When it comes to campaign funding, Hillary is the worst of the worst: "The tax returns released by Bill and Hillary Clinton late Friday reveal $15 million earned in a partnership with billionaire "supermarket czar" investor Ron Burkle and the sheik of Dubai, whose Arab state sparked controversy with a purchase giving it control of 22 American ports!"

Reporters can understand it, they are ignoring it by choice. I don't know if they fear the McCain temper or just love the old coot. Either way, this story will be buried and you can be sure the Bush "justice" dept. won't do anything.

Manwhore McCrazy is a Rethug--he'll get away with it. The 2 people left at the FEC are asleep, aren't they? And since he's exceeded the limits, Obama is under no obligation to keep his pledge since McCrazy has aleady violated it.

Besides, Obama is collecting a whole lot of money from individuals--something McCrazy can't compete with.

the traditional media is just plain lazy. as are traditional media consumers...

the wingers are going to have to find something to like about McNasty...there's a lot to ignore...

i'm hoping some new, young video journalist will stick a mic and a camera in McNasty's face, ask the questions and be prepared to duck when the punches start flying...

Wow! MSNBC is going nuts over Bill Clinton's statement today or yesterday. I guess he said something like when you are 60 years old and tired you forget things at 11:00pm. He in, in one statement, just eroded her 3am phone call ad and reminded voters she is old. As someone said, Hillary should NOT stand by her man.

I saw the same coverage on MSNBC. They are getting better and better. They had on the guys from Politico too. They are hitting the Clintons hard with the Bosnia scandal and also new revelations about funding discrepancies and questions about where they got their millions. Get some popcorn because this is going to be very entertaining! For once, the corrupt Clintons are not getting a pass from the media.

To put it simply, the difference between McCain and Obama is that Obama said he'd consider public financing and McCain used the public financing system to his benefit when things were down and then broke the law once some people donated to his campaign.

MSM is going crazy about Obama's comments about small towners. They say it makes him look an elitist. Hillary (no surprise there) and McCain have pounced on it. Obama, who has worked on the streets of Chicago, is not an elitist,
as far as I am concerned. I guess this would, unfortunately, play into Hillary's hands, and they must be glad that something is taking the focus away from Big Bills Bosnia blunder. I am sick of this long campaign.

The Obama-bashers are in hog's heaven tonite: they think they got proof that he's "uppity," just like his wife. Of course, the quote is grossly wrenched out of context...

Unfortunately that's what happens nowadays, in this "everything is filmed" youtube, digital cameras in every cell phone, age. The candidates are so scrutinized, and the campaign is so long, that any off-the-cuff remark can be a mistake that multiplies.

It's how they will use Obama's greatest strength -- his inspirational, heartfelt, and often unprepared speaking -- and turn it against him.

We say we don't want calculating, scripted, "control the image and the message" politicians, but then we punish any politicians who fails to be scripted.

What is really hurting the Democrats is the MSM. Until they find a way to bust up this propaganda the Democrats are going to be hurting.

Look, I agree that McCain is in violation of the very campaign finance laws he helped to create. Nevertheless, I will bet the entire farm that there will never even be any charges as a result of this, let alone any actual convictions. At the absolute worst, and I mean if the entire sky falls, the pope shits in the woods and the earth stops turning, there may be a somewhat strongly worded letter. But face it, even that possibility is exceedingly remote. You seem to be under the mistaken impression that the laws of the United States apply equally to all its citizens. Nothing could be farther from the truth. History shows that people like McCain, Bush, Cheney, et al. are well beyond the reach of any law that applies to common people. Ergo, while there may be criminal behavior here, there will never be a criminal record.

WhyTF is eveyone ignoring what McCain can really be busted on? The FEC? Well, duh! He and his associates are guilty of making false statements within the jurisdiction of the United States and that should stick. Go to www.libertytruth.org and click on "Old Codger's" blog, Decide for yourself.

Unless we keep forcing this issue to bubble up to the networks, McCain WILL get away with this.

The media will always play it easy with McCain unless forced to do otherwise. They are doing everything they can to help McCain get elected while we hurt ourselves with internecine nonsense, attacking each other in a ridiculous Clinton vs. Obama hatefest.

Hope everyone enjoys life under President McCain, because that's where we are headed.
