Nothing further from my mind than "Cinco de Mayo" quite frankly.
Like US strikes on Iran, the deteriorating quality of life in the US, oil speculators, and getting the hell out of Iraq.
Pandering on a scheme that McCrazy first proposed, Clinton hasn't a clue about oil.

I just saw a poll on one of the morning shows, showing Pinnochio with a 6 point lead in Indiana. It always surprises me, that despite all the lies, the attacks on her fellow democrat, her thuggish tactics, the vote for the Iraq war, and reckless statements about obliterating Iran (which reminds us of Bush's cowboy politics), and the damage to the party that Pinnochio keeps causing, that we have a large section of Democrats, willing to vote for a candidate, whose tactics are so unlike what the party believes in. What is wrong with our American people? Shouldn't they have got it by now?

Clinton is running ads in NC that talks about her federal oil tax relief scheme and refers to it as an "old style policy."
That was enough to put me off it. I want something NEW, innovative, honest. Why pay people to waste gas anyway?

Good morning
I hope we don't hear anymore of Rev Wright this week from the media.
And I see CNN has added Fran Townsend as a political contributor......sheesh....another right wing air head

Another gaffe from the incompetent Clinton campaign (okay, what they lack in competence, they make up for it by being nasty), a flier attacking Obama, which panders to the NRA, has the picture of the wrong gun.
Majority approve of the way Obama handled the Wright situation, and also say the press overplayed it. Can we now put it behind it, and talk about real issues?
"More people have voted for me,'' Clinton said of the long-contested Democratic primary season - reminded by Roberts that that count includes Michigan and Florida. "Those were real votes,'' Clinton replied. "The delegates haven't been decided. (But) the people have voted, that's a fact.''
A beer a day keeps big business in business. How an obscure military victory over the French army at Pueblo on the 5th of May, 1862 became a drinking-day for thirsty USAians is a mystery worthy of a FOX detective series but seriously . . . there's trouble afoot and it's name is Authoritarianism. Would it be too much to invite the public to decline the Big Business invitation to spend more on beer and get drunk to celebrate an obscure military victory? If that's what we're all about, then forget the primaries, Fort Ticonderoga Day is coming up . . . eventually, crack out that warm beer and drink, drink, drink ithe issues away.

"What is wrong with our American people? Shouldn't they have got it by now?"
The mistake is to assume that something IS wrong with the American people. Let them vote. Let them decide. Don't assume that somehow YOU know the answer and other people don't.

Yes, Indigo, just another heavily marketed beer drinking day. Screw it--there are more important things to do today.

Graham Cracker, yes, ultimately, the American people will decide, but unfortunately, after the last couple of elections, I do not have the confidence, they will do the right thing. The fact that we have been cursed with Bush for the past eight years, shows that they do not know better either. At least I know that I voted for the right candidate these last two elections, and we would NOT be in the mess we are in today, if they had the wisdom to look over sighs and windsurfing, and most importantly, we would not be responsible for the deaths of nearly a miilion people in Iraq, which has cost us American lives and money.

What do you think, after your recent posturing about Hilary's comments on Iran and nuclear defence of Israel, of M. Obama's statements on Meet the Press where he said he absolutely agrees with her.

Visit a locally-owned Mexican restaurant or taqueria today.
Oh, and call your friends and relatives in IN & NC. Make sure they know the Queen of Pandering is at it again... rather, still...
Sage, you are so right. The people are distracted. Bread and circuses, right? Only now the bread's gone up 30% and no one can afford the gas it takes to drive to the circus. Good thing Mr. & Mrs. America can still order Dominos and watch Dancing With The Stars. Who cares if their civil liberties are receding in the rear-view mirror?

The Today show had both candidates on briefly this morning. Meredith Viera point blank asked HIllary about calling the economists "elistist" and asked Clinton if this means she would not seek their advice if elected. Interesting to watch Clinton squirm. Viera also forced Clinton to answer questions instead of letting her side step.
Matt Lauer interviewed Obama and once again right at the very first brought up Wright and phrased it to ask something along the lines of how this affects Obama;s judgement. Obama answered the question and smoothly moved on to "we should be talking about the issues" The one thing I could not figure out is why Obama, 3 times, addressed Lauer as Tim. Lauer brought it up and both laughed but it was strange.

Question--Does anyone think that the powers that control the spell check on here will QUIT underlining the word Obama if Obama should become the nominee? Wouldn't you think by now that the spell checker would recognize the word Obama as a legitimate word. It is driving me crazy. Ya think that IF Obama were president it would change?

I don't think it matters a great deal if Clinton wins or loses either state, she has said she is going to convention and I think she means it. Others think she would drop out if she lost IN and/or NC, I just don't see this woman leaving before the convention.

Whatsoever Ive feared has come to life Whatsoever Ive fought off became my life Just when everyday seemed to greet me with a smile Sunspots have faded And now Im doing time Cause I fell on black days
Whomsoever Ive cured Ive sickened now Whomsoever Ive cradled Ive put you down Im a search light soul they say But I cant see it in the night Im only faking when I get it right Cause I fell on black days How would I know That this could be my fate

This is the only place where I am reading that Clinton must win both contests decisively in order to continue.
The other bloggers whose material I read and the MSM sources I read and watch all seem to hovering around a consensus that Indiana is critically important to both campaigns, and that all Clinton needs to do in NI is significantly narrow the 20 point lead Obama held in there until recently.

Seems to me that the time to quit is when one or the other has enough delates to be appointed the Democratic Nominee. Why would anyone quit until the other person wins? I can't think of any reason to quit until one loses.
