AMERICAblog: McCain today introduced by man comparing Obama to Tiger Woods

  • Tom3 · 1 year ago
Busboy is a McCainiac Repuke racist pig and he actually supports gratuitous racial slurs. That's because he's a gratuitious racist. And a liar about it, like every other Repuke in the US.

The Repukes are the White Supremacy party. Sieg Heil!!
  • johnosahon · 1 year ago
actually, tiger woods is NOT part white, he is part asian.
  • Nigel Elliott · 1 year ago
    johnosahon,

don't let McCain find out Tiger's part Asian. McCain's PTSD may kick back in. ;-)

    johnosahon,

I think John is right. Tiger has some Dutch blood too.

    Go fuck yourself, Busboy.

You're a Chimpyloving McCainiac and a TRAITOR to this great nation.
  • Tom3 · 1 year ago
Repukes are RACISTS. This is just further proof.

Karen is right, this could backfire on McCain.

Nascar Dads also love to play golf and they think Tiger Woods is great.
  • HereinDC · 1 year ago
Yep, that was a racist comment if I ever heard one.

I will take Tiger thank you. At least he didn't marry his money, he earned it.

    OT but interesting.

Amy Goodman had interviews with women raped by KBR employees in Iraq.

Over 40 women have come forward to report being drugged, raped and beaten but KBR is covering it up.

Cheney used to run KBR. I bet if they ask him about the rapes, he will reply, "So?"

Further proof that we have lost Iraq and are losing our American values.

CuntiLezzie Rice okayed Blackwater for another year, without asking Iraq. They murdered 17 Iraqis last year and have other incidents.

It looks like James Hoffa also compared Obama to Woods today on the Obama conference call...
    http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/0408/Hof...

Quote: "ALSO: Hoffa is asked about Obama's race, and says, "He's like a Tiger Woods -- he's just a great person who's excited a lot of people.'"

    Just putting that out there...

    racist and/or clueless
That sums up today's GOP quite nicely.

    McCain's Al Qaeda confusion

At today's Senate Armed Services Committee hearing, McCain once again seemed to make a muddle of the whole Shiite-Al Qaeda thing. It came in this exchange with Gen. David Petraeus.

SEN. MCCAIN: There are numerous threats to security in Iraq and the future of Iraq. Do you still view al Qaeda in Iraq as a major threat?

GEN. PETRAEUS: It is still a major threat, though it is certainly not as major a threat as it was, say, 15 months ago.

SEN. MCCAIN: Certainly not an obscure sect of the Shi'ites, all overall, or Sunnis or anybody else.

Good thing he quickly threw Sunnis in there. At least he didn't need Lieberman to bail him out this time.

McCain may want to work on this obvious weakness in his Iraq fund of knowledge. Maybe flash cards would help.

What dumbfuck Sgt Bilko doesn't grasp is that Tiger is revered as a fucking GOD by the Office Park Dads in the electorate.

    ----

    That's what I was thinking.

You'd have to be off in some kind of Looney Tune Wingnut World to try to diss Obama by calling him "Tiger Woods."

Guy probably spends all his time watching Fox News, where they say Tiger Woods is a dangerous radical.

The more I hear McCain mis-speak the more Bushian he appears.

The stress will pop him like a popcorn kernel by October I'm sure.

Blackwater Bulks Up Air Power Using Little-Known Company

Private security contractor Blackwater Worldwide has purchased a light attack counterinsurgency aircraft, and over two dozen other aircraft, under the name of an obscure aviation company.

An Embraer Super Tucano was placed on the U.S. civil aircraft registry on February 21, 2008 under the name of EP Aviation LLC. Additionally, 28 other aircraft have been registered to this company, most over the past few months. The list includes 14 Bell 412 helicopters, as well as a number of fixed wing aircraft.

While Blackwater hasn't advertised this news, neither is it keeping it a state secret (EP Aviation isn't the sneakiest way to hide connections to Blackwater owner Erik Prince). A spokesperson for Blackwater, in fact, confirmed to Danger Room that EP Aviation is an affiliate of Blackwater.

