Notice she is a black, liberal, Democrat. How is it that these mysterious ailments always strike at Congressmen in those categories. I wouldn't put it past the revolting criminal, thugs in the White House or at least Republicans to be responsible. Maybe it is pure chance, but far too often we just can't prove they did it. It is just too often that it is so convenient for them. Maybe she was going to introduce some irrefutable evidence to force impeachment. Otherwise, maybe their lord and master in hell just happened to strike her down. I hope Maxine Waters always wears a bulletproof vest and her cross.
Perhaps I'm paranoid to the point of insanity. I just know that I put nothing beyond how far the far right and their henchman in the White House will go. Obama clearly thought that Rev. Wright and McCain were above cheating in the discussion forum at Saddleback Church and they submarined him.

Dwight Eisenhower warned us fifty years ago of the "military-industrial complex". There have been moments of hope since but those moments were eyeblinks. Someday this nation will have to wake up and stop electing people who rape and pillage to fill their own pockets. If November does not bring a change, that wake up day may never come. Some days I have such hope and other days I want to delete all blog bookmarks and just watch "Dancing with the Stars" and pull the covers over my head.

John, your comment is right on. The same insights came through in the NY Times article by David Kirkpatrick on Aug. 17. He quoted Gen. John H. Johns, a former friend and supporter of McCain who said: "He has the personality of a fighter pilot: when somebody stings you, you want to strike out.....Just like the American people, his reaction was: show me somebody to hit." Diplomacy seems never to be McCain's first thought--even when our army is depleted and we still have so much to accomplish in Afghanistan. Although McCain may not be a true neocon, his instincts are sufficiently parallel to those who pounded for war with Iraq long before 9/11, that I quaver to think of him as our President.

Come on. We're Americans second and human beings first. When there's real evil that needs to be fought, when there are real people suffering and being terrorized, it's part of our obligation as people to ensure that it ends. John McCain supported the invasion of Iraq, of course, which was the exact opposite -- it cost us nearly a million lives (of which only about four thousand actually matter, somehow), and WE were the evil attackers. There's a huge difference between saving someone in a war and starting a war. McCain wants the latter. We should all accept the former as part of our collective responsibility. It's why we even have the UN, isn't it?

Bravo! Your sentiments are exactly right on. It is only by chance that we are Americans. How can we put being American, white or even male, female, gay or straight ahead of being human. The genocide in Iraq is despicable.
There is another thing that puzzles me. Americans gloss over that Georgia savagely attacked Russia. Yes, Georgia is the underdog and Russia is our traditional enemies, and yes, the Russians have exacted far too heavy a toll in retribution, but neither side really holds the high ground. In fact, the US is a third party and also fails the standards of integrity since Bush, Rice and that cabal encouraged Georgia to think that we were militarily obligated to come to their aid in a war with Russia. Sigh! Meanwhile, 8,000 innocent Georgian civiliians were slaughtered in the first week of Russia's retribution.
There was a time when our leaders were front and center of our armies, but that was in the days of Alexander the Great, Julius Caesar or maybe even as recently as Charlemagne but now the leaders are wise old men protected far to rear well protected from any real danger of death from the violence and uncaring about the brutal slaughter. And, even in the days of Alexander the Great or Julius Caesar, many common soldiers sacrificed their lives to protect their leaders.

That used to work great when we turned our might against Native American Indians and countries too small and weak to stop us. It doesn't work now. We have to change. That is not being "defeatist". There is a story out there on the blogs that the MSM is not reporting on regarding a story that John McCain is telling that is possibly false while he was a POW -- the cross in the sand story. This story goes to credibility. Americans are tired of being lied to. After all we were lied into a war. We demand more from our politicians -- truth, honesty, integrity? Is that too much to ask from someone who would be leading our nation? After all do we like being lied to from our spouse, lover, children? I think not. This is the same kind of relationship. If there are any investigative journalists out there, they need to get to the truth or falsity of this story. Americans have the right to know the character and morals of the people they will be electing into office. We already know that McCain was not in the so-called "cone of silence" and therefore possibly had an unfair advantage.

It is not what America wants, but America does not trust our elected officials. America voted us out ofd Iraq in the 2006 id term elections and what did they gte, more war. Our system is broke, and the current slate of established characters in DC feeding at the trough of federal revenues is part of the problem. Thinking the very parties that back these folks will somehow change things is delusional and an execercise in futility and mist are beginning ti recognize this.
No one really know the solution, though only know cynicism and know when the see the same old shit the from the rah-rah robots that really believe in the us v. pplicitcs and that meaning and real differences exst between the currents dems and the repubs.
Obama or McCain, we will still be in Iraq in 2010 and the government will be reading all of our communications and listening to all of our calls more efficiently than they are today and still without warrants. DC will not blush.

