Well, the Rush Limbaugh fans = Hillary supporters love to hear what Ferraro thinks...

But first, pay me back the money I spent to smear you.
  • jr · 1 year ago
this bitter old woman caused Mondale to lose but now the media thinks she's an expert
  • PeteWa · 1 year ago
"Ferraro resigned from her position on Clinton’s national finance committee in March after making comments suggesting Obama’s success is due to his being black."

"Ferraro wants Obama to pay Clinton’s debt"

Isn't it a little bit sexist of the racist Ferraro to expect a man to pick up Hillary's tab?
I thought Hillary was supposed to be a strong, independent woman, and could pay her own bills...
  • DaTruth · 1 year ago
An independent , workaholic ,hard working women , who cant pay her bills?.....

that does not sound right at all....
  • MeganDyke · 1 year ago
When Billary had Ferraro go on her racist rant, I knew I was done with the Clintons. Bill and Hillary conducted one of the most despicable, racist negative campaigns in history. These corrupt freaks have no more place in the Democratic Party and people need to let them know. God I hate the Clinton slime.
  • vkobaya · 1 year ago
Bill and Hillary conducted one of the most despicable, racist negative campaigns in history.

Not really. Wait until November and see if you still believe that. But even back in 1988, the Willie Horton campaign should have landed Bush Sr. in prision for such blatant, deliberate, malicious racism. Same with the governorship race in California when Tom Bradley ran for Governor. That was sick, sick, sick. No, Clintons at least were a bit subtle about it and the press could ignore it. Of course, the press also pretended there was nothing racist about the Willie Horton ads.

Frankly, I think that Obama probably will lose given that this nation is 75% white identified and most of them would rather be dead than have a N---- ruling over them. And, after he loses, I will be damn proud that at least, I voted for Obama and I will be very proud of those Americans who had the character, principle, integrity and honor to have supported Obama. And, if Obama does win, that was certainly go a very long, long way to rejecting 8 years of George Bush and repairing America's reputation and place as a moral leader of the nations of the world.
  • ZennButtKicker (tlhwraith) · 1 year ago
People have been writing Obama off from day one. I say lets see what the country is capable off, and what Obama is capable of. Remember, he's running against McCain, not his skin color. The stark contrasts between the two IMO is more than enough to overcome problems people have with a melanin enhanced POTUS.
  • grandma · 1 year ago
Exactly...who the hell cares what Ferraro thinks

She's a bitter old woman who will say anything to get attention.
  • tbhull · 1 year ago
Why doesn't Geralding loan Clinyton the money?

    What a cucking funt!
  • jimfromthefoothills · 1 year ago
so, rather than use our money to help elect obama or Democrats in local races, we should instead use it to pay shrillary money that she "loaned" herself to bash obama.

Hmmm... since Rush has always had a crush on her, how about asking dittoheads to retire her campaign debt?
  • aquarius2 · 1 year ago
Good idea! Let Limbaugh and Coulter have fundraisers for Clinton.
  • tbhull · 1 year ago
I heard recent bootleg X-rated video of Geraldine and Harriet Chirstian 69'in is out there, but not making that much money.
  • stranded · 1 year ago
You mean she wants that inadequate black male to help out Hillary? Affirmative action indeed.
  • DaTruth · 1 year ago
    heh indeed
  • aquarius2 · 1 year ago
Oh, has Hillary "really" left the campaign.? Shouldn't she be completely GONE before someone suggests paying off her debt? I mean anyone who STILL wants their name on the August ballot and wants to KEEP her delegates doesn't sound like she is GONE.

So what it amounts to is Obama's supporters will be paying off past debt AND current silent debt.
  • KarenMrsLloydRichards · 1 year ago
I'll put in in terms a New Yorker like Ms. Ferraro can understand: fuck huh an' huh "plan."
  • Crazy8 · 1 year ago
Just like a woman to run up a huge credit card debt and then expect a man to pay it. She stayed in this race long after the agreed upon number had been met. She was too far behind to win and yet she stayed in the race to the tune of $1,000,000.00 a day. She will never learn how to handle money if she doesn't account for her own actions. Let her pay her own way.
Geraldine Ferraro should shut her hole, she is an idiot.
  • FunMe · 1 year ago
Imagine what she would do to the federal budget.

