AMERICAblog: McCain/Palin now lying in order to raise money

Mr. McCain, please think of the Country First.

On the same day the Republicans stooped lower than thought possible by showing a video of the 9/11 attacks, the death of a victim of those attacks was reported. A janitor who worked at the WTC and saved a man that day was not able to cope with the horrors of what he saw. He began drinking heavily and facing eviction from his apartment in NYC he committed suicide on Sunday.

The Republicans do not care about the victims of 9/11, rather they rile up their zealots who despise the 'East Coast elitists' who are overwhelmingly the victims and survivors of that day. They make me sick.

The corporate media has control of the media. But not the people.

Hell I'm Canadian, so I'm pretty much all of them, but in better health thanks to our fine socialized medicine (and with a much better slapshot too).
And now come on, "American hockey mom"? An oxymoron.

I just have to comment on the last few sentences of this post. Pat Buchanan, in the view of this Polish-Catholic American is a Nazi sympathizer. Yes, the Jewish community is correct. You see, as I understand his latest book, he advocates that WWII would have never hapened if Poland would have only given to the Nazis the alleged historic lands that were "theirs". I've got news for you Pat. The present day geographic-political boundries of the independant Republic of Poland are almost identical to the geographic-political boundries Poland had when it was first formed as a country in 966 AD. What's that, you say Pat? You didn't do your research? No Pat, I'm sure that someone of your "stature" knows this fact. Yes, I'm saying that the "lands" you think should have been given to Hitler is nothing less than Chamberlain-like appeasement. They are, from the beginning, historic Polish lands. Go figure...a republican right wing appeaser!

Maybe Pat would be happy if the British Isles were returned to Italy, the modern heir to Rome. Or, God forbid, the USA to the indians.
  • Upland_Oddball · 1 year ago
Pat, the Nazi fan, should be happy that Poland in 1938 had the borders it had then. At its peak, the joint Polish-Lithuanian monarchy controlled vast territories that now are part of the Baltic nations, Belarus, Ukraine, and pre-WWII Germany. According to his argument, that should be Polsih again. Even a Mexican-American can run with a foolish argument. LOL

Is this article saying she didn't support Buchanan?--news to me. He's been running with it. The title of his book is disgustingly provocative.

And do not forget, people of faith. Something you have no wisdom about.

Let's be fair. Technically, I don't think Palin accused the Obama/Biden campaign of anything in her e-mail. She wrote: "...the Obama/Biden Democrats have been vicious in their attacks directed toward me, my family and John McCain." Given some of the sordid speculation I've seen here and elsewhere (incest, etc.), some Democrats certainly have been "vicious."

I support Obama, and I think Palin is a dangerous woman, but I also think it's kind of a stretch to say she's "lying" here. She's lied plenty of other times, though; best to keep the focus there, IMHO.
  • tlsintx · 1 year ago
please. if she hadn't intended to accuse the Obama/Biden campaign of anything, she wouldn't have used their names like that.

Palin is a tool for the GOP. I hope that Hillary will show more class than her, well I know she will.
  • BuddhaBelly · 1 year ago
So was Pat Buchanan lyinf on National TV? Or is fundraising for someone not the same as supporting them?

U know now it's clear what the entire "Strategy" behind picking Palin was. McCain saw that he is losing his griunds as far as this election goes, so he takes a risk.

    1) He picks Sarah Palin, a woman, after fueling anger among Hillary supporters with his ads, thinking they will sell seeing that he picked a woman and Obama did not.

    2) He picked a woman with family issues, thinking that SOMEONE, at least ONE person from the Obama campaign will comment on it, and they would grab that opportunity saying "AWWW, that was so mean, and how could they criticize someone's family and relate that to the mother's ability to lead". But Obama is smart, none of that happened, he realized that this was just a bait for gaffes, and he did not take it.

Now, both their strategies have backfired. What r u gonna do with Ms. Palin now, McCain? You are stuck with her. Bad judgement again!!!