Jane's Defence Weekly first reported last year that Blackwater was trying to get an import license for the Super Tucano. (The Super Tucano's recent registration was first reported as a small item in the April issue of Air Forces Monthly.) But what isn't clear is why the company would register these aircraft under the name EP Aviation LLC. After all, Blackwater has another, better known, affiliate, Presidential Airways, which also has a number of registered aircraft.

    OH.MY.GOD.

    Obama = Tiger Woods

Now that is REALLY, REALLY inappropriate. Someone needs to apologize for their blatant racism.

Just saw confirimed bachelor, Senator Lindsay Graham, and a gaggle of Republican cheerleader Senators talking up the Iraq catastrophe on CNN. Graham is looking VERY HAGGARD lately. Aunt Bee is in dire need of a boob job and face lift stat!

McCain is probably not a racist but he's letting people around him tag him with the crypto-racist label. The question in my mind reflects badly on him, but not in a racist sense. I'm concerned that he doesn't understand what's being said. He honestly doesn't get it. That's appalling!
I've said it before but it's worth repeating: friends don't let friends vote Republican.

I think you meant that both are part black, Tiger's father is African-American and Barak's father is African. Only Barack'ss mother is white, Tiger's is not, she was Asian. Another example of whites being given more credit than they deserve. Didn't you guys watch the Dave Chapelle?

    the "audacity of hope."

    Heh heh.

According to Roget's Thesaurus, the definition of audacity is "recklessness" and "arrogance." Some of the synonyms listed include "rashness," "balls," "defiance," "disrespectfulness," "impudence," "insolence," "rudeness" and "shamelessness."

the rashness of hope? the balls of hope? the defiance of hope? the disrespectfulness of hope? the impudence of hope? the insolence of hope? the rudeness of hope? the shamelessness of hope?

Yup...they sound more like McCain than probably Bellavia realized or hoped.

Incidentally, some of the antonyms for audacity include courtesy, decorum, propriety, humility and modesty. Again, for McCain, apt antonyms indeed.

Cthulhu, what a moron. Most parents expect their kids to model themselves after winners, not overgrown bullies who blame others for the messes they made, (Google "Forrestal fire") get into fistfights with their colleagues (Renzi and Thurmond) and use language to their wives that should be rewarded with a mouthful of Fels-Naptha.
  • elayneriggs · 1 year ago
Giving Bellavia the benefit of the doubt, Obama and Woods have more in common than outward appearance. They're both pathbreakers, achieving heights in their chosen profession previously denied or shut out to others of similar background. They're both unique "brand names" who have changed a lot of people's views. Of course, the nonsense about McCain being audacious... well, I suppose he is, but probably not in the way Bellavia meant it.
  • Gayle · 1 year ago
I can't believe what I just read. SSG Bellavia didn't compliment or compare the achievements of Sen Obama or Mr. Woods. He simply and clearly insulted them in his tone, comparison, and body language. And furthermore, Sen Obama and Mr. Woods are not "brand names" they are both accomplished "PROFESSIONALS" by their own right and chosen career fields. I thought "brand names" were things like Tide, Joy, Irish Spring, Charmin.

Frankly, I think Tiger Woods seems like a pretty nice guy. He's certainly successful. Isn't he part Asian rather than white? Not that it matters - we're all part of the family of man.

I hope this turns the Golfers of America against McCain,
  • scepticalobserver · 1 year ago
I Obama can do for our country what Tiger has done for golf, the future is looking bright indeed.
  • ExHack · 1 year ago
Actually, that's not the only similarity between Obama and Tiger Woods. Both are high achievers in their chosen vocations. Both are charismatic individuals often looked up to as role models. McCain, however, seems to be more of a cranky old polarizer. Nice comparison by his supporter. Keep it up, guys.

  • JayWilson · 1 year ago
Actually, Tiger's father is a typical mix of African, European and Native American stock. So, actually, he and Barack have two things in common: Part Black and Part White. But Tiger is also part Native American and part Asian, so he wins the Multi-racial Derby.