Out of curiosity, why is a "Tough Guy" reassuring? The Essential and required response to WWII occurred only because WWII was an " Essential and Required" creation of the International Bankers, and the Wealthy Industrialists who profit massively from War. For instance, Adolf Hitler could never have come to power if he hadn't been financed by any Bankers. Prescott Bush was one of the major financial backers of Adolf Hitler as he was also connected to financing Benito Mussolini. As an American, I am in no way reassured in having a "Tough Guy" for the leader of this country. The perception that Americans and America need a "Tough Guy" to lead this country only comes from the PR or Main-Stream Propaganda that is perpetually sold to us on a daily basis in order to maintain the Mass American Mindset that America is a world leader and it is our job to Police the planet. As much as some of my neighbors around this country would prefer not to hear my opinion on the matter (because I'm a Communists...in their eyes, or a traitor, or whatever they want to think of me as, that "opinion" or thought was already implanted in their head by the Corporate Media from talking heads such as Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter) but the problem is not that many citizens would call me a Communist or a Liberal, but the truth lies in the fact that I am just a concerned citizen who cares about my country. I care about how my country represents itself to the world. And the United States of America has not represented itself to the world in a very good light in well over a hundred and fifty years. We have permanent military bases in over 130 countries around the world. The Koreans (South AND North) had been diligently working on the Sunshine Peace Agreement for quite a few years and were getting very close to reuniting as did East and West Germany, but do you know how much money is being spent on Military contracts maintaining the Demilitarized Zone between North and South Korea? Billions upon billions of dollars! The U.S. Military and the contractors who have these extremely SWEET no-bid contracts with the Military Industrial Complex, the Pentagon, the White House and the huge network of "friends and family" among the Illuminati, the World Elite, want to maintain their massive wealth and power of control over the mindset of the plebs. I saw my first John McCain bumper sticker yesterday for the first time and it still shocks me to see Bush/Cheney stickers on vehicles knowing full well what criminals this group of Corporate Elite really are, and I include Bill Clinton and Hillary in that line-up as well, because the American people have been sold the idea of this facade of a two-party system which is clearly NOT even that. It is the Elitist System maintained from much higher up than just starting at the White House, and unfortunately, the Extreme Religious Fundamentalist on the Right have been working diligently over the last forty years or so to undermine our Democracy, our freedom (of everything) and tearing our Constitution to shreds. John McCain is just another part of that Corporate Agenda. Why aren't Americans refusing to pay at least half of their income or labor tax? There are more and more people who are becoming aware that after researching the "Facts", that the 16th Amendment was NEVER leagally ratified. Instead of me going into a long explanation about this fact, please just look it up. Research it. And because the 16th Amendment is not legally constituted, it is therefore null and void. As well, the Internal Revenue Collection Corporation attached to the privately held Federal (it's actually not a Federal anything) Reserve Bank which was created in 1913 by a handful of extremely wealthy bankers, such as the Warburgs and Rothschilds and a few others. Did you know that if you ask the Internal Revenue Corporation to please send you a copy of the actual law stating that you have to pay an un-apportioned tax on your labor, the IRC will first ignore your request as they did mine. Then, if you continue to send requests for a copy of this alleged "law", they will then start to send you threatening letters and in many cases, you will be audited. Now you see, that is why I do not refer to the IRC as the IRS or the Internal Revenue "Service?). Excuse me...but "where" is this so-called "Service"? Oh, I know that they are servicing someone, but it's not the American people. Perhaps it's the International Bankers...i.e. the families of prominent name such as the Rothschilds, the Warburgs, the Bush's, well and all the other Elite who own and operate the Planet Earth. The Debt Scam: It is impossible to understand the global conspiracy unless we appreciate the background to the world money system. This is not taught in the schools and no smart-suited economist of correspondent on the television news will tell you the truth, either. Some of them don't know what is going on because they have been programmed to believe nonsense by the education system, while others simply don't want to know. The foundations of the manipulation toward a world government, army, bank and currency are built on the fantastic con trick we call the banking system. Once people understsnd the way this workds, it is easy to see how a few can control the lives of everyone else. The banks are given the power to 'create' money, by which they mean 'creating' non-existent money known as credit. This costs them nothing, but the moment this credit is brought into theoretical existence the banks ca start to charge interest on it. This is the system that controls everyone's life. But it goes further than that. When you take out a loan, the bank 'creates' credit