AMERICAblog: McCain stood up by Joe the Plumber

  • tlsintx · 1 year ago
wow. this is the story of McCain's campaign...

Joe the Plumber to McCain: You're on your own, sucker.
  • DanR2 · 1 year ago
    bwahahahah

Maybe Joe finally read Obama's tax cut plan.
  • Ksue · 1 year ago
    Hilarious.

And by the way ... can anyone point me to the QUOTE where Obama said he wanted to 'spread the wealth' around? Did he really use those words?

Or how about the actual words when he 'promised' McCain that he wouldn't do the public financing thing?
  • Milli · 1 year ago
  • MNUSA · 1 year ago
What amazes me is that what on earth is wrong with spreading the wealth around? Does McCain think the CEOs should keep it all?
  • sukabi1 · 1 year ago
ummm, in a word -- YES
  • Milli · 1 year ago
A lot of corporations pay absolutely NO taxes, but these republican voters are bitching about Obama wanting to give us back some of the taxes we've paid over the past 8 years? These people thrive in a culture of ignorance. They don't even know they are being manipulated into voting against their best interests. If they don't want their their tax break, they should just forward it on to Exxon-Mobil.

    They're all morans.

money is not the root of all evil. Greed is.

I figured that out as a child. money isn't bad. it buys food and education. depriving someone of food or education so you can have more money is the true evil.
  • Milli · 1 year ago
I think he has the hots for Sarah. He ain't getting nothing out of the old guy.
  • JohnInTexas · 1 year ago
Joe was probably still in makeup.
  • PeteWa · 1 year ago
listen to that cheering, what are there twenty people there, all in back of McLame?
  • ProgressiveTroll · 1 year ago
Hey, McBush, your friend "Joe" has moved on to greener pastures. Thanks for putting two of the biggest idiot putzs on the planet in the limelight. I'm really pissed. Biden is in south St. Louis right now and not one of the channels is even mentioning it. My husband and 300 of his fellow laid off as of yesterday union brothers and sisters are there. I was hoping it would at least get a quick shout out, should have known better. The last Chrysler minivan rolled off the line yesterday at Fenton south. Lots of tears all around. The last time Biden was in town, he acknowledged them, they are hoping he will have time for a quick meeting before he rolls out of town.
  • aquarius2 · 1 year ago
I found this on KSKD, it says Biden won't speak until 10am. Maybe there will be more after he gives his speech.

    Thanks!!!
  • LeeFromHamburgNY · 1 year ago
My heart felt condolences to both you and your husband. The business I worked for closed down the end of May, and at 58 I'm not having a lot of luck finding another job. Hope things get brighter before I run out of unemployment...
  • ProgressiveTroll · 1 year ago
Cindy the cold one, seemed very chilled even in a big coat. I was surprised, I didn't think that cold person could get any colder.
  • aquarius2 · 1 year ago
Once again, all I noticed was the bobble head, up and down, up and down. The woman is going to need a neck brace by next Tuesday.
  • AdrianBrowne · 1 year ago
I predicted that Joe's new found celebrity status would land him in rehab. It just happened sooner than I thought.
  • JohnInTexas · 1 year ago
Damn, who is that to John's left, Sarah without makeup? yikes
  • Indigo · 1 year ago
If Joe gets that country music gig, he'll be on AM radio and I'll never hear of him again. I wish him luck.
  • michaelt · 1 year ago
    he's just pathetic.
  • ChicagoKid · 1 year ago
That speaks volumes about how bad McSame is going to lose. Even "Joe Not Really a Plumber" ditches him. He was too busy get told to fuc*off by those who won't give him a country-western music contract.
  • MNUSA · 1 year ago
Maybe Joe the Plumber had to actually do some work today. What does he do anyway that he can be at all these political rallies?
  • aquarius2 · 1 year ago
Which begs the question, who is paying for his travel? We know he is paying for his own clothes, jeans and a fannel shirt.
  • sukabi1 · 1 year ago
he's been a McCain operative from the moment he questioned Obama on his lawn... so I'm guessin', if he decides to pay his taxes this year there will be some kind of "other" income disclosed... either that or he's gotten a nice account in the Caymans that he's been promised ... after ditching McCain today, he'd better hope he does get a record deal, because the only thing he's likely to get now is a whole bunch of verbal abuse.
  • JohnInTexas · 1 year ago
His taxes got paid, some "group" raised the money for him, heard it last week.
  • aquarius2 · 1 year ago
Oh gee, I wonder just who paid off the guy's taxes. LOL LOL What a loser!
  • KarenMrsLloydRichards · 1 year ago
He "works" as an unqualified helper to the real plumber. Wurzelbacher is the kind of bullshitter who's everyone's ex-brother-in-law: big dreams, small results.
  • sukabi1 · 1 year ago
From the sounds of it, even McCain's "supporters" are getting tired of the same old shit... and did you notice the background noise? McCain's camp doesn't let any outside signage or other stuff into his rallies, instead hands out all those "official" and "handmade" signs... sounds like they've started handing out cheap pans or empty oatmeal canisters for the folks to bang on as well... (banging sounds like the "instruments" my kids "played" when they were toddlers)
  • kh7463 · 1 year ago
The Obama rally in Highland, IN isn't allowing any signs in tomorrow night either. No idea if they're handing anything out.
  • Steve_in_CNJ · 1 year ago
the irony is that sammy joe isn't going to get obama's tax cut after all -- he will be in 7 figures next year. so in that sense mccain is telling the truth.
  • aquarius2 · 1 year ago
LOL! I said the same earlier, Old Joe is going to work himself right out the lower tax bracket!
  • Butch1 · 1 year ago
At least that will finally give him something truthful to bitch about if he becomes a success other than the obvious tripe handed to him by McCain. No one has actually heard him sing, but that doesn't stop many successful groups today. It's obvious the republicans believe in image over real credentials or talent.
  • DeppFan · 1 year ago
You think McBush would've taken a second to look around and see if J.T. Plumber was in the house before dropping his name.
    Tsk.
Cindy is seriously thinking of dropping a percocet into her starbucks.
  • MnDem · 1 year ago
I never thought I would say this, but that was just sad and pitiful. It's so painful to watch, it's hard to even make fun of it.
  • ProgressiveTroll · 1 year ago
    My thoughts exactly.
  • Mark in Florida · 1 year ago
Oh not for me.....I say kick him when he is down. They have been kicking us in the teeth for eight years in the executive branch and the better part of 14 years in the congress.