She might even make bush look good.
  • vkobaya · 1 year ago
It is remarks like these that give justification to the feminists anger against men. From my own observations, neither sex has an exclusive on morality, nor on fiscal responsibility and the remarks about women drivers are way beyond the board. As for math skills, I have known a number of women who could do square roots of large numbers in their heads and one who could do cube roots. Never knew a single male that sort of math skills.

As for Hillary and Geraldine, they are asses, but don't blame that on their sex either, they are much like Bush and Cheney in that respect.
  • dciii · 1 year ago
I just came home from work and I just have to say, there is almost nothing that can bring me down today. What a great day to be an American.
  • tbhull · 1 year ago
Hillary's actions must have consequences, especially for her personally to the tune of $11 million because that is what all this was about. By the way, I do not think Obama can use current campaign money to pay off Clinton's debt without individual past donors it is ok or from new donations to the Hindenberg that is the Clinton campaign.
  • robsalk · 1 year ago
I find it amusing that Ferraro is considered a voice for "Reagan Democrats," when she made her name on a ticket that literally lost every Reagan Democrat that it was possible to lose!
  • Coming Undone · 1 year ago
Independent ,strong, resilient, intelligent and capable women don't take handouts.

Hillary has been taking bikes from children knowing that she had already lost, so if Geraldine wants to help Hillary pay off her debt I suggest she wax her legs on throw on a mini skirt with some thigh high boots.
  • RandallQuest · 1 year ago
I hope to hell that Obama doesn't give one cent to Billary or he will lose my support. The Clinton family proved they are corrupt to the bone and racist as hell. Those of us in the African-American community would pull our support of Obama in a second if he caved in to that despicable witch. People are outraged at how dirty and corrupt the Clintons have become. We don't want them to have anything to do with the Obama campaign. They are pure evil.
  • naschkatzehussein · 1 year ago
I am not African-American, but as a retiree, I think I have really given my best shot financially to Obama's campaign. It would be very painful at this point, but I would not be able to continue to support him or even to vote for the ticket with her on it. I can't remember now how many times Clinton, her spouse, and her campaign went beyond the pale. BTW, the AA community did an excellent job of emulating Senator Obama's restraint and dignity. You set the example for everyone else to follow.
  • mirth · 1 year ago
No, those in the African-American community will not pull their support from Obama if he should help with Clinton's campaign financial debt.
    But, nice try!
Say Hi to Rush for us.
  • ZennButtKicker (tlhwraith) · 1 year ago
Actually, he isn't that far off the mark here. I know a lot of black folks like me who would see it as a betrayal to give money to Clinton after what she has perceived to have done to the black community. In many circles, her actions have been viewed as effectively writing off the AA community in order to win. Wounds like that run deep and many people would be asking why Obama would help her pay back a debt she created. Remember, she has amassed one of the biggest war chests ever and its kind of tough to justify acting as her personal bailout organization now.

And I've never listened to Rush a day in my life.
  • mirth · 1 year ago
You sell AA very short to say they will not vote in the best interests of themselves and of the country over a relatively minor campaign decision to somehow assist with Hillary's debt. Like it? No, none of us would. Turn away from Obama over this issue? No, none of us would.
If you were more informed about Operation Chaos you would be aware that instigating unrest against Obama in the AA community is a central theme.

    But whatevah, Zenn.
  • ZennButtKicker (tlhwraith) · 1 year ago
Actually, my comments come from talking to a lot of my friends and family, who happen like me to be in the "AA" community. I think you are seriously underestimating the amount of ill-will Clinton has generated in the AA community. If anything, Obama has shown that it is possible to have a black POTUS and if nothing else a lot of people in the AA community are patient, patient enough to wait it out if he chooses someone that is felt to be probably the most divisive and demonizing part of the primary campaign.

