AMERICAblog: McCain supporter Lady Lynn Forester de Rothschild thinks poor Indians are buying Estee Lauder lipstick

  • HereinDC · 1 year ago
Her husband is 24 years older than her.

No wonder she has a fetish for John McCain
  • Nigel Elliott · 1 year ago
Lady de Rothschild called Obama an elitist! Hypocrisy thy name is Rothschild. LOL

“This is a hard decision for me personally because frankly I don't like him,” she said of Obama in an interview with CNN’s Joe Johns. “I feel like he is an elitist. I feel like he has not given me reason to trust him.”

And this is significant news? I don't give a shit who she supports, she sounds like a complete airhead to me and probably will to most other average americans. Just because she is worth more $$$ than God doesn't mean she knows shit about what she's talking about. Let McDoofus have her money and the spew coming out of her mouth.
  • Steve_in_CNJ · 1 year ago
"capitalist" friends? is that code for old-money rich? if she really wants to know why they don't like democrats, i can help her out. hint: it has nothing to do with the health of the economy.
  • tlsintx · 1 year ago
what a disgrace to women everywhere.

money over your own tribe. blech. take her, we don't want her.
I guess Obama didn't bow down and kiss her foot? Is that why she thinks he's uppity, I mean "arrogant"?
  • JNo · 1 year ago
Okay Obama camp, the ad writes itself. Get cracking!
  • Rab · 1 year ago
Rothschild, would that be the family of "head up de ass Rothschilds"?
  • JohnInTexas · 1 year ago
Doesn't her ladyship know, those Indians probably own Estee Lauder already, if not, probably will soon.
  • triple7s · 1 year ago
The gifts just keep on coming. You just can't make up shit like this. Hope she's in the news cycle a LOT.
  • Nuffsaid · 1 year ago
So, was she born into her money or did she she marry it. Funny how the people that have done the least to earn their money are always talking about people "Pulling themselves up by their boot straps." Neither McCain or his wife have ever done anything to deserve the position they hold.
  • aquarius2 · 1 year ago
Supposedly she was an attorney who did quite well, well enough to attend a Bilderberg meeting
  • HereinDC · 1 year ago
I saw the bumper sticker on her car...
    it read:
    "Country Club First"
  • Heather · 1 year ago
Wow, poor Obama must be devestated that she doesn't like him. She seems like such a wonderful woman! <gag>
  • Happy_Housewife · 1 year ago
This should be played up. Aren't the Rothschilds part of that whole trilateral commission stuff? Might be a good way to get some winguts over to Bob Barr or to write in Ron Paul. Every little bit helps.

And on the comedic front, she's doesn't like and doesn't trust McCain, but she's endorsing him. WTF?
  • aquarius2 · 1 year ago
Too much money, too much ego and not enough brains to get involved with politics. She would do better writing a book on How to marry a billionaire

hahahhaaaaa! So this gal meets her true love (24 years her senior and wealthier than god) at a Bilderberg meeting and now she is an authority on elitism? Hmmm, that really doesn't suggest to me she can list herself an authority on anything except how to snag a rich husband. Read the link to find out about Bilderberg.

  • Butch1 · 1 year ago
This is where she has more in common with McBush, they both were out for snagging a rich partner. ;-)
  • barts · 1 year ago
Ah, the feverish musings of the lurid ultra affluent.

John, thanks for the laughs. I needed it especially today.

Can the DNC please boot this moron out of the party.
  • Rab · 1 year ago
Can we please boot the DNC out of the party.
  • hopelesspedant · 1 year ago
The DNC is the Democratic National Party.

It IS the Democratic party - it is the executive operating committee that runs the party.
  • Rab · 1 year ago
Right, the same one that Obama has to retool to get rid of all the repug-lite dickheads that are in there.
  • IzzyStoner · 1 year ago
What next? A Montgomery Burns endorsement for McCain? Even the Simpsons couldn't top this!

    Thurston Howell III
  • deked26 · 1 year ago
That tells me more about Hillary's position on Big Business than Lynn Forester de Rothschild's.
  • JamesR · 1 year ago
Um, doesn't she know she can't hold a title and be a citizen of the USA? I suppose she thinks she can just do it, and not get caught as the teeth to such arcane laws have long fallen out, but it is just so not done. It is ironically classless n'est-ce pas? She was born in NEW Jersey, (USA.)

She was / is? a Democrat? Jeeez - don't they ever throw members out??? NOTHING is more undemocratic, and should be un-Democratic, than having / using / brandishing a (fucking) TITLE. Good God. Nothing wrong with actual Brits having them, but it is a defining characteristic of the difference between us eh?

Now she can cavort with Dame McCain and Countess Cheney freely without faux guilt.
  • barts · 1 year ago
I feel like I'm watching "Dangerous Liasons, Part Deux". All we need is McCain to have an affair with her Ladyship.
  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago
umm... this woman doesn't realize they live on a caste system in India.

so... 250 million are middle class? tell them that and see how they react.

... and I suppose, by endorsing mcsame, she'd like the US on a caste system as well.

once the theocracy is complete, we'll be there.
  • Mark in Florida · 1 year ago
I saw this....and she calls Barack Elitest....dear god. I don't think even the low info voters will buy this crap.