McCain deserves all the embarrassemnt he can get for foisting Palin on us, and for running such a hideous, negative campaign.
  • meemers · 1 year ago
LMFAO! Check out John McCains new campagne ad! I am JOE. What a f*cking joke!

  • JohnInTexas · 1 year ago
I'm surprised the dog didn't say "I am Joe"...he's probably the only one named Joe in the whole ad.
  • meemers · 1 year ago
    LOMFAO! You'r probably right!
  • Butch1 · 1 year ago
It looked like every one of them had to read a cue card to say their lines! LOL
  • dougg · 1 year ago
Home Depot would want a fake plumber as their spokesman? Hard to imagine.
  • EmGD · 1 year ago
Joe's too busy cutting that country album and telling everyone that Obama is one of them socialist Israel destroyers. It's going to be the loose theme with which he builds his album around.

Naaa, he is probably tied up with some male trick in some seedy hotel!

    We are Devo.
  • tduffy2 · 1 year ago
Jeeze, and all this time I thought I was a Georgian.
  • kimbutgar · 1 year ago
Even Joe the plumber doesn't want to be around a loser!

On another note I can't help but feel that "Joe the plumber" was a plant and eventually it will come out that he was hired by the McCain campaign to confront Obama. They just ran too quickly with this Joe the plumber thing to be coincidental! Walter Joe) is an opportunist who would probably sell his Mother to the highest bidder to get his 15 minute's of fame.
  • JohnInTexas · 1 year ago
Anybody notice if Joe has any eyebrows? If not, he's probably actually JOE THE DRAG QUEEN
  • Butch1 · 1 year ago
This is beyond desperate. He has absolutely nothing to say except attacks what Obama will do and beat ( or is that bleat) on that tired, over used, beat to death, "Joe the Plumber" tripe.) He's so lame and toast, he couldn't even find a real plumber to be his cardboard cutout of what middle class America really is. He's even afraid to say the words middle-class. It's like a pox on the rich if they have to even say the word. Cant wait for November the 5th., even more, I can't wait for January 20th.
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
Funny Stuff. Plumber Joe is out working the streets to get as much as he can out of his 15 minutes of fame, which are down to the last five. One week to go, and the dumber Plumber and ailin' Palin will both disappear.
  • KarenMrsLloydRichards · 1 year ago
And to think that this old mess is still beloved of at least 42% of the electorate. . .
  • kh7463 · 1 year ago
    Scary thought isn't it?
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
You know you're a loser when even other losers are standing you up.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
    LOL!

    "You're all Joe the Plumber!"

    Good recovery--not.
  • Mark in Florida · 1 year ago
    ..........AWKWARD.......
  • LeeFromHamburgNY · 1 year ago
Pay me enough money and I'll (pretend to) support McCain or anyother person they want. What I actually do in the voting booth is nobody's business but mine.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
    Even more pathetic.

    From Chuck Todd:

A local school district official confirmed after the event that of the 6,000 people estimated by the fire marshal to be in attendance this morning, more than 4,000 were bused in from schools in the area. The entire 2,500-student Defiance School District was in attendance, the official said, in addition to at least three other schools from neighboring districts, one of which sent 14 buses.

Please let Tuesday arrive quickly. Please let this sad little man go home(s) and get out of the spotlight. Please let him take Cold Cindy, Sarah and JTP with him.

I need a cup of Sanity.
  • luvboxer · 1 year ago
What is wrong with Cindy...seems like she would like to hide from this fiasco...poor Cindy.
  • Mark in Florida · 1 year ago
I noticed that too. She is like WTF?
  • kh7463 · 1 year ago
I think Joe has taken more than his "15 minutes" share. Sheesh.
  • lost_nacf_gop · 1 year ago
    Quick! Cue Nelson (the) Muns:

    "HA-hah!"
  • Mark in Florida · 1 year ago
This joe the plumber thing has got to be dividing the McCain camp. When this moron starts talking about policy to reporters, that makes him a serogate. I think what happened is the McCain people told Joe not to show, and no one told McCain. Because perhaps McCain thinks this guy is actually a winning strategy?

They are not communicating in the McCain camp, this looks small, but it's a symptom of rats jumping off of a sinking ship. McCain looked like an idiot, on this video, and I imagine w/ his temper someone is getting their ass chewed out.
  • JustAnOldLady · 1 year ago
I'm going as "Josephine the Plumber" for Halloween.........
  • joetheplunger · 1 year ago
Joe was in McCain's pocket the whole time. He forgot where he keeps his own imaginary friend. How silly! Or maybe Joe rode off on the invisible 6 inch unicorn?
  • trish_downunder · 1 year ago
Everyone knows you can't rely on tradesmen to turn up on time!

What? John McCain has never had to call a plumber before? Oh.

"The May 29, 1993 edition of The Onion has a preposterous fake story about a character named Roy the Forklift driver becoming a media darling of the conservative movement."

    http://www.boingboing.net/2008/10/30/onion-head...

Reading the Onion is like looking into the future, only in a frightening and sad way.
