Any means necessary to win. Fear is the only tool that the GOP have at this point. The GOP messed up the ecomony and everything else. Fear, Fear, Fear, it won the last presidential race, why not this one?
But, the ecomony is what American people are most concerned about because its' our life line that is being threaten.
The GOP has done nothing to get Osama.

George W. Bush palled around with terrorists. Salem bin Laden invested in George Dubya Bush's failed oil company in the 1970's. No wonder we haven't caught Osama bin Laden. Republicans are heavily invested in terrorist organizations, or at least they are if you apply the same standards they use to claim Barack Obama somehow is connected to terrorism.
Six degrees of separation? Oh, we should be playing it over and over with Republicans. All of them are connected to someone embarassing. Lets stop playing nice and bloody McCain's damned nose!

I get your point. But lets be fair, Salem bin Laden is not a terrorist. By saying so, you are commiting the same sin you are condemning.
I'm sure GWB has many other "Pals" we could mention. Hell, we could easily claim GWB himself is a terrorist, judging by how many people were killed/maimed/displaced, directly or indirectly, by GWB decisions.

True. Salem is dead, as well. He wasn't a terrorist.
It is very tempting to play that whole Republican game right back at 'em though!

WHERE IS OSAMA BIN LADEN AND WHY DON'T REPUBLICANS WANT TO CATCH HIM?

Because only McCain knows where and how AND he isn't sharing until he is president!

I'm glad this comes following Bob Hebert's concerns below. What kind of voting body allows this stuff. McCain deserves a kick in the ass, along with his handlers. How can quality voters be willing to endure this crap. Voting needs candidates. Intelligent voting needs both voters and candidates who know the score. Without both you get a mess. Right now, 'Handlers' create messes as tactic. What is grossly wrong with the picture being painted of election tactics and voter apathy, indifference or confusion. For this Americans have died. Excuse me while I go and puke.

Half the population has, approximately, above average intelligence and half has, approximately, below average intelligence. Very sad, but true.

McCain is just not based in reality as evidenced by this quote when addressing campaign workers.
"We're a couple points down, OK, nationally, but we're right in this game," McCain said to cheers. "The economy has hurt us a little bit in the last week or two, but in the last few days we've seen it come back up because they want experience, they want knowledge and they want vision. We'll give that to America."
My god, he thinks the economy has hurt him a "little bit ", McCain isn't going to talk about the crisis facing this country, he is going to continue to try and win this election on his POW status, his 26 years in Congress, and his smearing his opponent.

He is counting on the oil companies keeping the price of oil so low that people really won't go hungry until AFTER the election. Once the election is over then oil will increase to $200.00 / barrel to make up for the steep discounts the oil companies are desperately giving the low information voter to try to sway them things aren't as bad as they really are.

John, Is that a valid argument? Ayers=terrorist=acquaintance of Obama Osama=bombed the Pentagon
How is that relevant?
cowboyneok
They are trying to say both Ayers and Osama bombed the Pentagon therefore they are trying to say Obama wants the Pentagon bombed. The logic is so tortured, only an idiot would ascribe to it. In fact, there is no LOGIC behind the argument.

It's just wool-gathering.

I read somewhere that the reason McCain doesn't want to return to Rev. Wright non-issues is that Wright was a Marine and a medical corpsman. That's the only kind of "honor" McCain has and it's probably about all he's ever had. Male-bonding isn't honor. It's probably genetic and cultural, but it isn't honor. I doubt McCain understands the meaning of the word.

Does this man not get that he will be a pariah when he goes back to the Senate after his scorched earth campaign? Who will want to even acknowledge the bastard? I think he has 2 more years left in his senate term. Blechhh. I don't think many Repubs even want him in their vicinity......well except Huckleberry Graham and Lieberman(a Repub in all but name).

He doesn't care.

I predict, if he loses, he will resign from the Senate. He won't be able to face the Senate where he is a hated man.

Well, of course he'll deny it. time magazine is different from Time Magazine and the pentagon is different from The Pentagon.
McCain has long lost his honor. He's shrinking faster than his nads.

I was listening to the "Peter B. Collins" radio show today. He was interviewing Brad from bragblog.com about election (and voter) fraud. Brad mentioned that someone within the Obama campaign (someone in the upper reaches of the organization) told him that no one in the upper strata of the campaign knows anything about how this election may be stolen. They just aren't up to speed on it.
Of course, Brad wants to talk with Obama himself. He also mentioned a website that I didn't catch.... it was where we (that would be us) can sign a petition to request that the Obama (and the McCain) campaign NOT concede until some conditions were met... not sure what those were....
Anyway, I am worried that there might be no plan for what to do on election day if it is stolen. I know we all KNOW there will be lots of shenanigans being reported, and long lines, and very unhappy people. But in the larger sense, what is the plan? What is Obama going to do? What are we supposed to do if McCain declares victory... or if he declares victory in even one state that exit polls say Obama won.
Any thoughts? Anyone know that website? Should we pressure the Obama campaign on this point? Do WE deserve to know what his plan for dealing with this stuff is? What is our role?

It sounds to me like something the Obama campaign would understandably not want to discuss. However, I can't imagine that he won't have legal teams ready to go if needed.

Jeffrey Feldman over at HuffPo is reporting on Karen Tumulty's article about the McCain publically repudiating the same tactics they are teaching volunteers in private. She describes how the McCain camp is fomenting violence threats against Obama. Its all here:
Its very damning of the McCain camp. He would rather see Obama killed than lose this election.
"In particular, by teaching his volunteers to see Barack Obama as similar to Osama Bin Laden--and by training his volunteers to convince voters of the same--McCain is using his presidential campaign to tie Sen. Obama to the mass murders of September 11, 2001. In this way, McCain is effectively teaching his supporters to believe that Sen. Obama is not only connected to terrorists, but that Sen. Obama deserves the same punishment as terrorists.
In other words, by bringing to light the rhetoric being taught to his campaign volunteers, Time Magazine has provided the explanation for why attendees at McCain and Palin rallies have called for the death of Sen. Obama rather than just his defeat, which would be the norm in such events. When supporters of a Presidential candidate view the opposing candidate as merely an election threat, they call for his defeat. But when they view the opposing candidate as a national security threat--as they are being taught by the McCain campaign--they call for that threat to be eradicated. "
Very disturbing. Looks like the Secret Service needs to have another talk with McCain and Palin!

Thanks for your report. It's very disturbing. McCain is the biggest coward ever to run for president. He's also a bully and a horse's ass---with apologies to horses.

Isn't it incredible how the billion dollars oil companies are dropping their prices to bargain basement prices because of the economic crisis? Wow, if they had wanted to be "patriotic" they could have dropped the prices a LONG TIME AGO and maybe we wouldn't be in this mess in the first place!
Oil company execs are wetting the bed with the realization the Republican party may pay for all their excesses. The oil company execs are counting on being able to convince stupid people that oil prices are going to remain low. Hahahahaaa! The day after the election oil will spike to $200.00 barrel to make up for the bargains they are attempting to use to entice people to vote for the Republican BIG OIL Cartel Party.

Dear Friend:
Are you ready yet for the November 4th Elections? How about your friends, family, and neighbors? More Americans are expected to vote this year than ever before in history, so don’t be left out! Be sure to ask everyone you know the following questions: • Are you registered to vote? If you moved recently, have you updated your voter registration? • Did you apply for an Absentee Ballot? Do you know your state may not require any reason? • Can you find your local Polling Place? Do you know it may have changed from last time? The answers to these questions -- and all your voting needs -- can be found at www.StateDemocracy.org