for the size of the loan, say $40,000. If only in theory, that is 'new' money. But you are not going to pay back only $40,000, because you have to pay interest on that loan. The interest has not been 'created' by the bank, but it still has to be found from somewhere. So where? From the wealth and credit already circulating in the world. In this way, since this crazy banking system began, the real wealth of the planet has been sucked into the banking system as the interest paid on every loan to every person, business, and government. This has allowed them to lend even more non-existent money on the back of that and get the world even deeper into debt. The wealth and credit-loaning capacity they have accumulated is beyond comprehension, far more than that of the United States, the richest country in the world. In fact, they own the Unite States, as they own almost every other country in the world. The bankers have used this wealth and credit mountain to buy and control the global oil companies, multinationals of every kind, the media, the armament companies, the drug companies, the politicians, the political 'advisors', and virtually everything else they need to control the world. The same few people and families own the lot! They hide this truth behind the front organizations, the nexus of companies, and the puppet directors, and they are supported in their desire for secrecy by the pathetic media and the education system. The Rockefellers and Rothschilds alone control a fantastic network of banks, oil companies, multinational corporations, airlines, and scores of other organizations. The Rockefeller/Rothschild Chase Manhattan Bank has enough power by itself tostimulate aglobal financial panic. In 1955 the Chase merged with Chemical Bank which had already absorbed MAnufacturers Hanover. The concentration of power is incredible. But the true controllers of these empires are hidden form public view by frontmen, trusts, foundations, and companies. The Rockefellers' ability to hide the extent of their power is phenomenal. But with the Rothschilds it boarders on genius. Particularly since the second World War, they have sought to promote an image of a declining power operating outside of the big league. Nonesense. They are the big league along with other elements of the Global Elite. According to the NEw World Order researcher, Eustace Mullins, the Rothschilds use the code 'City' and 'First City' in North America to indicate banks under their influence form the City of London. He says these include First City Properties, First City Development Ltd, which are all headed by Samuel Belzberg. Mush of the coordination is communicated through Rothschild Inc., of Rockefeller Plaza, New York, according to Mullins. The Rothschilds also operate through a Canadian company known as PowerCorp which in turn connects with the Hollinger GRoup, the Canadian publishing empire owned by the elite Bilderberger, Conrad Black. The Hollinger Group controls a stream of publications worldwide, including the London-based Telegraph newspapers, and its international advisors are Henry Kissinger and Lord Carrington, chairman of the Bilderberg Group, former British cabinet minister, and cousin of the Rothschild family. (These two formed their own company, Kissinger Associates.) This covert interlinking of power in banking, politics, and the media allows the same few individuals to promote the same policy through a host of apparently unconnected instututions and organization. By controlling the creation of credit, the bankers can cause booms and busts, nationally and internationally, whenever they wish to further their ambitions. An economic depression is not caused by a collapse in the demand for goods and services. People do not decide that they no longer want jobs done or articles produced. An economic depression is caused when there are not enough pieces of paper and electronic 'money' in circulation to pay for those goods and services. And who controls the amount of money-credit in circulation? The banks. If they want to cause a depression for ulterior motives, as in pre-war Germany and the US, they take measures which reduce the amount of money in circulation. They reduce the number of loans they make and raise interest rates. This also reaps a colossal reward for the major (Global Elite) banks. People still have to pay the interest on loans taken out before the manufactured economic collapse and if they default, the banks take their property and increase by hundreds of thousands the number of farms, businesses, and homes they own. And with every payment of interest by those who continue to pay their loans during a depression, more money is being taken out of circulation and not recycled back into the economy, thus increasing the depression. This process of reducing the money in circulation and causing a depression can be seen all the time. The economists and their poodles, the politicians and economic correspondents, call all this part of the 'economic cycle'. Baloney. In the 1930's that terrible depression, in which men, women, and children starved in a world of plenty, was caused by the banks withdrawing money from circulation by refusing loans. It wasn't that people didn't wnat to eat; they simply could not afford to buy the food because money had been artificially taken out of circulation. I will leave if to an 'insider' to sum up the situation I have described. Robert H. Hemphill, a credit manager at the Federal Reserve Bank in Atlanta, said: "This is a staggering thought. We are completely dependent on the commercial banks. Someone has to borrow every dollar we have in circulation, cash or credit. If the banks create ample