presidency has become a farce. How many absurdly false statements or mistatements are needed to realize this man is totally out of the real world and, if ever elected, would be an absolute menace to our country and the world. If the Republicans had an ounce of decency they would insist that McCain gets out of the race immediately. As for the close poll results to date I must raise the caution flag. Who owns the polling companies? Why is their methodology not made public. SUSPICIOUS!!!
