>So all that was a big rouse of John McCain suspending his campaign so he could "solve the problem" ?

IF McCain doesn't want to be part of the solution, then he needs to drop out of the presidential race.

The 21st Century has its modern-day pirates who are every bit as dangerous as the ones from the 18th Century. Only these guys wear expensive suits and drive a BMW.

They got nuthin...McCain's people got nuthin...all they can do now is incite riots or assassination attempts on the Magic Negro (Rush Limbaugh).
I am ashamed to be an American. I am ashamed.
Shame on this nation. Shame on us for buying into the Reagan myth. And electing, over and over again, lying scum.
If anything happens to Obama in the next three weeks, this nation should hang its head in abject shame.
We are nothing more than a third world nation of barbarians and idiots.

Well, markets always correct themselves. Yeah, people may starve in the process. But that's not important, is it?

McCain has a secret plan for rescuing the economy, It's next to the one for capturing Bin Laden!

"hope they correct themselves".....dog-whistle-speak for "give my rich friends time to plunder as much as they can and run before the Law or the Government steps in to stop them".
He seems to have a *really* selective understanding of history: In the past, the times in the US that had the most freedom for business corresponded to low ebbs in Worker rights and protections....give an owner wiggle room, and he'll use it to slit the pockets of his employees.
While I'm against government for its own sake, I'm all for responsible government, governing responsibly. If that means more people making sure big business supports its employees, then so be it: I can live with that---even if I have to pay higher taxes to live with it.

This sis what partisans say when the economy tanks on their party's presidential watch. Obviously, that means that it's mostly been GOPers saying this since the time of Reagan.

Has anyone noticed how quiet Ann Coulter is lately? (knock on wood). Perhaps even she realizes what a putz McGrumpy is.

She knew it would of been a closer race if Clinton was the candidate....that's why she was for Clinton.... She knows now that there is no chance. She doesn't want to look like a fool (more of a fool) trying to support McCain. She saving all her "material" for after Nov 4th

I'm glad Obama called McCain on his campaign managers ties to Fanny and Freddie but I wish he had have been a bit more specific.
John McCain: runs from confronting the economy, runs from confronting Obama, runs from confronting the betrayal of his first family. Coward.

Um, we just gave the $700 million, didn't we? And there's little they can do? Get the fuck out.

Biggest. Fucking. Moron. Ever.
Doesn't he understand that part of the panic that's happening in the market is the fact that McCain could become President - the markets have no faith in Bush, Paulson, or in any potential Republican successor. This statement will only send traders/banks/fund managers into a deeper cycle of fear, because after reading this they all must be thinking, "Great, if McCain becomes President he'll just fiddle around the edges and let everything go to hell because he thinks Presidents can't do anything"
While Davis is at it, why doesn't he go on TV and say that Steve Jobs just had a heart attack, or maybe say that the Federal Reserve is about to default so the Fed is going to bail itself out, or some other outlandish display of stupidity.
God, if I scraped the bottom of my shoes and grew the result in a petri dish I would end up with something smarter than these jerk-offs.
