The Clinton campaign has become very, very petty. Meanwhile, crime is increasing, oil will probably stay over $125/bbl and climb even more, we're still in Iraq, costing lives and even more borrowing, the victims of Katrina have never been made whole, terrorism itself doesn't even seem to be an issue (at least in the US), jobs are still disappearing--and Bush is poised to veto the farm bill, the "foreclosure" bill and the Iraq spending bill (containing so many amendments it was sure to fail his signature).

Meanwhile, McCrazy continues to get away with his continuation of Bush policies so prominent in his campaign--only Obama has made any references to McCrazy in this respect.

Time for Obama to take off the gloves vis a vis McCrazy, and just ignore the Clintons, and continue to relate his vision for change, for getting this country back on its feet.

Here's what we'll hear: " I won by the biggest margin in the entire primary season. And where was the flood of superdelegates? the supers know I'm right and are willing to wait....." yada yada

    Ugh.

    Good morning

Can't get my doggie out in the rain either....unless I put his leash on and practically drag him out and then we both end up soaked...lol

NY Times article this morning that Missouri is considering an amendment sponsored by State Representative Stanley Cox, a Republican from Sedalia, that would require proof of citizenship:

Measures requiring proof of citizenship raise the bar because they offer fewer options for documentation. In most cases, aspiring voters would have to produce an original birth certificate, naturalization papers or a passport.

The Missouri secretary of state, Robin Carnahan, a Democrat who opposes the measure, estimated that it could disenfranchise up to 240,000 registered voters who would be unable to prove their citizenship.

Critics say that when this level of documentation is applied to voting, it becomes more difficult for the poor, disabled, elderly and minorities to participate in the political process.

    Meanwhile, China suffers tremendous earthquake:

Note that this province is also the site of the huge Three Gorges Dam.

I'm going to try to research the history of this area for past earthquake activity.

Ah, Andrea Mitchell. Who gets fed this line of "somber" Hillary camp before each and every election. And she duly acts as stenographer and reports it to us. Every single blessed election.

HIllary's not dropping out this week, unless 75 superdelegates want to end it. Do you see that level of courage manifesting itself anytime soon?

    I think not.

She SHOULD take the opportunity of a win in West Virginia to go out on a high note with dignity.

And where was the flood of superdelegates?
    here's the flood

if hillary get the poplar vote in west viginia and the other state tuesday she will ask for donations and will make the case that she is still the best canidate. obama has to get at least half the vote in both states in order to put this race to a halt. she will stop at nothing.
off topic: i also mentioned a long time ago that the supreme court would approve the indiania vote id law. the way around this is to make sure that you register over 3 or 4 million more voters that will not be able to vote and make sure that republican voters have their id's. this has to affect millions of older republican voters. check their freaking id's.

oops, i am on my second cup of coffee now and am starting to wake up. the previous comments had several mistakes in the body. sorry. the point was to register millions of new voters so the supreme court decision does not affect the democrates winning the white house. so start registering as many new voters as possible. make sure they have id's. also get the dems to start bring voters to state offices to get their id's. that is the least that a party can do.

It's raining sheets and buckets in NYC.

    1billinnj2,
If Hillary gets the popular vote in West Virginia and wherever else, she'll say it's a mandate to continue to Denver. Actually, whatever the outcome, she'll say she's winning. Sigh.

Why should Sen. Clinton drop out? She'll wait at least until the 31st. to see what happens with MI & FL. I'm a big Obama backer, but Clinton stop before then? I just don't see it happening.

    DNC #:
    202-863-8000

I called last week and left message for Dean to get HILLBot OUT of the way. She lost months ago and she's destroying the party.
  • Ginger_FL · 1 year ago
Even if Hillbot managed to get some delegates from FL & MI, she still LOSES !

She has absolutely no way of "winning" unless she pulls off some serious backroom crap that would tear the party in pieces for sure.
I will never vote for her and I was an Edwards supporter !!

    Good morning!

My dog loves to go out in the rain. She gets to wear her bright yellow raincoat with a hood, run around the neighborhood checking for fresh scents, and when she gets back into the house, she gets a thorough rub down with great big bath towels. How good can life get?

The trouble now is that there are wildfires raging on the Space Coast and I-95 is closed. We haven't had rain in Orlando for 35 days. The rainy season doesn't start until the 1st of June so we have a couple more weeks of dry dry dry.

Its a quiet day. A perfect opportunity to contemplate the question, why is Cokie Roberts a media star?
  • hawkseye · 1 year ago
I thought Mitchell said that Hillary WILL get out this week according to her supporters.
Maybe it was just wishful hearing on my part.
Anyway, campaign costs are at a million dollars per day or more, so I can't see why she would want to continue unless she is totally nuts---or, more nuts than we thought.

It's not so much that MI & FL will get Clinton a win, or put her over the top, it's that she might see it as an indication that the Dem. "leadership" feels she is more electable, and this is their green-light for her to keep fighting for the nomination.
