AMERICAblog: McCain says we're back to 'pre-surge levels' in Iraq. No we're not. 2/3 of the surge troops are still there.

  • michaelt · 1 year ago
not to worry, the media, who's doing a really good job by the way, will bring these mistakes to light.

Just like Bush, if McSame wasn't lying he wouldn't have anything to say.

Face it people...he's in the beginning stages...
He's pretty much up there/on par with the year 7term of Ronald Reagan's dementia.

the poor guy just wants to get elected. plus he can grill the hell out of a steak.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
But he does know exactly how much he paid for the rugs there.

McCain is consistently devoid of command over basic factual information.
  • aquarius2 · 1 year ago
It seems impossible that in this day and age of politics that McCain would not have "advisors". Almost every time he opens his mouth on Iraq he is wrong, so either he is an idiot on Iraq or he has idiot advisors, either way it is down right scary.

But he does...you remember Carly Fiorina, of HP fame, don't you? And then there's Phil Gramm...

    Bunch of disasters, like McBush.
  • OlderAndWiser · 1 year ago
This is funny...Bush only managed to raise $3.5 million for McBush, from 500 donors. That's an average of $700 each.

Now, THAT'S FUNNY as hell! And I'll bet McBush can't even remember the amount of that, either, can't remember the number of troops, can't remember the difference between Sunni and Shi'a (or doesn't know more than likely).

The man is a disaster, but that's OK. We'll be installing President Obama next Jan 20...

I feel bad for Senator McCain. It can't be easy to endure Alzheimer's while in the public eye.

Sorry but OT Question: Does anyone know if the RBC meeting tomorrow will be televised?
  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago
    John John John....

    2/3... 1/3... its all math.

mcsame arleady admitted to not knowing about economics.

what he really MEANT to say was, he doesn't even know simple mathmatical functions... addition/subtraction... etc.

John, I almost pooped my pantalones when I saw Magoo. PLEASE make this the Americablog theme for Mcbush. He IS Magoo.
  • devis1 · 1 year ago
    Agree--I second that!
  • devis1 · 1 year ago
    Third that?
  • EdSikov · 1 year ago
Yes, the Magoo thing is fabulous. Keep it!
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
    It's good.

Though I also like John Stewart's "Grampa Simpson" graphics.
  • Dave of the Jungle · 1 year ago
John McCain's Mom is very impressive, one must say. She is not running for President.

Unfortunately, McCain exhibits a trend of increasingly serious cognitive dysfunction.

I regret that this is true.
  • jimfromthefoothills · 1 year ago
We need to make Magoo the national joke over the next 6 months. Every person in America should be referring to Magoo.
  • devis1 · 1 year ago
Hillary AND Mr. Magoo both have serious problems with math.
  • EdSikov · 1 year ago
Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol remains the best filmed version of the tale.

hmm... naughty words make the posts 'reviewed by the moderator' now huh?
  • Grimmlok · 1 year ago
my big long hillary schpiel yesterday got completely erased, and I think i only used the F word once..
  • mirth · 1 year ago
If using the word 'fuck' in a comment caused a delete, almost no comments would remain.
  • jimfromthefoothills · 1 year ago
probably a business decision (cuss words get the blog nailed by porn filters) not a censorship issues.

    How about...
    c= hillary
    mfer=rove

As in Hitler is a Hillary. Magoo is a rove.
  • mirth · 1 year ago
John has written that the c-word (and the n-word) is verboten. I thank him for eliminating these two words from the threads. I haven't noticed any other cuss words causing a comment delete.
  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago
odd.. guess I'll have to abbreviate my cuss words from now on.

one post made it through, briefly. now its gone.
  • purplegirl · 1 year ago
What I don't get is those supporters of Magoo and those in his campaign who are not old and senile, seeing his mistakes and just shrugging them off and covering for him. Talk about not caring what happens to our country. Sheesh. Wasn't having one president with Alzheimer's enough? I really can't see Cindy running interference the same way Nancy did.

It is a terrible thing when the mind starts to go. McCain is getting pretty old now.

It doesn't matter if troop levels are down or not, or levels were to "pre surge"(I always hated the term "surge" it was a troop escalation) the main goals of the surge have failed, mainly to give the Iraqi Gov't some breathing space to work out an approved oil deal and get a national consensus. Violence is going to be continual as long as the Iraqi gov't is looked upon as a puppet gov't that can't function without massive US support. Whether the surge was a tactical success, the big problem is that it is a huge strategic failure, and all the money wasted on it, should be questioned and held hearings on the matter.