As for the racially insensitive Sargeant, he is a living testament to the fact that our Armed Forces are a microcosm of America. And to the notion that guys that are racist against Blacks, tend to be racist against Arabs and Persians too, and so don't care if our country employs them to kill great numbers of Arabs and Persians to no great purpose or end. And, of course, they then collect into groups with words like "Victory" in them - or "Klux" - because either nobody else will talk to them or it makes their heads hurt to hear other people's opinions. So naturally, they are all about McCain.
  • Gayle · 1 year ago
What an embarrasing and poorly put together RACIST ntroduction. As a retired African American - US Army Master Sergeant I was offended and embarrassed. I couldn't help wondering if the Senator's campaign just grabbed this Army Staff Sergeant right off the street - at the last minute , or was this pre-planned just to attract the Hispanic or Latino vote? SSGT Bellavia should research the blood lines and individual achievements of Sen Obama and Mr. Tiger Woods, along with the history of the American civil rights struggle for the same rights and civil liberties that he, his family, and millions of non-white Americans and immigrants enjoy today; regardless of skin tone. SSGT Bellavia don't just pass down blind racism and stupidity to your children.
  • cellopaddy · 1 year ago
Not that it matters but just for the record:

    Mother: 1/2 Thai, 1/4 Caucasian, 1/4 Chinese

Father: 1/2 Black, 1/4 American Indian, 1/4 Chinese

Total- Woods is 1/2 Asian, 1/4 Black, 1/8 White & 1/8 Native American.
  • Chris · 1 year ago
    1. Can someone with access ask David Bellavia what he meant?
    2. One possibility is that David Bellavia had in mind Tiger Woods' recent display of his temper and dropping the F-bomb.
    3. If that is the reason, perhaps someone can pull David Bellavia aside and tell him about McCain's reportedly volcanic and mean temper.
  • Mark Seavey · 1 year ago
I was with David yesterday, you guys are WAY WAY WAY off. He was referring to role models, and while some look up to Tiger, his children will be brought up to honor military role models. I had lunch with him yesterday after this, when the thing broke, and he was flabbergasted. It was not a slam on Obama, on Tiger or anyone else.
  • karl · 1 year ago
Are you guys kidding me? I was there. Bellavia was saying that his kids will grow up to admire real heroes who serve their country and not sports figures who make millions of dollars. This has nothing to do with race. NOTHING. Furthermore, he was not comparing Tiger Woods to Obama. Why does everything have to be about race? I assure Bellavia is not a racist.
  • Grace · 1 year ago
Bellavia IS a racist, else he would have named any one of dozens of WHITE sports figures making millions of dollars. Being black in America and standing up to the pervasive bigotry of individuals such as yourself is so tiresome that even the great Tiger Woods does not wish to be identified as black. But ot course, I am sure that when YOU look at him, that is all YOU see.
  • RepublicansInDenial · 1 year ago
It's like comparing Santa to the Easter Bunny, right, karl? Bellavia was just saying that he admires true heroes and not mixed-race golfers who may be as skillful as certain mixed-race senators, which has NOTHING to do with racism or Santa Claus since Santa is REAL and there was absolutely nothing racist in Bellavia's audacious racism.

There's no denial here, no sirreeee....

    Who is kidding who?
  • MN2112 · 1 year ago
David Kurtz over at TPM dug a NY news report that this Bellavia guy is running for Congress. Apparently he wants to be Tom Reynolds' heir apparent.

What is wrong with people. This guy's statement truly proves that no matter what a person achieves in life, if your black, it doesn't mean the same. No matter what Obama does, he is first seen as a black man. And in this country, his race will always be seen as a negative.
The funniest thing on earth was when his wife made the statement that for the first time in her life she was proud of her country. Immediately the press jumped on that, insisting that inorder to be a true patriot is to love the US no matter what. And then McCain's wife made the statement that she has always been proud of this country. I guess so if you've been wealthy all of your life and have had everything handed to you, I'd be proud to.
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
David Bellavia needs to have his head examined. Gratuitous racial slurs from the McCain camp are going to drive the voters to Obama just as they were driven from Hillary to Obama. Obama's best strategy may be to let the McCain surrogates bury McCain themselves.
