AMERICAblog: McClellan: Bush should come clean about Plame leak. Lot of suspicion surrounding Cheney's involvement.

The Bush kitties had help crapping in America's sandbox...

In the 1880s, Joseph Pulitzer hung a sign in the newsroom of his paper, the New York World, which read: "The World has no friends." Russert, as the recent obsequies attest, had far too many.

Most of the time, I disagree with much of Alexander Cockburn writes about, (I prefer the work of his brother, Andrew) but I give him kudos in writing a piece that needed to written about Russert. I always thought that he had a serious case of Woodward disease, in which access was more important than objectivity. Russert's treatment of Cheney before the war, was pure sychophancy...

I realize that Russert should be RIP, and I don't want to bash someone who has been dead for a week, but some of the eulogizing on Russert is taking on mythic proportions..

Bush should come clean about a lot of things, but then there is the environment to consider.

The former White House press secretary suggested that Bush could do much to redeem his credibility on the Plame matter and his reasons for going to war in Iraq if he would embrace "openness and candor and then constantly strive to build trust across the aisle."

Yeah. Good luck with that, Scottie.

Ah, way too little, way too late. "Openess" for the Bush Administraton means reading and recording political enemies communications.

McClellan is stating stuff that has been known since day one of the Plame affair.

at least Scotty has stopped lying. Bushco never will.

"Our marriage started out on a tissue of lies." Cindy McCain

Watch her tell Jay Leno how she and John McCain are typical Republican political types. They lied to each other about their ages and only found out because it showed up on the marriage license. And she thinks that's funny!!

Bush should be satisfied with his legacy as the worst President in history as well as being the #1 recruiter for America-haters worldwide.

impeach and then prosecute - THAT IS THE ONLY SOLUTION

How do you think Russia, China, India and other countries feel when they learned that America and England's oil companies were offered no-bid contracts to extract Iraq's oil? It's a clear message that an illegal war was started for the sole purpose of controlling Iraq's oil - this game, I do believe, is far from over. Wait until the details come out regarding the extent of torture that has occurred.

America haters will continue to rise worldwide until these injustices are resolved.

How 'bout them Dems, eh? Giving the GOP everything they want on the FISA bill. Once can only come to one conclusion. There must be many Dems worried about indictment - why else would they cower to the minority?

Another GD hearing. Where is the results of all these hearings? What are they accomplishing? Nothing has been done about George Bush and Dick Cheney hijacking this country's constitution. Oh yeah, interesting to listen to McCellan but is he saying anything that wasn't obvious.

I am tired of hearings, I want some action. We have had big oil hearings and gas is at $4.00+ a gallon, had hearings on credit card companies and interest is sky high, had hearings on the mortgage fiasco and only Wall Street got some benefit.

Am I down on Congress, you bet. Hearing after hearing, a president that has committed impeachable offenses and runs free, hell even Tom DeLay that crook is still free. When is it going to end? When are we going to see something positive come from these hearings?

Why another hearing? I'm with the folks at After Downing Street which is we do not need another investigation. The only thing these crooks are going to understand is handcuffs. Unfortunately, the only way that is going to happen is if they go to one of the many countries that have already filed war crime charges against them. Other than that, we are screwed. I say we start distributing a deck of cards with all of their photos on them like our government did with Saddam's government. How to make a citizen arrest
