So when is the FBI going to arrest him? They finally got that other radical Hal Turner for threats, now it's time to get the rest of the people who advocate violence off the public airwaves and if it is warranted, behind bars.

The way he states his bile during his rants is just under the radar - indirectly - just ambiguous enough to fall under the definition of direct threats or directly inciting violence. Even though the listeners, including those not-so-bright, know exactly what he means.

Wackos like Savage want to be able to say all the crazy, baseless things they want without being held accountable. Media Matters simply keeps track of all the things that these people spout and exposes them for the vile beings that they are. No wonder they don't like it.

Again, during the Reagan era, there was deregulation of the airwaves and this crap started out as an opposite voice to what was perceived as a too liberal media. Well, this is what you get with unsupervised, special interest, entitled and immature people: they feel unrestrained. They stir up the masses and lose what they originally strived for--they hate for the sake of hate and no other message, no enlightenment--just bile and venality.

"Socialist" as in corporate welfare? Rush Limbaugh just compared the facist Nazis (ultra conservative) to socialists because it had 'Socialist' in the party name.
'Liberal' and 'socialist' no longer are bound together since the extremist right has dragged everything rightwards. And you would know that if you had been following this blog for the last few months instead of just stopping on this one post. There hasn't been any association between liberalism and socialism for almost 40 years unless you're a right wing sociopath who always assigns that correlation no matter what the facts are. There is no socialism being proposed. To do that would mean splitting the profits of these now publicly-supported companies with the public that's funding them. That's not happening.
Taxpayer dollars are being pumped into private companies, and the profits are staying privatized.
That's not socialism. That's still American-style Capitalism.
You troofers need a new angle. Calling everything "socialist" is getting very ineffective, especially when you aren't even using the term properly.

Prosecutor Patrick Fitgerald has taken legal action against a person within the past few days who threatened federal judges in Chicago in the same way that Savage has done against Media Matters. If Media Matters has anyone in Fitzgerald's north Illinois jurisdiction under threat, Savage could be at risk of prosecution, too -- or if any other savvy U.S. Attorneys follow Fitzgerald's lead.

Just like the rest of the flower-children who wanted to change the world. Once they "got theirs", they became exactly the type of people they ranted about in the first place. Once the social programs they strived to enact actually HELPED them over the wall before them, they pulled up the ladders behind them.
And now?
Hatred. Pure hatred.
Maybe if his relationship with Alan Ginsberg panned out, Michael wouldn't be such a douchebag right now.

I did not listen to Savage so I don't know if he called for violence, which certainly has not been advocated here, but this is the point I was trying to make the other day. If you are going to condemn Savage, and rightfully so, don't advocate putting up photos and info about those that attend a fund raiser with which you disagree.
They are not going to a Marilynn Musgrave rally. Yes, they are going to spend money with people that have betrayed us but threatening to out them still seems extreme to me. And I mean "out" as in being at the party, not being a closet homosexual.
