AMERICAblog: McCain sending wife Cindy to apparently broker peace in Georgia war-zone

  • Busboy · 1 year ago
Doesn't Cindy know that Obama ended the incursion into Georgia a week ago and sent the Russians packing? Is this just another Repub ploy to take credit for something Democrats have already accomplished?
  • Rufus · 1 year ago
Will she be taking beer along with her. If so, this makes sense.
  • tlsintx · 1 year ago
good lord. train wreck here we come.

What does she plan to do? Sleep with the Georgian leader to break up his marriage? She's been pretty good at that technique as potential White House First Homewrecker.

I can't help but be curious why NBC's Tim Brocunt and other ridiculously biased republican talking heads will continuously cite negative stories about the Democratic party but will blatantly ignore any negative stories about their party by dismissing them as unsourced and unverifiable. I guess NBC's Tim Brocunt really enjoys his bush Tax Cuts.

This story says that the republican bush clone wrecked a number of million dollar jets before he was shot down and captured in Viet Nam similar to the current president's destruction of multiple businesses prior to the republican party's bestowing our nation's economy upon him for him to destroy.

It was clearly documented that bush was an idiot but "red america" chose to give him charge over their economy to destroy everyone else's lives. It's almost like the folks who voted for him were so pissed off about what the republicans have done to them that they wanted them to fuck everyone else too.

Are we going to let these same vengeful douches dictate our economy for the next 4-8 years?
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
McCain also killed over 100 of his fellow crewmen too, by trying a hot dog takeoff that shot flames out his exhaust and accidently blew up the plane behind him.

  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
You just gave me an idea.

Maybe Cindy's going over there to set up a new distributorship?
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
Careful, BB; you're starting to think like a capitalist...

Why not send Michael Phelps.....he has better recoginition.

    GOOD Grief
  • ron071 · 1 year ago
It just came to me. The trophy wife will offer the Georgians a tax cut if Johnny is elected. That's it-a tax cut for the Georgians who make less than 5 million per year. That's got to be it.
  • Coming Undone · 1 year ago
How much will this cost the taxpayers to parade around Georgia, like she has real power to get things done or McCain for that matter he is not the President.
  • ron071 · 1 year ago
Coming Undone: Who is paying for this political farce of a trip? Why isn't the media asking questions about this latest McSame outrage?

This tells what a fiasco a McCain Presidency would be. Even Bush would not do such stupid things.
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
    I'd give her a chance.......
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
    To do what?

Come back with peace in our time?
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
Uh..... that would be "piece" in our time.......
  • HereinDC · 1 year ago
Her going over would make as much sense as Oprah going.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
It's funny thinking of Cindy going over there with a pink jacket and skirt and white boots, ala "Legally Blonde."
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
Save Oprah for the Polish missle crisis; Cindy can "handle" Saakashvilli.....
  • Eyeball_Kid · 1 year ago
Maybe Madonna can fly to North Korea and trade her underwear for nukes? Hey. Why not? If Vicodin Cindy now has international credentials for State Department diplomacy, why not Garter-Belt Madonna?
  • ron071 · 1 year ago
Busboy: A chance to do WHAT? Are you serious or what?
  • HereinDC · 1 year ago
So we have Dick Cheney always heading over to Saudia Arabia we there is a "problem".....

Now we have Cindy McCain heading overseas when ther eis a "problem"

Make you wonder if things don't go as planned and Cindy and Dick have to go over to kiss ASS.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
I guess she has to come up with a new foreign adventure since she got caught lying about her Mother Teresa moment.
  • canuck55 · 1 year ago
Talk about a real American hero - you just saw one speak at the convention.
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
    Was there sniper fire?
  • houstonray · 1 year ago
This absolutely and utterly boggles my mind. If it wasn't for the Convention, this should be the big "I don't know how many houses I have" story for this week....oh wait, hmmm, maybe that was the intent. Send her while all eyes are on Denver.
  • moreleesafer · 1 year ago
    From the article:

Cindy McCain said she has wanted to visit Georgia for "some time" and that trips like this are "an important part of what I'm about, what makes me tick."
    ========================
Betcha as soon as th eflight takes off she is checking all the seat cusions for pills that may have slipped from passenger's pockets.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
She probably thinks she's going to Savannah for a spa day.
  • tas · 1 year ago
"oh, this is how they will be in the White House" the spokesliar said. "but it's not timed to the Democratic Convention." OK, what would the press say if Obama had sent his wife on a foreign trip like this? they would have screamed their f'ing heads off about how presumptuous he was.
  • Andyz · 1 year ago
She's probably firming up the family's Budweiser franchise for Georgia. Or going on a shopping spree for more vicodin.
  • JamesR · 1 year ago
Heh - Vicodin? They got the REAL stuff there. Mebbe she's brokering a beer for heroin for surplus Soviet nuclear material to be delivered January 20th?
  • 1970cs · 1 year ago
Cindy must have learned that houses are cheap in Georgia.
  • moreleesafer · 1 year ago
This is just ridiculous. we can't send Michelle Obama to the bathroom without the GOP coming up with some BS ad about it. and McCain breaks out his pimpin' hand to make Cindy skidaddle her broken armed ass to Georgia to detract attention from the Dem convention. whatever.

and didn't they just send Cheney somewhere?

aaaaaanyway....the galup pole that all the channels are using shows a 45% tie for both candidates. however, if you look at the electoral votes.....we still have more. WHEW!
  • Indigo · 1 year ago
I'm not sure what the Georgian thing is all about. McCain and Cindy are playing more and more like of of those vintage 1970s less-than-well-done James Bond movies. Two thumbs down.
  • ron071 · 1 year ago
Sending his trophy-wife into a war zone to capture political points shows the real value and quality of the McCain's EXPERIENCE. Yes, his EXPERIENCE is reflected by his actions ,SINCE, of course, his stintas a POW. This guy is simply pathetic!
  • donotmakemecomedownthere · 1 year ago
Cindy thinks it's like those old WWII USO shows with Betty Grable dancing, and the soldiers are hooting and hollering, and Bob Hope yells, "Show 'em yer gams, sweetheart! Show the boys all yer assets!"

