I don't think I can take any more stories like this about abject greed from these corporate swine. Our citizens are going to suffer greatly as this economy crashes and these assholes in the GOP keep drinking champagne and hiring assholes like McCains lobbyists to advise him and keep this green money tree growing for themselves. I have greed fatigue.

At least Barack's "corporate swine", Jim Johnson, had the sense to exit left immediately. A class act from a brilliant guy. The latest rage is questioning whether Barack is actually a citizen of the US. His mother was a citizen, but may have not fulfilled the "living in the US" requirement at the time of birth because his father was a Kenyan. The citizenship laws were changed after his birth in Honolulu. Obama refuses to release his birth certificate. Probably because it lists his parent's religion as "Moslem".

If born in Honolulu, then one is an American citizen. "Born in Panama" means one is not. How will John McCain explain that one to Americans?

I can't believe we're discussing this b.s. but here goes: Obama was born after Hawaii became a state to an American mother. What's the problem here?

As much as I hate McCain, the nonsense about his citizenship is b.s. too: He was born to an American serviceman. Of course he's a citizen.

wouldn't it be just something if the GOPers could stick to touting the positive aspects of their candidate rather than constantly disparaging the opposing candidate?

The 'living in the US' requirement was for 6 months prior to birth.

PS: Gordon Liddy told me that on the radio this morning while I was waiting to buy $80 worth of gas for my truck (the one with the chain hooks we use to drag liberals thru town)...

I keep figuring I'll run into G Gordon in a leather bar somewhere... but I don't get out much.

and I never pay attention to who's in the sling with their ass in the air.

I was wondering when carly would raise her egomaniacal head again.

Well, mcsame just lost the vote of all HP employees (Oregon, California, Idaho, Texas... etc.). We all HATE the woman.

she thought she was a rockstar, seriously.

she makes my skin crawl when she's on the tube.

BTW... carly got MUCH more than $21 million from HP.

with stock options, secretarial service and products/product support... it came to more like $108 million.

John McCain's top economic adviser Carly Fiorina

WTF? Between her and Kim Jong Phil Gramm, he may as well hire Charles Keating.
I guess Ken Lay wasn't available, hiding out at the Bush ranch in Paraguay after faking his own death.

OT, but does anyone else find it strange how often an ad for John McCain or Newsmax appears on here? It's starting to make me paranoid. (Which is what they want, I guess...)
  • Chipmaker · 1 year ago
Fiorina so totally bollixed the HP buyout of Compaq -- a move many on the boards of both companies did not want -- that in some ways she set back women's progress at least a decade. And the merger NEVER got sorted out well -- the corporate cultures were vastly different and there was no real interest or leadership in finding common ground. Complete, wasteful mess.

She walked away loaded, though, so clearly McCain likes her style.