She says she has not heard anything that would sway her to Obama....when I hear this, and someone is still voting against their self interest, we all know what is going on here:

Ugly, hideous, disgusting racism. Plain and simple. I calls em like I sees em.

PS: Who really cares about what this wacko has to say anyway. Hillary wants nothing to do with this woman.
  • hopelesspedant · 1 year ago
Actually, Indian has the largest middle class in the world. And enormous wealth at the top.

It also has of course overwhelming poverty.

But it is wrong to stereotype India. There 200-300 million people there who live comfortably, have decents homes, cars, kids in college, and yes, interest in cosmetics and Starbucks.

Other than that, the post is dead-on.

McSame rubbing shoulders with the ELITE!!!
  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago
That's more like "McSame, endorsed by the elite."
  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago
this reminds me of a quote from a rich college girl to her father, regarding her friends that he didn't approve of...

"You just don't understand them daddy... you know, some of them don't even have trust funds"

    true quote.

For the real men of the Republican Party, who elected cheerleader George and five-deferments/other-priorities Dick as President and VP, who choose men such as don't-forget-to-measure Foley and wide-stance Larry for Congress, and who listen to anal-cyst Rush every day, having a "Lady" who is also a "de" on their side must seem like a real step up.

To be fair, she does seem like she would be an expert on black Americans being "arrogant."
  • aquarius2 · 1 year ago
Good blog read about this woman.

This from Comcast: " Top Clinton fundraiser backing McCain, not Obama
    4 hours ago

WASHINGTON — John McCain's campaign says the Republican is picking up the support of a top Hillary Clinton fundraiser and member of the Democratic National Committee's Platform Committee.

Lynn Forester de Rothschild has said she thinks Democratic nominee Barack Obama is arrogant and has a problem connecting with average Americans. . . ."
    ==========================================================
So she thinks Obama is "arrogant", I wonder if she thinks he is "uppity" as well?!
  • Sage24 · 1 year ago
She sounds totally disconnected from reality. Pity...all that money, attitude, but alas, no brains.

She must have been a DINO, or else she would not be talking like this, and supporting McCain, the man who owns more houses than he remembers, 100 million rich, and thinks that our economy is basically sound.

It is no loss for the Dems to have her voting for McCain.
  • LawMichigander · 1 year ago
How is it possible for Rich Fat Cat Republicans to call Obama elitist, Kerry I can understand but Obama. This is a thinly veiled attack at race. We can not let people get away with hiding real racism. In November if folks want to vote against Obama due to his race despite his policies then they should at least be forced to admit that.

You're a funny man, John. Love it! What I don't get about the De named crowd is this: It will cost them only a little money each year, to do a lot of good that will make the country much better and prevent us from getting so desperate that we finally decide to cook and eat them. It is in their self-interest to be better citizens than they are right now. There are nations that have stayed on the track we're on until the divide between rich and poor was so great, rich people have to barricade their homes and hire bodyguards to hustles them in and out of those homes to go shopping and visiting one another. What a life! Lady De could prevent all that and only give up a tiny tiny portion of her big fat fortune. Yet she doesn't want to do it! Incredible.

Why on earth should anyone be listening to another aging blonde gold digger married to an extremely rich old fart? Of course she's going to back McCain - she probably only was backing Clinton because she felt that there was no way that Clinton could get elected because of her polarizing personality and she wanted to keep someone else from being on the ticket who could.

All you have to do is read about the candidates, study their ideas carefully, see where they get their money, look at the advisors they surround themselves with and assess the last eight years under Bush. Don't forget that the Republican's controlled both houses for most of that time and continue to block any meaningful legislation from the current congress. You'll make the right decision if you have any level of free and independent though process left.

We don't need advice from people like this.

what a sad lady she would'nt know what middleclass was if it slapped her in the face she needs to take her millon's or billon's and go sit down she came across on cnn like a women scorned what did'nt get her way today what was her motive she is a elites from way back cnn has better things to report then her buying time to get on tv to whine and complain i hope she gets out of our dnc party we do'nt need her we got oprah!!!
  • flowgo · 1 year ago
mighty funny all the rich people like trump and de rothchild are running to mccain's side today why do they think we are stupid a blind person can see this strategy they are gathering around mccain so they can keep their taxes down they don't care about the middleclass their only thinking about them self's what a bunch of bleep bleep's!!

It is so painfully obvious that the highly affluent are quaking in their boots at the notion that Obama might balance the scales that have weighed so heavily to their advantage in the past 8 years. She is a self-proclaimed "lady" and not one I'd care to share a crumpet with. She should go back to moving her money around in various profit-making entities while she still can.....

Change is coming Ms.Rothschild, and you will not be immune from it this time!
  • flowgo · 1 year ago
this could be a plot to help mccain by rothchild doing the dirty work of hillary remember a women scorned rothchild said she was'nt leaving the dnc party just voting for the other guy and also remember hillary called obama an elitis that sent the media running crazy trying the same old trick again, why are people saying that the first blackman to get this far is a elitis because he looks nice and neat and speak's well i know that his wife michell is a sister and i know she is keeping it real as she can in the public eye so all those out there need to stop hating and start supporting and help make history for our country.let's look good around the world again.
