Palin is the Clarence Thomas of VP picks. She was chosen to pander to the religious right knowing that if a white man with so little competence or qualifications had been picked they would be laughed off the stage.

The intended trap here is that folk are meant to say mean things to her, then Rove replied 'she has a vagina!' and other vagina-Americans (as Sam Bee calls them) vote for their sister.

Quayle and Dubya have been considered DILFs in their time.

Don't forget Ronald Reagan. The real decision maker in the White House was Nancy ... that is if you don't count that she wouldn't allow any decisions to be made without consulting her astrologer. Thus the astrologer may have been the true president of this nation during the Reagan presidency. Neither Ron, nor Nancy had the intelligence to discredit astrology.

The Rethuglicans have the talent to take a lightweight, unqualified, unsuitable person, and make him/her look like something he/she is not. Bush was an empty suit, with absolutely no achievements to boast about, and absolutely incompetent to begin with, and fooled the American people into voting for him, not once but twice, using fear as a tactic too. Look at the mess we are right now.

Voting for McCain, is continuation of the mess.

The Rethuglicans are now taking a lightweight once again, who was a mayor of a little city, and no clue what a VP does, and making much ado about nothing. They simply cannot get it.

For all of you who do not have PTA on your resume, you would not know how to recover from the unfortunate Hillary boo incident. As a proud members of Presidential Tergiversates of America (PTA), Sarah and John have mastered the art of co-opting the change message, and asking America for a do-over.

Neocons call her the lastest putty in their hands.
  • DeppFan · 1 year ago
    Make that "latest".
  • fl79tr · 1 year ago
Hey, I'm all for it being the "lastest"
  • fl79tr · 1 year ago
I just want to get this off my chest because I keep hearing the r-wingers making the absurd statement that she has more experience than Obama. Comparing her gvt experience to Obama's is like comparing the time served by a shift manager at a greasy spoon nobody's ever herd of to the CEO of well known multinational, multibillion dollar corporation. That's all I'm saying.

Hey, you don't need foreign policy experience to be president! What foreign wars did George Washington fight, huh? What international alliances did HE have to deal with? What kind of "leadership" experience did he even have before becoming President? ::sigh::

    Did she really write 'résumé'?

It's 'resumé'; no accent on the first 'e'.

    Anyway, she's a dolt.
  • trood · 1 year ago
I'm not a MoDo fan after all her Gore-bashing, and I agree she's kind of a dolt, but you are wrong about the accents aigus.

Resume/résumé/resumé comes from the French résumé, past participle of résumer, to summarize, from Latin resumere (“‘to take back’”). All three spellings are acceptable variants in English, but in French both accents are used.
