Excellent. Calling Obama to appoligize ....sheesh....does not even pass the laugh test. I hate feigned outrage...it's so disengenous. I hope Americans are smarter then this.

Palin team stocked with Bush veterans................ Jonathan Martin
    2 hours, 54 minutes ago

With Sarah Palin facing unrelenting press scrutiny and enjoying off-the-charts excitement from voters, John McCain’s campaign is quickly moving to augment her staff and put in place an infrastructure that can address the unexpected wave of interest.

    distraction.
  • curlytoes79 · 1 year ago
Good job, Michelle Obama's chief of staff. This country is facing way too many important problems, and "which politician got called a mean bad name and got his/her widdle feelings hurt" is not high on that list.
  • Polly_Tics · 1 year ago
This entire farce about Obama insulting Palin is nothing more than distraction, which IS the only way that McCain can win this election. Don't think they don't know this either and that is why we will see more of this sort of baseless attacks each and every single day until November 4th.

It's also maddening that WE, the infamous bloggers, are the only ones who are truly out there doing the proper attack against such slurs. Where the bloody heck is Obama and his people on this and every other "trick" McCain and Rove are playing? Why are WE the ones who are figuring out the right ads, the best images to use, and the best lines to combat this nonsense? WHY isn't the candidate doing this?

I have the sinking feeling that this is going to be another Kerry campaign and how terribly disappointing it is! And all the while being so sure that Obama had the testes to fight these cretins the tough and hard way they need to be fought...
  • Steve_in_CNJ · 1 year ago
obama doesn't want to believe that he's campaigning to lead a nation of imbeciles. mccain is an elitist who is not at all troubled by that prospect. doesn't that explain their approaches to campaigning?
  • Polly_Tics · 1 year ago
No not completely. I agree that Obama "wants" to campaign to the people we are and McCain to those who he believes we to be, BUT does that excuse Obama's folk for giving away what could and should be OUR win? I don't think so.

Should we have to campaign like this? No, but we are running against a criminally negligent group of power hungry cretins who will use whatever they can to maintain that grasp on that power. And when you are running against those who will use ANYTHING they can, we have to put up a damn fight!

I am losing interest in politics very quickly this week. This whole shithole has been turned into a junior high school recess on the playground with mean girls bitching at mean girls and boys chasing the sissies around to beat them up. Thanks, so much, Karl Rove for making my nation into a junior high school playground. Good job, Karl. I have twelve year old students who are more mature than this shit crowd.

    good job, Stephanie.

If it's the video clip I recall, taken at some old fogies veteran group like the the VFW or Am Legion, McCain was right there in the room and laughed when the woman said, "Now what do we do about the bitch?'.
  • KarenMrsLloydRichards · 1 year ago
"How do we beat the bitch?" That vicious woman is typical of the gated-community racists on Hilton Head Island, which is where that particular campaign stop occurred.

  • HereinDC · 1 year ago
    Thanks Steve
  • iWoman · 1 year ago
Looks like the McCain pig icon to me.
  • Polly_Tics · 1 year ago
Did you want the entire picture to show? Right now you only have the nose (mainly) and some of the eyes.

If so, you need to resize the photo within Disqus. I just tried it and I think it worked with that pix.

    This is childish.

Where is the clip/discussion on the economy?
  • CPL · 1 year ago
No One is going to call Michelle Obama a "bitch" and get away with it.

She is not only beautiful, she also works out and looks like she can break open a can of whip ass without even sweating out her hairstyle, and still look Jackie Kennedy-esque.
  • moreleesafer · 1 year ago
yes, she would do just that.
As a kid I remember Margaret Thatcher was in a building that was bombed...she came out without a hair out of place and cool as a cucumber.
I could see Michelle doing that. Slap Karls fat a$$ around, smooth her clothes out and walk out on to Ellen's stage dancing.

Sorry, didn't see your comment and put up a similar one.
  • LisaLV711 · 1 year ago
I just listened to one of McInSane's aids dare say that Obama needs to apologize for "attacking" Sad Sarah about the lipstick remark. Are they kidding me? After that sad little sack of shit stood up in front of thousands and millions of people at that so-called, makeshift convention and did nothing but attack Senator Obama and his credentials? Are you kidding me? Someone needs to take everyone of McPleasers and shake them until they you know whats fall off. They can throw a punch and not take one. She even went as far as all McLies and Sad Sarah have done is talked about the issues this country is facing. THEY CAN'T HELP BUT LIE, LIE AND MORE LIES. They really do think we are STUPID! And will be posting this on his so-called website.

i love the way Michelle's chief of staff asks where was McCain's righteous indignation was when his own backer called Hillary a bitch. All he did was laugh at that.

This quote from a Politico post misses something big:
"Republican Rep. Candice S. Miller says Barack Obama had only one shot at Palin-proofing the Democratic ticket — and he missed it when he passed over Hillary Rodham Clinton as his running mate."

Hillary is Palin-proofing this issue for the dems even now.
  • naschkatzehussein · 1 year ago
Just as an aside, is there anyone else besides me who thinks all the talk about Palin being a "hottie" is so over done? Michelle Obama has it all over her, and she has class. She doesn't have to dangle her mangoes in front of the world to get votes.
  • CPL · 1 year ago
She reminds me of the late Tammy Faye Bakker - before and indicating she was going to OD on mascara. It's only a matter of time before Sarah Palin catches up with Tammy Faye's tendency to put make up on with a shovel.

But, then again, that's how a pig would put lipstick on - by the trough-full.
