AMERICAblog: McCain says "League of Nations" needs to deal with Iran

  • ShirleyGoodnessanMercy · 1 year ago
Shucks, he said "We need a league of nations to..." so he isn't really so deluded as to think the League of Nations is still around. But his assinine comment about Sarkozy made me throw up a little.

WWHMSD? (What would Hillary Mellon Scaife do?)

John McCain's age is getting to him. He keeps getting names and places mixed up. It happens to everyone when they get that old.
  • JBL55 · 1 year ago
DCinDC, McSame's incompetence is not due to his age. He's always been like that.

My mother-in-law (God rest her soul) never forgot a single name in her ninety years, and my grandfather, who passed away at the age of ninety-five after coming through two pacemaker operations and two strokes, would have run circles around McBush anytime.

Come to think of it, either my mother-in-law or my grandfather in her/his current state would make a better president than McNasty.

Surprised he didn't call Iran Persia.

Reminds me of Mr. Burns at the Post Office:

"Yes, I'd like to send this letter to the Prussian consulate in Siam by aeromail. Am I too late for the 4:30 autogyro?"
  • sherifffruitfly · 1 year ago
I figured that was a republican dogwhistle along the lines of We-Hate-The-UN-They're-As-Ineffective-As-The-LoN.
  • bluestockton · 1 year ago
That would be "I'd like to POST this letter."
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
    Hey!

    Thanks for the shout out!
  • tlsintx · 1 year ago
'if you live long enough, anything can happen..."

heh, heh. nice try McCain. you're old and tired and worn out.
    everybody knows it.
  • donotmakemecomedownthere · 1 year ago
Sorry, but McCain is more of a Homer:

Homer: "Hello, my name is Mister Burns, I believe you have a letter for me."

P.O. Worker: "Ok Mr. Burns, what's your first name?"

    Homer: "I don't know."

Well, he's just lost my vote. If you're gonna solve problems using a non-existent organisation, you can find a much cooler one than the League Of Nations. How about the Justice League? The Green Lantern Corps? The X-Men? Christ, even the Doom Patrol!

Actually, if McCain wins, we might see a Doom Patrol of one sort or another...

The League of Nations wasn't that the organization in a Sean Connery Movie--No that was League of Gentlemen. This idiot may not make it to the election. If we could get Hillary to sit down Obama could roast his nuts on a daily basis. There is nothing intelligent or coherent that comes out of his mouth. Course Cindy wants to be Mrs. President so even if he isn't fixed in this century it all ok.
Goodnight John Boy, Good night Mary Ellen.

Reminds me of all the Bush gaffes that the media ignored. I guess they don't learn....
  • DanK · 1 year ago
Come on people, he spoke about "...a league of nations...", not THE League of Nations. There's lots to criticize McCain about, but this isn't it.
  • mike31c · 1 year ago
Wow, and now who's out of touch with reality now? LOL

Old and senile and you can't make up this kind of crap! Sucks to be YOU old and senile mccain. You are a disgrace and you really need to get educated on the realities of the 21st Century. It's pathetic this is the rnc nomination for President of the US.
  • Mikki --SE Pennsylvania · 1 year ago
Its selectively being out of touch with reality. Insane McCain has been sucking on the public teat all of his adult life and somehow has gotten the idea that he is knowledgeable on anything; certainly it is NOT military matters; don't forget by the time Insane drove his plane into the ground in North Viet Nam and began his collabortation with the folks we were fighting, he has already crashed four (4) other navy planes as well as causing a fire and explosion on the Forrestal that killed 130some of his fellow sailors.
So again I ask why is the MSM NOT rehashing all of this information and bringing it into the light of day for the gullible and unsuspecting American voter?? Well past time for them to put down the free beer and BBQ and start digging for the TRUTH!
  • JBL55 · 1 year ago
Mikki, I'm no fan of McSame, but he did not cause the fire on the Forrestal. If anyone is to blame, it is the moron in the Navy's decision-making process who chose to load WWII-vintage bombs of dubious quality on that carrier. McBush is guilty of many heinous acts, but on this count you should acquit him and focus on the things he actually did.
  • Gary68 · 1 year ago
Definitely no fan of McCain, but this is reaching. Sorry.
  • BuddyNovinski · 1 year ago
Thomas Woodrow Wilson also said "a league of nations". McCain should discuss it with David Lloyd George, Georges Clemenceau, and Vittorio Orlando.!
