AMERICAblog: Meet the racist who showed John McCain is powerless and inept

    ACK!

    It's the church lady!
  • grandma · 1 year ago
    OT

I just read on MSNBC that Hillary wants a debate with Obama....without moderators...they would ask each other questions....

Just what does she want to bring up that hasn't been asked before.

She cannot be trusted. 21 debates is more than sufficient.
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
Won't happen grandma. Obama is too smart.

I don't believe McSame is powerless, hapless or incapable because of this lady. ( although I do believe his is all those things). I believe McSame loved the fact that he could utter words of disdain while the ad went forward. It was a win-win for him.
  • mr_ed · 1 year ago
McSame says: "Stop." Unsaid: "Wink, wink, nudge, nudge."

McCain is mastering double-speak. He "publicly wants" the ad removed, but behind close doors he's cheering her on. Plausible deniability of the GOP kind.

He "publicly wants" the ad removed, but behind close doors he's cheering her on. Plausible deniability of the GOP kind.

Doubtful. It makes him look weak.

If he had said, ``I am deeply saddened to learn that they are running this ad, but I cannot tell them how to run their campaign or inhibit their free speech,'' then maybe you'd have a point.

    But here's what he said:

“I’ll do everything in my power to make sure not only they stop it but that kind of leadership is rejected,” McCain said in an interview with CBS’s Early Show, adding that he has communicated his wishes “in every possible way.”

If all of his diplomatic efforts can't stop one of HIS OWN ALLIES from running a campaign ad FOR HIM, what does that say about his ability to negotiate with hostile countries? Or to line up allies for the wars that he would have to fight if he refused to negotiate with them?

Look, I'm not saying that most Republicans are racist, but most racist vote Republican.
After watching the video she still didn't answer the question... What does a gubernatorial candidate in NC have to do with Jeremiah Wright? I guess we have to just understand that bigots can't help themselves...
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
On target Motorcitybadboy. It's damned obvious where all of this is headed. Good for the country though. We need to smoke out the racism that lurkin'.
  • Nigel Elliott · 1 year ago
Baracky round two: Obama gives a fighting speech in Indiana today. He's upping the game and appealing to working class voters needs, without attacking Clinton and McCain. Nice!

I dug around and found this Nov. 2006 "Free (sic) Republic" site and it seems that Mr. & Mrs. Daves are not, frankly, loved:

    http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/174209...

If you can stand it, read comments like "Linda & Carson Daves rule with an iron fist..."
  • tlsintx · 1 year ago
McCaca is playing it both ways, but i bet it pisses him off for people to think the GOPers just blow him off...

a lot of them do! namely the limpballs faction...

    Look at that woman.

Bet her husband's had a few "wide stance redezvous."
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
I watched this video. The woman claims the two Democratic candidates running for office have nothing substantial to contribute to the political process. She was then asked how runnning a video of Wright tied into her premise!

She was asked in a word, "Wouldn't it make sense to run an ad that would give the people of NC hard facts that would back up her take on the two Democrats?" Again, she couldn't respond, even when reminded that Obama denouced the contoversial remarks time and time again.

She simply ran the ad to stir up racial emotions in the minds of North Carolinians. The amazing thing, it that it is so obvious!

Still, it's funny how McCain has higher standards for campaign ads than Hillary does.
  • WallyR · 1 year ago
If you watch the video of that nut Linda Davies at RawStory, you quickly see that she is using the same racist talking points as Billary. If you compare what she says, it almost mirrors the technique Hillary used when she photo-shopped Obama's skin color and enlarged his nose in a bigoted negative ad. These two witches are one in the same. http://www.americablog.com/2008/03/why-is-obama...

McCain is fuul of shit! He is saying one thing while knowing that his idiot folloers will bring out all the garbage they may have on Obama. This is not going to stop. The media is too dumb to call him on it so we are going to have to do it. This is standard operating procedure for the GOP. Good cop, bad cop.
  • WallyR · 1 year ago
"He (McCain) is saying one thing while knowing that his idiot folloers will bring out all the garbage they may have on Obama. This is not going to stop."