synthetic money we are prosperous, if not, we starve. We are absolutely without a permanent money system. When one gets a complete grasp of the picture, the tragic absurdity of our hopeless position is almost incredible, but there it is. It is the most important subject intelligent persons can investigate and reflect upon. It is so important that our present civilization may collapse, unless it becomes widely understood and the defects remedied very soon." There was no money, people were told, to build houses and feed the population. But suddenly, when it was time for the Global Elite's war, the money available to finance Hitler, Japan, and the war effort in the United States and Great Britain was limitless. People often say that there always seems to be money available to fight wars. Of course there is, because the bankers who control the world economic system want those wars. They do not want people well-housed with full bellies and a proper education because then they would be much harder to control. It was not the much-hyped 'New Deal' policies of Franklin Roosevelt which ended the 30's depression, it was the banks putting money back into circulation to finance the war they were creating, Here is a reality of life on Earth: There is no need for anyone to be cold, hungry, homeless or in poverty. All these things are caused by the lack of pieces of paper and electronic numbers called money circulating in the world and by the charging of interest on them. We could change that today if the desire was there. The world financial system and policies of boom and bust are controlled by just thirteen people - the members of the International Banking Commission in Geneva, Switzerland, which was set up by David Rockefeller on behalf of the Elite in 1972. The Commission is made up of two members each from the US Federal Reserve, the Bank of England, the central banks of Germany, France and Switzerland, and one member each from the Netherlands, Austria and Scandinavia. It has its own intelligence agency known as Four-I, the International Intelligence Information Institute. This banking Elite is controlled by families like the Rothschilds, Rockefellers (Rockenfelders), Bilts and Goldbergs. Connecting with the Commission is the Bank of International Settlments, also inSwitzerland, the country at the center of the Elite financial network. The BIS helps to coordinate the policies of the national central banks, like the United States Federal Reserve, the private banking cartel which decides the economic and interest rate poliicies of the United States, no matter what the puppet presidents and politicians think about it. The 'Fed' does not have board membership of the BIS, but it is the coordination that goes on unofficially that matters. The Federal Reserve sends representatives to all its meetings and subscribes to the shares of the BIS. Most people in America don't even realize the Federal Reserve is a private organization. they think (a) the government would not be stupid or corrupt enough to allow a private banking cartel to run the country (wrong!) or (b) that the word 'Federal' means that it must be part of the government (equally wrong). the term Federal is used for many Elite organizations in the US to give the illusion of government ownership. In the United Kingdom, we are sold the illusion that the Bank of England is nationalized and therefore under control of the government. The Bank of England is one of the focal points of the Elite financial network. It was controlled by the Rothschild Empire when it was an officially private bank, and it has continued to be controlled the Global Elite since it was nationalized by the post-war Labor Government and it became an unofficial private bank. Anyway, this McCain goofball and Ultra-Fascist is even more dangerous than George W. Bush and Bush is a pretty scary person. The point is, if we stop manipulating the politics and finances of other sovereign nations, leave them lone to work out their own policies and politics, create their own democracies, and stop occupying THEIR property, then maybe the world would be a safer place. We do not need "Tough Guys" in the White House. We need diplomats and real leaders with forward thinking not just about US interests, but forward thinking about the interests of all countries and peoples worldwide. None of the Main-Stream Corporate Selected "Presidential Candidates" of the "Two Party?) system are in any way viable, TRUE leaders who are actually ready to take this country forward into the future. Oh, they ARE ready and viable if they continue to tow the (sshhhhh...quietly please....) Corporate Party Line. And because the Main-Stream Media is really an absolutely controlled propaganda machine for the Elite's agenda, you will NEVER see an actual fair and balanced and unbiased look or reporting on the facts and the truth about the Candidates, the International Banking System, US Foreign Policy and the truth behind that, nor will you ever be prepared for the next program of the Elite's near future National and International Human Culling Program using the Militarized H5N1 Virus which should be coming to you soon. There was a time when our leaders were front and center of our armies, but that was in the days of Alexander the Great, Julius Caesar or maybe even as recently as Charlemagne but now the leaders are wise old men protected far to rear well protected from any real danger of death from the violence and uncaring about the brutal slaughter. And, even in the days of Alexander the Great or Julius Caesar, many common soldiers sacrificed their lives to protect their leaders.
That is not being "defeatist". That is recognizing reality.
