AMERICAblog: McCain's top adviser, Charlie Black sees "big advantage" if U.S. suffers another terror attack

  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
    Yeah, it's sick.

And, I'm not even sure it's correct.

That would make two major domestic terrorist attacks on George Bush's watch--how can anyone think those clowns can protect us?

But I think it would behoove Obama to consider Wes Clark or Jim Webb for Veep, with the thought that there will be SOME KIND OF October surprise.

If, god forbid, another terrorist attacks occurs. Its cause needs to be laid at the foot of gw bush and John McCain. Its their policies.

They're making the assumption that this country is going to run back into the arms of the republicans again if this supposed attack happens. Hate to burst their bubble but its not gonna happen again. People are onto their sick game.

The half of America who voted for Dubya because they thought he would be fun to enjoy a beer with, would run back so fast it would make your head spin. Believe it! Republicans know it.

Anyone care to re-argue Bush LIHOP or MIHOP, now that it is openly in the neocon playbook? "Conspiracy theory"? It ain't a theory any more. Thanks for the warning, Charlie, you dumbsh*t traitorous bastard.

Overreacting, am I? IMAGINE if any of Obama's people had said this. OK, I'll wait while you do that . . . Hm-hm-hm. Got it?

granted, this thinking is kinda sick... but its probably true.

if there were another attack in the US before November, more people would probably vote for mcsame out of fear.

... on the other hand, if there were another attack... wouldn't it prove chimpy's policies don't work?

what I'm worried about isn't really another attack... its the idea that chimpy will probably bomb Iran if Obama is elected, just to give him more crap to deal with.

he'll let mcsame bomb Iran on his own if he wins.

However, it isn't keeping me from voting for Obama. I've had it with facist dictators.

... on the other hand, if there were another attack... wouldn't it prove chimpy's policies don't work?

In a rational world, yes. But, as we saw in 2001, at the first sign of trouble, most Americans develop a serious case of emotional diarrhea and can't think clearly for several years -- some never regain the ability to think clearly.
  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago
true... fear caused people to vote for chimpy in 2004.

I'd think fear of 4-8 more years of chimpy policy would drive people to Obama.

The idea of Gramps in the White House fills me with terror.

gramps, who may or may not be showing the signs of early Alzheimer's, with a chip on his shoulder, his hand poised over the button, and the 'fuck it, I'm sick of your shit!' attitude that might drive him to actually press it.

its really sad when Tijuana has gas for $3.10/gallon... and cheaper prices
on everything from groceries to prescription drugs.

I just found out about gas prices in TJ... a 15 minute drive from my house, you can bet I'm going over the border once a week from now on. can't afford not to.

And this is a surprise or news to anyone? Not those who've kept up with the number and content of all the executive orders Bush has signed in the past 3 years.

I absolutely agree, clytemnestra. It's disgusting and repugnant, but not surprising in the least.

There's already been a terrorist attack since 9/11: the anthrax attacks, which President Bush called "a second wave of terrorist attacks upon our country."
  • jwhit · 1 year ago
Wasn't there also some incidents at the Mexican and Canadian Embassy in the US last year. I thought there was also an incident in NY near Times Square last year with someone on a bicycle.

Ya know, these are the same fools that every time a liberal has ventured the opinion that the Iraq war is not going well have started screaming that liberals WANT Americans to get killed and are guilty of treason and yadayadayada. . . .

Well, all I can say is IOKIYAR.

What is really infuriating are the number of Americans willing to buy the particular meme if America is attacked again then we need another Republican. Logically, another attack would indeed mean Republicans have FAILED miserably in keeping us safe, just as they have failed to capture Osama bin Laden and do a better job of containing the spread of Al-Qaida. The Republicans, via Bu$hco., have basically made Osama a "rock star" in the eyes of young muslims who resent American's presence in the middle east.

Half of America doesn't have the ability to critically analyze facts to determine we don't need "more of the same." I'm just hoping part of that half will be demoralized enough to stay home this time around. I hope one or two out of ten stop to consider just how DEAD WRONG they have been on just about every issue. Then again, it takes the memory of a gnat for one to think Republicans have been right about almost any issue.
