    Hagee has said that "the anti-christ will be a homosexual jew with fierce looks." That might be where some of this is coming from. It was on Huffington as reported by Max Bloomenthal yesterday with audio. They're trying to start this, "Obama is the anti-christ" thing now. It's so fucking pathetic.

    We need to get tough with the religious zealot nutcase churches. Fallwell, and so many others sit on their fat tax-free asses, and turn around and tell their congregations how to vote, when to call their senators and what to say. That is NOT spirtiual.

    They NEED to lose their free lunch. Churches that stay in the spiritual realm of life, fine they keep getting tax-free, but PACs disguised as churches, start following PAC laws, AND get taxed. Including the land, the property, the income, all of it.

    The wingnuts say the black churches do it, too. Sort of like the wingnut radio versus NPR. No, blacks are more discerning, for the most part on what is bullshit and what is not. No need for them to know who to vote for. No need preaching to the choir. But endlessly gullible white fundamentalist churches are true sheep. You tell the flock when to crap and who to vote for and that's what they will do. Actually, I don't even think real sheep will crap when you tell them but fundamentalists will. Check this out:

    Tom, I so agree. Endorsements and political activity such as the rightwing zealots have engaged in are just not included in the Constitution. And it's not just outright political speech; you have to know the code words as well.

    They're the ones who want a theocratic "christian" nation--which was anathema to the founders. I'd call them traitors myself, and political extremists who deserve nothing short of losing all that free money.

    Thank you John for doing this work. I have looked on these sites from time to time and find myself too outraged to deal with them on a civilized level. I'm not cut out to be a "troll" on their sites I guess! Seriously though, we all have a duty to search this out and expose it. It will only get worse I am afraid. I plan to contact my local TV stations and insist they not run racist or factually wrong political ads. I suggest we all hold them accountable.

    Ironic that McCain advocates the use of filters for internet access in schools and libraries, for the children, so they are not 'robbed of their innocence.'     My knowledge of Armageddon is sketchy at best (I was raised a Catholic, and they don't get into that stuff much) but wouldn't the emergence of the Anti-Christ be a good sign for them, meaning that the rapture is fast approaching? Since he presumably has to be in power to do his anti-christly thing, wouldn't it make sense (in their world) for these people to vote for Obama?

    Even as a non-believer, I know more about their holy book, then this bunch of self-proclaimed religious 'volk'. In discerning a charlatan/false prophet, just heed this piece of good advice attributed to Jesus, "You will know them by their fruits." Meaning look to what someone actually does, rather than what they say they do. With that in mind, just go through the litany of misdeeds & crimes of BushCo & then tell me who's the anti-Christ! If there were such a thing, he's been right under their noses for 8 yrs now! I'd say it's time for them to remove those 'planks from their own eyes', before they go pointing fingers at anyone else.
