White trash is a term that is very powerful and very negative here in the South. As a Yankee, it seems rather silly to me but not round heah...dems fightin words. Good. Having been called faggot, queer, pansie, fairy, homo all my life, I shall continue to band the term White Trash around as freely as I wish. I disagree with you. It IS about social class. Anyone with a decent education is lacking in bigotry. The ignorance is not being pushed down from on high. They are merely exploiting it to get votes. Most GOP elite giggle about the "Walmart Republicans" and giggle all the way home from the polls, knowing the white trash are voting for them for all the wrong reasons.

The same ignorance that dismisses gays as being less than human. The move in the past few weeks for the religious fanatics to take over the White House is something I never dreamed of. I saw them as a threat but never that they would get McCain and the whole Republican army to give in to them. I know you are practising the Canadian Anthem, I know the English and French versions and there are lots of teaching jobs in small towns across Canada.

What abot Patrick and Adam Putnam claiming that the only people that don't want them involved in the Schiavo matter are those people that hate America?
Rahm just sucks. Adam Putnam should have never been re-elected. 80% of the U.S. was pissed about the Schiavo Fiasco.

Chris, it's not just his Social Security that he happily accepts, he also gets a 100% disability check each month from the VA and his Senate salary... The VA usually saves their 100% disability rulings for those who can't and won't be able to hold a full-time job ever -- due to physical or mental disease.... I'd like to know how it is that McCain is able to collect a full disability (apparently without review) and hold a full-time job... that's something that no other veteran is allowed to do.
And he gets his full disability, and health care from the government WHILE TRYING TO KEEP OTHER VETS FROM GETTING ADEQUATE CARE.

How do we get people to not pay attention to Hurricane Ike?
I know everything will have to be fine because Bush missed the GOP Convention to take care of all the "Hurricane Matters".
If Palin can make fun of Obama holding back the waters, Bush will certainly redirect a Hurricane.
No blue tarps this year.....it's election season.

I thought it was eight houses. Romney has twelve. But who's counting? I was at a lunch with "the boys" yesterday. At 67, I was the youngest. After, we had a round (okay, rectangle) meeting where certain subjects, artistic, technical, and political were discussed. I can tell you that I was not the one who used the term MILF, and one gentleman in his eighties said "I'd do her." Now, who's got star status?