Let's be absolutely clear on this, of course issues are the most important thing, but don't you think racism is a pretty big "issue" with black folks. How on earth do you think we would go along with a VP pick who has used such racist tactics AND has all but come out and say she was waiting for the assassination attempt on Obama?
  • mirth · 1 year ago
    What?

Of course racism is a big issue and not just within the AA community. I am anglo-saxon and I would not vote for an Obama/Clinton ticket.

The point raised above by Limbaugh's bud, RandallQuest, is not about Obama's VP choice but rather if he should in some way help to settle her campaign debt.

    Two entirely different issues.

Nice try scolding me, but next time get your facts straight. M'kay?
  • naschkatzehussein · 1 year ago
I cannot see one bit of difference between Geraldine Ferraro and Harriet Christian.
  • interlude · 1 year ago
when i saw Harriet's rant i immediately thought of Gerry!

    haha
  • lynchie · 1 year ago
Ferraro should organize a fund raiser for Hillary. Where are the 18 million supporters. Don't they somehow each feel compelled to drop a single $1 for Hillary's cause. I posted earlier that she is suspending not conceding and as such controls her delegates and super delegates. I heard a rumor, sorry can remember where, I am senile. but I heard she was going to ask for a floor vote on being the nominee and if losing that will try to force VP position.
  • FunMe · 1 year ago
    Cake sales could help.

Maybe they can have Girl Hillary cookie sales.

    A telethon?

Or maybe she can get buddy Ruppy Murdoch to bail her out.

So Geraldine is asking Barack to do HER job ??
The job she (and others) failed at
(that being getting Hillary enough money to compete) ??

Geraldine reminds me of my EX.
Now you know why she's my EX.
  • FunMe · 1 year ago
NOW we see why Mondale lost with her on the ticket.

Kinda similar to Gore losing having LIEberman as his running mate.

Please please please President Obama, chose a good VP.
    Thank You.
  • clytemnestra · 1 year ago
No, No, NO, and a Nader supporter reminded me that because of Hillary continuing to run AFTER she had no money, AFTER ANY OTHER candidate in the same position would have closed up shop - she ran, loans millions of dollars to herself, raked up huge bills which she couldn't pay then and can't pay now AND (and this is what the Nader supporter pointed out to me) because she continued to run long after she should have quit (because of her money troubles) she caused Obama's campaign to waste money fighting against her .. and there for she wasted MY money which should have been used differently.

How was she planning on paying those bills? The fiscal responsibility of her husband's administration and giving the nation a surplus has been blown away by the way she ran her campaign, the way she spent money.
  • Butch1 · 1 year ago
After putting her foot in her mouth, she ends with saying, that the Obama camp hasn't asked her to raise funds for them. Duh...... She needs to go into retirement after her last dog and pony racist statement show. The party's over. Please turn out the lights and close the door when you leave, Geraldine.
  • michaelvocino · 1 year ago
No one cares what Ferraro thinks? I bet Barack does or is that rhetoric about talking to everyone for progress....just that, rhetoric.? It's easy to tell that you were converted to the Democrats from your Republican past...you are really good at swiftboating...I don't understand why Barack hasn't disowned you...LOL...you are a major detriment to his success......
  • Deadalus · 1 year ago

I know that you think your non stop obsessive Clinton bashing has given you the right to speak for humanity and moved you up the pundit pole, however, you are wrong ..flat wrong about Geraldine. Many people who use to enjoy this blog until you choose to become the Bill O'Reilly of blogs, now see this as nothing more that a lower level of propaganda.
So enjoy fooling yourself. The Clintons are going away. You will have nothing to talk about. That is how limited you are as a writer. Your ovet bitterness can only take you so far.
So fuck you slime bucket and the whore you rode in on.because not everyone's world revolves around Obama.....It will be a sad day when he kicks your ass under the curb like the Clintons did.
  • John Aravosis · 1 year ago
Yes, our readers are very upset that we ended up on the side of the man who's going to be the next president. No better way to ostracize yourself. Whatever will we do?

