    McCain up by ten.

We're effed. There are just too many stupid people in this country.

I have been seriously considering moving to Canada. But the problem with that is I really hate cold weather. Anyhow, I was watching Back to the Future III last night, and it got me to thinking that maybe I can go back in time and tell Lincoln to just let the South secede without a fight. Our whole country would have been better off.

You don't have to move to Canada. Cuba would be glad to have you right now. And, your health care would be just as free as it is in Canada.

sad. I hole there is just some weird bounce from the campaign and that once things settle down, and Palin's secrets spill...maybe people will get a clue.

I saw her on THREE tabloid covers at the grocery store today. on each one she was smiling like crazy Tom Delay in his booking photos while she held Trig. The headlines onthe covers were screaming "SECRETS and LIES"
"Baby SecretS and Investigations!" "What about Bristol?"

    WOW!

You know as awful as all this stuff is....McCain had a small bump from that pep rally convention. grrrrrrrr I really hope we have not reached a point where average Americans have fallen so far gone to the world of fear that we are willing to once again vote for them.

    We need Molly Ivins

You need laudanum..... just sayin... Obama has screwed the pooch. His true aspirations were outed by Investor's Business Daily last week; which is the attack dog paper for the WSJ.....

    Umm, no.

    Obama 301
    McCain 224
    Tie 13

The 'popular vote' merely keeps CNN and The View in business. It's always a proverbial coin toss.

I look at the eletoral vote also. It helps keep it in perspective. Thing is, all the repugs have to do is target a couple states by means of a wave of disinformation, voter fraud, etc...and they take it. Their goal is to keep it close enough to steal. God knows, the press will help fuel it.

Those are likey voters not registered voters. Registered voters, if believed (corporate media is calling the shots), than the race is very close.

These polls are made to mislead, period. By the middle or end of the week, it will probably be a tie again.

What I am concerned about is missing voter applications which appears to be disappearing.

The GOP has Palin running against Obama and have you noticed that they never say Palin can match Biden on the issues especially Foreign Policy, they are always running her against Obama. Maybe it should be Palin-McCain all the time because then maybe voters would pay attention to Sarah Palin and start to understand just how important this election is. If Palin-McCain is elected then the Evangelicals will control the White-House, something Bush promised but failed like all of his his other failures, Bush failed to come through for the Fundies.

That's right...and Obama knows to be careful not to take the bait.

He need not lower himself to her level.....

I remember Pierre Salinger saying he would move to France if GW Bush were elected......and move to France he did.

I truly think Obama will win.

On the wing nuts, they had their chance with Bushco, Darth Cheney and congress before 2006, and they never did anything. Take a moment and think about this. If Roe, et al is overturned than how would they be able to win another election? This is the GOPs tool is trying to win an election. I know its about gays too, but Roe, I believe is their platform and if they lose it than they lose a big part of their strenghts.
  • grandma · 1 year ago
I believe it's about Roe too.....unbelievable the number of people voting on that issue alone.
  • ClintonHater · 1 year ago
Oh I remember how idealistic I was when Kerry ran. I remember thinking, "How can anybody be so stupid to vote for Bush again after seeing what he did the past four years?" Well guess what people are that stupid.

I believe the Daily Mirror asked the same question:

It's questionable as to whether Bush won in 2004....given what happened in Ohio.
  • Joneses · 1 year ago
And another thing, the corporate media claimed that McCain speech ratings were higher than Obama's. Not true, the ratings were about the same.

The corporate media is pushing McCain any means necessary. GOP lies 24/7 - so does the corporate media.

Rest assure, the Obama camp have their own method of poll tracking. And what they see is an Obama win. The GOP knows this.
  • grandma · 1 year ago
The GOP knew a defeat was coming.

Thus the last minute reckless gamble on Palin.

    Country Last

I don't think the Polls mean all that much right now....not till after at least one debate.
  • Joneses · 1 year ago
They cheated in Ohio and Fl, no doubt about it.
