Sounds like the whole campaign financing system has become too damned complicated for me to understand. And there are TOO many loopholes.

And I'm tired of McBush trying to say that Obama "reneged" on using public financing. He merely said he would "talk with McBush" about it, but decided individual donations were the way to go. He owes McBush no explanation whatsoever.

It's going to be interesting to find out what kind of slime McBush throws at Obama today (he'll be speaking shortly near Philly...

Lindsey Graham is "hammering" this home right now on the CNN.com live feed of McCain stump. He also just brought up what Obama said in the past about people in PA clinging to their guns and religion (I don't know what he really said) AND Mr. Right Wing Hate Mongerer just said "if Obama becomes President you better cling to your guns because he is coming after you". WTF??? McCain wants to be known as a maverick and not part of the Bush crowd, but yet he keeps surrounding himself with idiots like this.

"McCain/Palin Tax Cut?" Riiiiight...he continues to bring up "Joe the Plummer" (the low-info spelling) as his salvationary meme...someone who doesn't even own a small business, and if he did, wouldn't get anything cut. Why doesn't McBush tell people the truth: that 2/3 of corporations paid absolutely NO income taxes last year?

"Raising taxes" or removing the temporary rules Bush set in place for the past 8 years to allow wealthy keep more of their money? McCain keeps hitting on this subject and it really pisses me off. Yes, the wealthy have benefited immensely from the Republican tax cuts but now it is time for them to pay their fair share. I am fed up with this trickle down crap, it doesn't work. The money stays at the top, period.

Then there is business. Yes, American business has some of the highest tax rates BUT that would only hurt them IF they actually paid taxes. Too many large businesses use tax loopholes and wind up paying little if any taxes. And tax cuts to business, look how well that has worked, more and more jobs disappearing but that damn tax cuts remain in effect.

it's not just public finance laws he's skirting.... he's also soliciting foreigners, specifically the Russians for donations... I guess since Palin can see Russia from her living room window it makes it okey dokey...

The worst part is that even if he was completely breaking the law, there's essentially no recourse for punishing him. If he wins, what are they going to do, revoke the Presidency? All he can get is a fine that he can raise money to pay.