I'm not too worried about it. The GOP has already exhausted all the dirt it had against Obama. The Republicans wanted Hillary to be the nominee, so they avoided criticizing her for the last 8 months and instead focused 24/7 on Obama. I doubt they have any more dirty tricks left to attack him with.

I know this is a mean thing to say, but she is a freaky looking tool. Looks like one the bad characters out of a Star Trek episode.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
Linda Daves has responded to Jerry Meek's letter to the editor, casting stones in the glass house the NCGOP calls home.

Apparently, she's already forgotten about Coy Privette, David Almond, Joe Boylan and Michael Decker. It looks like we might soon be adding Patrick McHenry to that list of perverts and petty criminals.

Perv Privette was recently asked to resign by Daves. I guess she's just wiped him from her memory. Maybe we need to remind her that her boy, Coy, pleaded guilty to aiding and abetting prostitution....six counts of it at that! I'm sure the NCGOP was just happy it was sex with a women after all the closeted gay Republican sightings of late.

Speaking of GOP Pervs, what about Almond? The man strapped one on and chased his poor assistant around the room. This is one sick puppy.

Then there's Boylan. The report from another Republican - Debbie Clary - that Boylan was feeling up a young Democratic legislator has pretty much been dismissed since said legislator, Tricia Cotham, has opted to not file a complaint. If his actions weren't disgusting enough, his lies surrounding the event sure should be.

Of course, who could forget GOP chameleon Michael Decker?

Why Linda Daves, of course. It seems she's forgotten all about the gems of the NCGOP.

Repugs are and will always be the White Peoples Party. They will be extinct in about 20 years with the growing minority population.
  • MelindaRose · 1 year ago
OMG, check out DrudgeReport.com tonight. Billary surrogate Al Sharpton is threatening that all will break loose in NYC. He is playing out the exact scenario that Rush Limbaugh warned about. Once again, Shillary is making the Democrat Party look downright anti-American.
  • tyroii · 1 year ago
To claim that McCain is powerless, you have to assume that he really meant it. That's not at all a given. I suspect that the game plan is for him to remain above the fray while others do his dirty work against him,

Which is what the dittoheads playing the home game will assume.

After seeing the interview with Rev. Wright, does anyone really feel an association with this religious and thoughtful man is a negative? If more of us had a Rev. Wright in our lives, the world would be a better place.
  • GrahamCrackerDC · 1 year ago
There's no evidence that Linda Daves is a racist. However, the Reverend Wright is a foaming-at-the-mouth racist. Obama's association with him is fair game. Obama still has not explained why he sat in that church for 20 YEARS.
  • LCR · 1 year ago
GrahamCrackerDC, please name one specific comment that Rev. Wright made that was the least bit racist. JUST ONE COMMENT! I am so sick of the lies about Rev. Wright. He was a combat Marine who received a chest full of medals for his service to our country. We need to be more careful about insulting those who protect our very freedoms while we sit on our butts and take our comforts for granted. Rev. Wright is an American hero of the best kind. He is literally the reason we have the privelege to comment on Americablog in the first place.
  • MotorCityBadBoy · 1 year ago
What did Wright say that was racist? I think he said that Hillary doesn't know what it's like to grow up in America as a black man of a single parent household. I would argue that that's true. I'd bet you haven't watched the entire sermon have you? Once you do, (if you really want the facts and to see it for yourself) I'd think you'd agree that Wright isn't a crackpot... But I'm sure you won't, and you'll just keeping spouting off venom that isn't true... But I'm not here to call names, I just think people should be informed before they accuse people of something before they get all the facts. Here's the entire transcript from ABC news. http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/story?id=4719157&...

I think that when an ad is made using actual photographs and footage that it's hard to scream racism or sexism or any other "ism".
