So, Vets for Freedom wants Barrack Obama to visit Iraq again because everything has changed in two years.
I'm sure if Vets For Freedom actually remembered what life was like in the military, they would know that whenever a visiting senator or legislator visits a military base, things that have been broken for months or years, are amazingly fixed, repainted and covered up. The cooks serve food that actually tastes good for the photo-op of the legislator eating with the troops. Vets, like myself, have seen the dog and pony shows that the military cooks up for dignataries.
Maybe Barrack can go to an open air market, like McCain did, in bullet proof vests, with 4 helicopters above, tanks and hundreds of soldiers and marines escorting him, so he can get a "real view" of what's happening in Iraq and go shopping for rugs.

Where oh Where are my democratic 527s? Needed are super smart and politically savy people willing to go for the political kill. McCain needs to feel the blunt and brute force of some 527s that expose his weaknesses without any mercy. McCain plans to do this to Obama so turn about is fair play. Are you ready democrats?

Obama stopped at least one Democratic 527 from running ads on his behalf. Can't someone file FEC complaint against McCain? If we have a greater Senate majority in November (we are losing at least one Senator - Obama when he becomes President), Reid better remove Lieberman from all committee assignments.

I think there are too many open spots on the FEC (thank you Bush Administration) for it to have any ability to do anything. McCain is already breaking federal law with the whole "i'm in, I'm out-gate" snafu a few weeks back...he should be under investigation already, but there is not a quorum on the FEC to do anything. The campaigns all know this, and it is telling that the Republicans are taking advantage of it, and even Hillary does not appear to be breaking any actual campaign rules or laws.

This will create a very serious problem for Obama during the general election campaign. As much as we can admire his position on outside advocates, McCain will use them and use them well. We have already seen the racist, underhanded attacks from republican groups. McCain will get up and say shame, shame without any impact. (Probably with a smirk on his face.) Obama will have to handle the attacks on his own. It will spread him too thin and make him look too defensive. Obama has to accept that there is a place for 527's and campaign surrogates. It is just necessary for these groups to understand the limits on civilized discourse and advocacy. A hard but necessary task if we are to change the dynamics of hyper partisan politics in this country.
When will LIEberman lose his committee seats as a sitting "Dem?" What the hell is wrong with the Democratic leadership? Harry?????

Here's the scary part: those fools are the plutocracy that runs things now. Dislodging them will be a magnitude of diffiuclty that might be considerably more than we anticipate since we often think in terms of doing the intelligent thing. These are people who willfully and all to often successfully attack anything that smells intelligent. They hate that. And as P.T. Barnum is said to have said, "Nobody every lost money overestimating the stupidity of the American public."

Reid cannot remove Lieberman from his committee assignments. If Reid does it now, then Lieberman will probably go cry and whine to his Republican friends who will accept him with open arms. We lose the Senate majority. Because Lieberman chose to leave the Democratic party and principles for a "so-called" independent spot, he now has power until there is a big enough majority. Reid and other shave said, Lieberman votes with Democrats a majority of times...it is only on the high profile, media hyped bills that he seems to vote with Republicans.

ObamaMiraculous - your interpretation of Glenn Greenwald's column regarding John Harris at Politico is really quite amazing. I've never seen anything that Glenn has written that makes him a Hillary supporter. In addition, he didn't criticize AmericaBlog. Thirdly, his criticism had nothing to do with some perceived "jealousy" on his part that any of those websites got more traffic.
