AMERICAblog: Monday Morning Open Thread

Have you seen Bush being interviewed? He's leaning on his elbow while talking. One would think he was lazy.
(But he sure found time to ride his bike while over there)

Here is a good Obama ad, that shows McCain is the celebrity in Washington D.C.

Finally! A hard punch back! Love the cheesy 70s talk show/game show music behind the images!

I keep waiting to see a thread on Russia's attack on Georgia. These folks are supporters of the USA, potential NATO members, and no comment here?
  • lynchie · 1 year ago
Where are the comments from your President?
  • CDS2 · 1 year ago
You must not live in the USA ? Our President has already made a statement about this invasion by Russia, along with just about every other blog and media outlet.

NBC covers the Olympics like they cover John McCains history of marital infidelity.

All the gaga over the opening ceremony at the Olympics and now we learn that much of it was computer generated including the runner.

    http://sports.yahoo.com/olympics/beijing/blog/f...

e faked fireworks were actually set-off at the stadium, but because of potential dangers in filming the display live from a helicopter, viewers at home were shown a pre-recorded, computer-generated shot. It sounds dishonest, but I'm not sure it's such a terrible thing.

The Opening Ceremony is, at its core, just one big performance. And isn't it accepted that some things might not be legit at a performance? The final torch bearer wasn't actually running around the top of the stadium, does the fact that everyone could figure that out make it any less impressive? It might have been unnecessarily deceptive, but the firework-faking isn't really that big of a deal. But, if I found out that the lighted-drum thing wasn't on the up and up, then we'll have problems.

How come NBC didn't tell us this. I like some of the competition but NBC is it's usual Bob Costas know it all crap.

No offense but I'm beginning to suspect that among some, ceaseless rapture over the Communist Beijing Olympics makes ya butch, just like Bush. . . or is just an interest in those snug ultra-swim swim suits?

According to Mrs. Nichols on ABC this morning, the Clinton campaign is now blaming John Edwards for her loss in the primaries: if that lying scumbag had had the moral fiber to drop out before Iowa, she would have won that state, Obama (that uppity upstart) would have been put in his proper place at the starting gate, and she would have won what was rightfully hers (all this from Howard Wolfson).

Howard Wolfson, in another failure to accept any responsibility for his own failures. Every Edwards supporter I know became an Obama supporter the day that Edwards withdrew. Not only are they vilifying Edwards, they diminish our nominee in the process...brilliant strategy.
