Older - good point, I left that one out. And (4) it was probably "their fault" that they were raped in the first place. To say that Palin is disusting is to be giving her credit. Someone referred to Palin in an earlier thread as "white trash" - I absolutely agree.

Is it any wonder that AK is first in the US with respect to rape and incest? FIRST. And what has this religious nutjob done about that? Does the "oil rebate" make up for that kind of loss? But, I guess anyone can buy votes, eh?

Throw in Troopergate here - Palin fired Monagen, or so she says, because he was in Washington lobbying for additional funding to support victims of rape. Of course we know Palin fired Monagen bc he wouldn't fire her x-brother-in-law (psychopathic megalomaniac that she is) - an impeachable offense.
Palin is a psychopath - a religious nutcase who borders on the insanity of WWII Nazis in Europe. I hope like hell she gets impeached in AK and drops from the radar forever - what a pathetic excuse for a human being. And I agree w.r.t. cash - give a rePIG money and he'll look the other way.

Not surprised. While I was there I read about some of the most horrific cases of child abuse/incest ever. One of the reasons people live that far out in the woods is so their kids can be "homeschooled". I won't go into details (it's lunch time I don't want to gross anyone out) but there was a case where the father had nothing but daughters and he and his wife lived out in a cabin in the middle of nowhere. There was some evidence that the mother had also given birth to a couple of sons who died mysteriously as babies. I guess daddy wasn't into boys, so infantacide was the only viable option. Anyway, the long term abuse was finally found out when one of the daughters (teenager by then) had the courage to tell someone when the family went into town for supplies.

Palin is a liar, plain and simple. The reason you make you make a victim pay for a rape kit is to (1) protect the rapist, (2) encourage non-reporting of the crime and (3) force the rape victim to have the rapist's child.
Palin is a sick religious nutcase - and a liar to boot. She is a disgrace to all Americans.

Its sad that Palin is in the camp that believes that if a woman is raped she's either lying about it or brought the rape on herself. What about Madeline Albright quote Sarah got off of her coffee cup about women helping other women? I guess there's a special place in hell for Sarah Palin.........

Hopefully when Obama wins the election Sarah will take her racist white trash Ellie Mae Clampett ass back to Alaska and get back to birthin babies like she's supposed to...that is after Alaska kicks her out of office. Guess Todd will have to go back to work too, back on "thuuu slope". They even give southern white trash a bad name.

That's another thing about being a Christian right Republican.
Besides the love of hate that comes from their church leaders like Hagee, Muthee, Dobson, Robertson, etc and their media like Fox, Clear Channel and Rush, Hannity, O'Reilly, Schlessinger, Savage, Beck and so many others... Where does all the self-loathing come from? Self loathing that leads to women like Palin who praises her Christian preacher while he hunts down other women and calls them Witches? Or charges women, constituents under her care for rape kits?
And why are there so many of these folks in positions of power within the Republican party?
Someone needs to explain this to me.

The only interest Palin has in women is herself. Haven't you ever met women like her? Their own self-absorption prevents them from having any empathy or identification with other women. That sort is rife in the reactionary element in this country. They cling to male power believing that it will rub off on them...they absorb that kind of thinking because they really can't think for themselves. Sorry, but someone has to say it. Look at women in cults, for instance, everyone of them is alike, a model of what "their men" want them to be, nothing less.
