AMERICAblog: McCain's definition of experience matches Bush's definition of experience. It would be four more years of the wrong kind of experience.

Dick Cheney has been the one behind all the power grabs and attacks on the Constitution and lies about wars and Big Oil running the show. He is old school militarism and imperialism and fascism at it's worst.

    Hang him around McWannaBe's neck.

I've always said that the most effective ad against McLame would be this. Have a narrator say, with a caption saying the same, "Did John McCain really say that?", and have video of McSame's greatest video bloopers, on Iraq and 100 years, on his houses, bombing Iran, full support for Bush and his policies and his officeholders, all his flip-flops, his know-nothing stance on the economy. Dems need to make McCain look as unprincipled as he really is.

Your absolutely right. This ad could stand alone without any altering.

fry1laurie: A great idea which I think would be accepted for use in a commercial by the Obama team. Please try their website to get it to them. I would only suggest one enhancement and that is to add the word incompetent after unprincipled.

The Denver Post's Web site said that federal authorities have scheduled a Tuesday news conference concerning an Aurora, Colo., traffic stop that may have disrupted an assassination attempt against Barack Obama.

The site gave this account from KUSA-TV:

Tharin Gartrell, 28, and another man were arrested Sunday on weapons charges after the traffic stop. Gartrell was arrested after police found two rifles, a high-powered scope and methamphetamine in his car.

At Gartrell's hotel, the second man was arrested.

A statement late Monday by U.S. Atty. Troy Eid gave no new details but said there "is no credible threat to the candidate."

EXPERIENCE of the right kind results in better skills and judgement. If these improvements in performance are not in evidence, the EXPERIENCE is BAD EXPERIENCE or the person is incapable of becoming better.

McCain's campaign reveals that he is the same as Bush and has simply transformed himself to get Republican support. Is that his experience?

For inadvertent hilarity, this can't be beat: Daddy Yankee appears with Grandaddy Yankee at a Latino-majority high school in Phoenix today. Do the Google for the footage. So bad even Malkin enraged!

I think it's been overlooked that McCain's experience is EXACTLY the same as Bush's.

Bush destroyed a number of companies before the republicans decided he would be best equipped to destroy our economy, our government and our global reputation.

McCain wrecked a number of fighter jets before he was given one to go to war in, which he also was unable to bring home intact. Now the republicans think he would be best equipped to pilot our already-foundering ship of state.

"The definition of Insanity is continuing to do the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."

Now we all know that no one in the democratic party will take the truth about McCain and share it with the morons on the right... because we all know the republicans would NEVER do such a thing if McCain were representing the Democratic party.

So right, and we need to play Jed's video (and fry1forlaurie's ad!!) as much as possible in Northern and Coastal Virginia, maybe also Florida.

I was brought up to believe that VA comes in second only to Calif on defense funding (seems to be supported here http://www.pbs.org/now/politics/defensemap.html but I might've missed one). There's also a little agency in Virginia. A lot of those folks might not dig this excellent blog, but they do take their work seriously. And among those, contempt for Rumsfeld, Feith, Cheney, etc is deservedly high!

The Obama campaign, and for that matter the American media, should examine McCain’s 5 1/2 years as a POW and how that would affect his fitness to make Presidential decisions. As a retired forensic psychiatric physician, I can tell you he almost certainly has symptoms of a chronic post-traumatic stress disorder which, in specific circumstances, could lead him to make impaired decisions, and that there is no conceivable way he could not still harbor residual reflexive tendencies to act out in ways which may not display well thought out and logical judgment. Contrary to the way it has been handled in the media, his POW experience, while certainly unfortunate and sympathetic, is NOT a good qualification for a President to have had! Would you think a child who had experienced 5 1/2 years of serious molestation would be better prepared to be a parent or spouse because of that experience? I think not.
And, since when, is getting yourself shot down and captured a laudable accomplishment? Did McCain not do something which might have avoided his being shot down and captured?
Much more noteworthy than McCain being out of touch with economic issues and not remembering how many houses he has are the definite signs he is displaying of incipient dementia, like when Leiberman had to correct his senior moment about Al Qaida. Imagine what another four years would do to his failing memory! He will be like his idol, Reagan, at least with displaying Alzheimer's.
Finally, is McCain Constitutionally qualified to be President if he was not born in the United States? Why was Alexander Hamilton not permitted to run for President? How about Arnold Schwarzenegger's ineligibility?

Absent the full McCain medical and military records we need to heed the doctor's assessment. Remember George W. Bush whose Texas ANG records went missing? History will repeat itself unless these hidden records are brought out of hiding BEFORE the election.

WANT MORE PAIN ????????VOTE Mc SAME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • ron071 · 1 year ago
The very best way to defeat McBush is to hang their records from their necks. The Bush/Cheney/Rove/McCain/Rummy, Gonzo/Libby/Brownie/Wolfie/Gramm crowd cannot survive a review of what they have done to this country. Their record is their demise. What have they done is what they would continue if they can frighten voters for the third time or if a close election allows for another theft in Florida or Ohio.

Dr. Mike Grin: Please do send your posting to some media and the Obama campaign. This MUST get out into the light. It' s too important to not be widely disseminated. Please send it out. So much depends upon this.