  • KISSman · 1 year ago
That lady is insane. I hope she crawls back under that rock she's been hiding under for all these years.

What I want to know is why she expects a man to pay off all the woman's bills when she spends her money so frivolously. Traditional roles are OK as long as it benefits the woman, I guess. Hmmm....
  • Viceroy · 1 year ago
It is always a mistake to assume that one's own circle of acquaintances and those who share one's opinion is so inclusive as to include "everyone." It is the height of intellectual inmaturity and sophistry, and is unworthy of someone who is otherwise apparently educated. The fact of the matter is that quite a few people care what this former Democratic vice presidential nominee and pioneer for women's rights and empowerment thinks and believes. Scorning her because she happens to express an opinion or judgment that you do not share, speaks far more about you than it does about her - and it says childish, and it says ignorant, which is especially telling as such ignorance has to be deliberate. How about trying to figure out the basis of her fears, and the meaning of their expression in the totality of the situation? Then something might actually be learned. But I suppose that is just not as much fun as calling people names, which, of course, is okay if it is you are the one calling the cruel name, but "racism" or "homophobia" or some other horrible thing when someone responds in kind.. Do you really believe that this is the way to unite the Democratic Party, or to earn the respect of the American people? If so, you are wrong.
  • ZennButtKicker (tlhwraith) · 1 year ago
pardon my french but fuck her. I find it offensive that we are even entertaining her blatantly half-assed and racist statements as part of some larger discourse on feminism or equality. She is just mean and bitter and pissed off because she didn't have what it took to get the job done and her surrogate wasn't quite up to the job either, evem though her surrogate had ever imaginable advantage.. John had it right in saying she had a lot of nerve to imply Obama should do anything for Clinton but extend her the basic respect of a competant competitor who has lost. Paying back her debt would be a magnanimous gesture, but the REAL discussion should be how a supposed "leader" mismanaged one of the biggest war chests ever amassed in primary history. Why didn't anyone ask Ferraro THAT question?

As for Ferraro, she should be, as she is apparently is,banished to thev proverbial Siberia of obscurity and left there to fend for herself. Her pseudo-feminist-hiding-racist-attitude should have no place in a party supposedly about being advocates of equality.
  • Sage24 · 1 year ago
Ferraro is an old, disappointed woman. She was hoping that Hillary would accomplish what she could not. The problem is she attacked Obama for no logical reason, when trying to act like Hillary's attack dog. Not a great way to
    promote unity in the party.
  • JamesR · 1 year ago
Schadenfreude, again. Could this possibly be the same Geraldine Ferraro who, in an interview after her initial awful comments months ago, bitterly quipped how "lucky" - if I recall correctly - Obama would be if he were able to have her raise any money for him, because she is such a powerful fundraiser and power broker and all, so he'd better be nice to Hillary and make nice with her. It sure sounded kinda threatening, bitter, divisive, and of course so outrageous it got lost in the other outrageous things she had just said. But NOW - she "hasn't been asked" to fundraise!

    LOL. (ROFLWPMP.)

I have cleaned up, and am still laughing. Note to Gerry: Don't wait up for that call.

AND - better start cracking on Hill's debt, interest is calculated monthly.
  • DoctorJ · 1 year ago
To all of you Ferraro defenders, that woman is a racist and you know it (unless you've never actually listened to her). I don't cry racism lightly and have never thought it of any other Clinton surrogate. But at times Ferraro displayed it proudly, like a defiant old harpy in a housecoat standing on her stoop and shouting at the "coloreds" walking down the street that they'd better get out of her neighborhood right quick. She's a disgrace to women and to the Democratic party.

Joe, chill out. Your hostility is unbecoming. It is not unusual for a winning candidate to help retire the campaign debt of the loser. The fact that you posted this signals that you clearly do care what Ferraro says. If you really didn't care you would have ignored it.

The piece you referenced clearly says that Ferraro's comment was in response to a question about Clinton fundraisers. She was asked and she answered. Get over it.
