Uhm, we in NC don't have open primaries.........is the sample is from the R's who turned out to vote in THEIR primary?
===========
Yeah, I thought that R sample was from Indiana.
Hi all.. :)
Ah, new generation voters!
So great not to have to chase after the Reagan Dems, who are never coming back anyway.
http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/primaries/resu...
You can check all county numbers at that link. Southcentral NC is suprising me with their numbers. I'm actually getting giddy over here! :)
Bye, bye Clintons, Carvile and McAuliffe.
Tossers!
Go Go Bama
i feel certain more R's crossed over to vote for Obama because they are sick of limpballs and trash politics as usual. even the R's want change and there's nothing changing in the GOP.
(I've driven I-65 my whole life and I've found that bascially to be true.)
OK, then, let's hope the margin in NC stays as wide as the Gulf of Mexico, and he narrows her lead in IN.

Why did Obama concede Indiana?
I'm hoping Shirley is right about Gary Indiana making the difference.
Shirley, yes I suspect Wilmington will be good to Obama as well. Right now I suspect Obama will win overall by a margin of about 17-18%. I hope so anyway.
I can't wait to see what happens when Gary IN votes come in!!! 8% of Indiana lives in that county.
Consider this: a 4 point win in INdiana and a crushing loss in N.C. would be a disaster for HRC, and her money-line.
It's an asswhopping. Only the rural whites are going strong for hillary.
-----------
This is what happening to Gary:
WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court upheld Indiana’s voter-identification law on Monday, declaring that a requirement to produce photo identification is not unconstitutional and that the state has a “valid interest” in improving election procedures as well as deterring fraud.
He's the only Presidential one running !!
OH HELL YEAH!
Raliegh is a pretty progresive city. Racially mixed but more white than many would suspect. If this speech is at the RBC center, the area around there is big Obama territory.
She'll owe it to Limbaugh.
There will be no question about it.
“We don’t know enough about Senator Obama yet. We don’t need an October Surprise. And (the chance of) an October Surprise with Hillary is remote.”

Sister Julie McGuire said she was forced to turn away her fellow sisters at Saint Mary's Convent in South Bend, across the street from the University of Notre Dame, because they had been told earlier that they would need such an ID to vote.
The nuns, all in their 80s or 90s, didn't get one but came to the precinct anyway.
"One came down this morning, and she was 98, and she said, 'I don't want to go do that,'" Sister McGuire said. Some showed up with outdated passports. None of them drives.
They weren't given provisional ballots because it would be impossible to get them to a motor vehicle branch and back in the 10-day time frame allotted by the law, Sister McGuire said. "You have to remember that some of these ladies don't walk well. They're in wheelchairs or on walkers or electric carts."
No numbers from my county yet which I am staying up for. It is great to see how our state is evolving after so many years of the Helms machine. I hope Obama realises he has a good chance here in November and spends some time campaigning here.
Obama is the future...today! Obama '08
YES WE CAN !
----
You're not that dumb.
You know photo ID rules are made to disenfranchise those who don't drive or travel much.
photo ID law works for Hillary
(just kidding!!!!!)
Bush_Bites: Don't worry, SuperCatholic Donna Brazile will come to the nuns' rescue.
It's narrowing here in NC some. I so hope for at least a 15% win. This could be a long watch tonight.
Given his DLC position and his relationship with Carvel, I assume he's strong for Hillary.
Know hope. And thank you, North Carolina and Indiana.

Busboy,
Why are you in a sour mood tonight?

The Dog Lady dumped him.
They're really spinning this as an Obama night.

Harold Ford is so in the tank for shillary, i lost all respect for him... Now I see why he lost his Sen race... ME ME ME.
----
Yeah, but that's why it was great watching him say Obama had a great night and maybe Hillary can be his Veep.
You know Hillary's biggest supporters must be thinking the same thing if he came out and said it.

It's like Iran when the Ayatolla died.
They're so upset, they're beating themselves with chains.
LOL

That's in the Chicago Media Market.
I like that.
I'm a loyal Obama supporter, but I was bracing for a double-digit loss in Indiana and a close race in North Carolina. If this happened, it would have forced this thing to go on and on and on....
BUT now, this is much different. IF Hillary wins Indiana, she's only going to squeak it out and that combined with a blow out in North Carolina means that the game has changed.
It may now be over in the mind of superdelegates tonight/tomorrow. The fact that she will lose such significant ground in delegates and popular vote, it is going to be hard to convince superdelegates to not end this thing when there is no logical end game for Clinton to win this thing.
It really DOES make it look like they just blather on and on an on just to get the ratings.....and not really tlak about substancetive matters
----
If she wins that closely, she'll owe it all to Rush Limbaugh.
Think about that.
Lanny Davis? What a bad joke.
Hillary - time to drop out.
But Obama's OK with me.
Did you hear what he just said?
Why can't Hillary close the deal in Indiana?"
I LOVE IT!!!!!
