Without the support of the lobbyists, McCain wouldn't have nothing at all.

The Keatingist is the biggest k-street whore in Washington while getting "maverick" billing by his media fanboys

    Main line in the story...
McCain helped scuttle an earlier contract that would have gone to a competitor, Boeing Co.

What, Keeping Jobs in the US of A is not important?
How much did he get paid to screw over Boeing?

The real question involves how we get the word out to the electorate. The news stories simply do not get recycled as they would with a Democrat. We do not see the same kind of integrity attack as we saw against Gore for mythical indiscretions with the truth. We do not see stories pointing out the questionable ethics of being so closely tied to lobbyists who represent those contrary to your campaign positions.

OT--There is a great diary on DKos about how to talk with Republicans about voting for Obama. I have a husband and male co-worker friend who have always voted Republican, but who both believe the country needs Obama right now. I asked both of them about this argument and they agreed wholeheartedly. Worth reading.

    Connect the dots....

The background to the awarding of the contract to EADS lies at the very heart of the GOP corruption in Alabama that saw the political prosecution of former Alabama Democratic Governor Don Siegelman. The award of the Air Force contract to EADS-Northrop was the result of high-level collusion between Governor Bob Riley of Alabama, the White House, and John McCain. It also helped that two senior Bush administration officials, Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz and former Vice President Dick Cheney Chief of Staff I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby once served as highly-paid advisers for Northrop Grumman.

McCain's staff will soon be as thin as his hair.

This must just seem like status quo to John McCain. The Lobbyists run the entire government, so why should his campaign be any different? A really good point for the Democrats to stress! John McCain is so tainted and soiled by big business, he's actually convinced that he's the norm!
