AMERICAblog: McCain wants Americans to forget his association with George Bush and overlook the failing economy

  • grandma · 1 year ago
Palin today saying Obama pals around with terrorists.....

    Obama campaign response:

........... Senator Obama is not close to Bill Ayers, much less ‘pals,’ and that he has strongly condemned the despicable acts Ayers committed 40 years ago, when Obama was eight. What’s clear is that John McCain and Sarah Palin would rather spend their time tearing down Barack Obama than laying out a plan to build up our economy.

    http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/1008/McC...

They can't defend the incompetence of the past eight years....and they have no solutions now.....so all they can do is make up lies and slime and smear....

    What a mom that Palin

You'd be suprised how many people are still that stupid.

McCain has nothing left to lose in this campaign. He lost his honor, his credibility, and his mind and health. Coming out even dirtier is all he can do. He will be a sad footnote in history
  • Dave of the Jungle · 1 year ago
    Altogether pathetic.
  • An_American_Karol · 1 year ago
He could have been known as a great American statesman, but he chose to sell out. Sad, yes. Pathetic, absolutely.

    Obama campaign today:

"In fact, the very newspaper story Governor Palin cited in hurling her shameless attack made clear that Senator Obama is not close to Bill Ayers,"

She claimed she read a newspaper?!?!!

Everything and anything she claims is a lie.

You can always tell when Palin or McSame are lying: when they move their lips.
  • KarenMrsLloydRichards · 1 year ago
Claire? Hillary? Will one, both, of you please come out and eviscerate Palin on "the pallin' around with terrorists" shit?

McCain had direct relationships with communists in the late sixties and early seventies and even acted as a spokesperson for their cause.

And who can forget in great comments from presidential candidates the McCain comment: "I'm not an astronaut, but I know space." This in response to his government health care from birth to the present day as it relates to his position against universal health care, or bottom line "I've got mine, screw you."
  • An_American_Karol · 1 year ago
One of the hockey mom's interviewed by CNN made the statement, "if people want health care, let them go to work". The disconnect to reality is unbelievable. In her world, it really is quite easy.
  • BarrieT · 1 year ago
Perhaps he does know something about space, seeing as John Glenn was one of the Keating Five.

It will be a few weeks, I would guess, before money actually gets to desperate employers who need to meet a payroll or to contractors half way through a building project that needs more materials to finish, etc. So, unemployment roles will swell and bankruptcies will begin to multiply.

The economy will still be on the front pages and weigh down McCain like an anvil necklace. I think all Barry has to do is answer the mud slinging immediately and run commercials of McSame hugging Chimpy.
If you think McSame has a twitch now, let's look at it in two weeks. I just hope to god he lives through a losing election.

Sarah Palin keeps saying, "Dog gone it! WE want YOU to look forward instead of backward!" Uh, whenever I look forward I keep seeing this:

I hope the Obama camp remembers how Gwen Ifill allowed Sarah Palin to spew her talking points and revive her image instead of being a fair, but tough, moderator. Gwen Ifill was truly Gwen Awful and got successfully played by the Republicans. It doesn't take much to play a ref, like Ifill. She just proved what a craven opportunist she is. Then again, I've heard over and over again what great friends she and Condi Rice are, so I'm sure she still has tickets to ALL the Republican cocktail parties.

Republicans in the House of Representatives would NOT approve the $700 billion dollar bailout bill UNTIL $150 billion dollars of sweeteners were added to get Republicans to sign on. That sure says something about Republicans and who they represent. They wouldn't help approve a $700 billion but jumped right on the $850 billion dollars bill. Vote Republican and GET MORE OF THE $AME.

Unfortunately for McCain, Most of America isn't as stupid as Sarah Palin.
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
Oh, the Republicans are DEFINITELY trying to spread a lie that minorities are responsible for the housing credit crisis. Yes, they are now saying George "Dubya" Bush's and John Mc$ame's "Ownership Society" is all the poor black people's fault, and Obama by extension. What a pile of stinking turds they are!

That Diana West is spreading this lie on "Lou Dobbs" right now. Yea, John McCain wouldn't have claimed any credit if their "Ownership Society" had worked out? Right!!! West just used Bill Clinton's creation of talking points for McCain to back up her argument. Why doesn't Democrats just shove that Clinton crap right back in Republican's faces with the argument Clinton has been spending too much time vacationing with the Bu$h's up in Kennebunkport and shut their yaps up?

Sheinkopf got back at West by talking about deregulation being the problem, and making fun of her ridiculous assertion this is the fault of poor minorities. Republicans, like West, make me want to PUKE!