No wait, that's the First Lady Buffalo Chip contest.
  • ClintonHater · 1 year ago
I think its because Michelle is such an impressive person that they have to do this. Cindy is an over-privileged ditz. So they are sending her to Georgia so they can pump up her resume before the Republican Convention. Its great how McCain is playing politics with sensitive international issues.
  • ron071 · 1 year ago
HOW VERY OBVIOUS and PATHETIC the McSame campaign has become. They substitute for reality and expect stupidity to carry the day for them. I cannot believe that McCain is a real candidate but it seems that after Bush anyone will do.

WANT MORE SHAME ??????????VOTE McSAME !!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • JamesR · 1 year ago
I can't believe these people have no sense of what is right and appropriate and ethical. Either they do and they are doing it anyway they think we are dumb as a sack of hammers or are going after the dumbshit sheep vote, exclusively, or they truly don't really know.

I think they know - they can't possibly not know - and they are taking advantage of distraction and ignorance and tepidness of the 'media.' Unbelievable. Weaselly. (No insult intended to actual weasels.) Underhanded. Sneaky. Calculated yet immensely stupid.

" "She's on the phone with the World Food Program, he's on the phone with Saakashvili," McCain adviser Nicolle Wallace told Time. "It's like this great picture of what they'll be like in the White House." "

This is just NOT DONE. Except I guess from this crowd.

    Truly Bush League.
  • flashcard · 1 year ago
John, when I first read this I thought that you were joking. Unbelievable.

no crippled woman's marriage and non-profit organizations painkillers will be safe when Cindy's plane touches down in Georgia
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
Let me guess! Cindy is going to view the "war dead?" A country who was trained by the KGB for maximum propaganda will empty their morgues and "doctor it up" to make it look like Russians committed war crimes? Cindy will cry on queue and FOX NEWS will gush about what a great humanitarian the new "First Lady" is?

PRESUMPTUOUS is right, and also such an obvious ploy to divert attention away from the Democratic Convention. Republicans have no McShame!
  • hauksdottir · 1 year ago
I'm sure that she is contacting her old buddies about scoring more painkillers. Since her own non-profit (the one she routinely stole from) traveled to war zones and disaster areas, she knows that any aid group is apt to have a locker-full of meds ripe for her manicured-talon plucking.

    She's a druggie.

    An untreated, unreformed, unrepentant druggie.

Just like Georgie-boy Bush still consumes alcohol and is still an alcoholic, Cindy McCain will always be a drug addict.

I wouldn't let her or her staffers near the medical supplies. EVER. She is shameless about stealing from those who most need painkillers, such as wounded children undergoing emergency surgery. At least Limbaugh bought his medicine when he went doctor-shopping for prescriptions. He didn't steal from children and war-wounded. she did. And she forged prescriptions and any other thing she could do to get her hands on drugs.

    Addict.

I bet her recent wrist problem was also an attempt to get more painkillers. She certainly hasn't worked at a job likely to induce carpal tunnel syndrome... unless repeatedly waving a credit card causes injury.

    :pfffffft:
  • mbz · 1 year ago
Yep, I agree. Looks like another POW story coming down the pike.
  • Mark in Florida · 1 year ago
What business does a sitting senator's wife have over there other than a photo op?? I have one thing to say: PRESUMTUOUS, UPPITY WHITE GIRL.
  • Apphouse50 · 1 year ago
Hmmm. Methinks this is a cover for one last facelift before the election. Let's see how she looks when she returns home.
  • ron071 · 1 year ago
The THEATER of the ABSURD that has come to be the McSame campaign continues. Sending the trophy wife of a candidate for president into a war zone to capture a political point is really an unprecedented absurdity. Is McSame for real?

WANT MORE TRAGEDY ?????????McSAME WILL PROVIDE IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • wiggles · 1 year ago
McCain is sending his wife to a war zone?

She's a big grown girl, John. I believe she's sending herself to a war zone. If you bothered to read the article you'd linked, you'd know she's doing it to help provide humanitarian aid via the WFP.
  • JamesR · 1 year ago
Yes, on one hand it's perfectly proper and excusable. Sure. (Like the UN WFP doesn't have plenty of other volunteers.)

BUT - on the other hand she is, DUH, the wife of the presidential candidate who the Georgians have reasonable reason to believe would be favorable to them if elected because of his paid foreign lobbyists, for Georgia, advising him.

These facts cannot be denied by the most rabid neocon nutjob.

It's probably a lot worse - but even if it IS only some altruistic WFP jaunt, just coincidentally to a country fomenting chaos in one of the most volatile areas in the world who has seemed to have BOUGHT INFLUENCE with her or her associates, the fact that it COULD BE means any trip is completely inappropriate, and wrong. Is this the foreign policy we would get with these people? ?

Perhaps you were being sarcastic. Hard to tell on threads sometimes.
