AMERICAblog: McCain told reporter "he would hate to live in Milwaukee"

  • OlderButWiser · 1 year ago
Well, we'd all love for him to go back to AZ, now wouldn't we?
  • justadood · 1 year ago
nah....Arizonans don't really care for him all that much these days, either. Send him back to Panama, where he can scream, rage, froth at the mouth as much as he wants, and nobody will care. anywhere in the USA, and he might harm decent Americans, so send him out.....
  • scottinsf · 1 year ago
Are you calling me crazy or just McCain?
  • Mark in Florida · 1 year ago
Yes, we can coin a new phrase, instead of "ape shit" you can say,....Jeese, he's' going all "McCain" on my ass.....
  • Hurrycane · 1 year ago
Maybe he doesn't like the weather? I can sympathize with that...
  • dogsmycopilot · 1 year ago
I guess none of his 47 houses is in Milwaukee.
  • 1970cs · 1 year ago
He doesn't get along too well with his fellow gamblers either.

And he has two appearances in Wisconsin today.

Way to waste another day, Crazy Old Man.

Funny post at Gizmodo about that "Overhead Projector" McLame mentioned at the last debate.

I don't know about you guys, but something about that "my fellow prisoner's" comment still has my brain working. What a strange thing to say, if it were totally random. But what a chilling thing to say, it were subconscious....

Way to go, McSame. He says he's going to cut Medicaid before he goes to Florida, what's next? Saying he loves the Wolverines in Ohio?

Purging of the Voting rolls has begun! Blocking Voters Appear Illegal

Tens of thousands of eligible voters in at least six swing states have been removed from the rolls or have been blocked from registering in ways that appear to violate federal law, according to a review of state records and Social Security data by The New York Times.
The screening or trimming of voter registration lists in the six states — Colorado, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Nevada and North Carolina — could also result in problems at the polls on Election Day: people who have been removed from the rolls are likely to show up only to be challenged by political party officials or election workers, resulting in confusion, long lines and heated tempers.

In addition to the six swing states, three more states appear to be violating federal law. Alabama and Georgia seem to be improperly using Social Security information to screen registration applications from new voters. And Louisiana appears to have removed thousands of voters after the federal deadline for taking such action.

Tell voters to Check to make sure they are registered to vote at their voter registration office! The GOP is reducing the voter registration rolls.

Obama or the DNC will have to look into this and maybe file lawsuits. They definitely need the press to report on this. Right now many of the newly registered democratic voters are being kicked off the voter rolls in the battleground states.

Democrats Need to come up with a battle plan and action to defeat this threat.

I read somewhere that Obama was going to file a lawsuit against the GOP in Montana over this and the GOP backed down. Someone should have told that to John Kerry. Wasn't that what the leftover $15 million was for????

That just shows the differences, which are vast, between McCentury and I. I'd love to live in Milwaukee. Just think of all the fun nearby: weekends away in Door County, the marvelous melting pot of Madison, the Packers in Green Bay, and Russ Feingold as my senator??? Um, DUH! Who wouldn't?
  • AuntieNeoKawn · 1 year ago
DISCLAIMER: I live on the West Coast and was neither born nor raised in the Badger State. But I normally vacation in NorDor every year.
  • Mark in Florida · 1 year ago
I heart door county!!! I spent summers there too! I just love it. McCain hates that it's 45 minutes from Chicago, and everyone hates him in the region. McCain was not going to win WI anyway, now he really won't becaause I garantee you it is all over the news up there.
  • AuntieNeoKawn · 1 year ago
DC is the ONLY place in the country I'm willing to fly to for a visit. The last time we were there was a total blast. But now that air travel is such a pain, I don't think we'll be going back anytime soon.
  • ikonoklast · 1 year ago
    WTF?

Hey, McCain. As a Milwaukee resident let me just say that the feeling is mutual. We don't want to see your ugly mug around here, either.
  • 2008 · 1 year ago
I love it! He WOULD NOT fit in!
  • ProgressiveTroll · 1 year ago
I'd love to live there. Anywhere in Wisconsin really!
  • triple7s · 1 year ago
None of this gets into the MSM, how come. MSNBC is now the ALL BILL AYERS NETWORK, ALL the TIME. My GOD, Lester Holt just started to call OBAMA, OSAMA. This shit makes me crazy. I don't think any of it is by accident.
  • Mark in Florida · 1 year ago
Lester Holt is from Chicago, I am sure it was a slip up. I can't imagine Holt would believe this or do something like that knowingly.

Cause Arizona is a hub of culture and fashion? That's why Cindy takes pain killers.
  • ProgressiveTroll · 1 year ago
They don't even have roads there according to Cindy, since they have to take their private jet to get around. At least Wisconsin has roads.
  • justadood · 1 year ago
he must not drink beer (despite his wife owning a brewery). A Senator, he probably enjoys his 28-year-old Glenmorangie more.

Personally, I really enjoyed my last visit to Milwaukee....it's a decent place, with good restaurants, parks, people, brew-pubs (I'm one that loves good beer), and parties/festivals. I'd go back in a minute, economy and budget permitting.....
  • Apphouse50 · 1 year ago
    "I don't believe I'd-a said that."

This must be from the great minds that had him planning on "reducing Medicare and Medicaid to pay for health care." Brilliant. Keep up the good work, guys.

I had the displeasure of dating someone addicted to ambien and it really is a terrible drug. They couldnt sleep without it and often times would sleep 16 hours on it. There were times she'd lie in bed and beg me to go get her more, and id tell her to go get it herself, and she'd try to get up, and then fall back asleep. And there were definitely times she would talk in her sleep or try to get up and function while completely out of it. From my experience this is a pretty serious drug.

    haha wrong place, reposting.

I am originally from Wisonsin. And I have to say it is a beautiful, clean and very freindly city with a lot of culture. Milwaukee spends millions on cultural events, unprecedented per capita on education, the arts, etc. One of the top symphonies in the country. The first city in America that Architect Calatrava chose to build the most incredible modern art museum outside of New York city. It's a phenominal museum addition to ero serinans structure.

McCain is an uncultured asshole, who is absolutely clueless. I don't live there now because of the weather, but McCain is dead wrong on this. What a prick.
  • David_in_Toronto · 1 year ago
So this is actually pretty significant, particularly since McCain's biggest chance for a win is in the suburban areas north of Milwaukee.

I'm from Wisconsin, and proudly so. One of the few things I don't absolutely love about the state is the giant chip on its shoulder. The only time i see an ugly side to my peeps is when people perceive a slight. Molly Ringwald made an off the cut crack about us while filming in Wisconsin. People were so angry they protested until Molly stopped filming on location. When Wisconsin played in the Rosebowl we had to listen ad nauseam about whether or not Californians thought we were rubes. As an expat, people ask me if people look down on Wisconsin. It's insane, particularly since it's such a nice place to live.

Sorry to go on. Like other Wisconsinites, I do love it when we're in the news.

I'm extremely well-traveled with relatives all over the states and have lived abroad... not to mention in 6 states in different regions... you get the idea.

Well, I had the opportunity to spend time in Milwaukee in 2004 while volunteering for Kerry... I thought it was a great city--one of the best, most under-rated urban areas I'd been to in years! It's still affordable; right on the Great Lake with an amazing view; accessible via easy parking and light traffic; lots of parkland; snazzy restaurants; boasts an impressive new art museum on the shore; and very friendly citizens. What's not to like? It impressed me!

McCain would hate a place that's so friendly, unspoiled, and progressive!!
