Dubya is pretending to do sometrhing about it, but there have been no product recalls. Let's have a recall election, and get this over with. I can't STAND three more months of this traitor! .

There's a surprising amount of data available on the Alaska Elections site. I went through and did a quick and dirty tally by district of the remaining ballots in-hand to be tallied, then projected likely outcome based on the currently reported vote in each district.
The result is a net gain of about 700 more votes for Begich. That should give a final margin of victory for Begich of about 1400 votes.
I biked across Alaska 8 years ago and it's an absolutely beautiful place. But I'll love it even MORE if they retire Ted Stevens and keep Sarah Palin far, far away from Washington, DC.

To see Stevens even having an iota of a chance is till mind boggling.
Alaskans have been raised to the level of a Mississippi or a Georgia with this foolishness.

This is awesome! Not only is Begich a democrat but he's an excellent democrat. This is the top-notch material we need to send to Washington. Like kos says: not just more democrats, but BETTER democrats. Congrats to all progressive Alaskans.

i can think of one earmark i'd support for Alaska: a 21st century election process. i swear they must be using the wasilla HS 4H club to count votes.

With all due respect to your opinion about home schooling.
My bride and I home school our 8 year old, we started when she was in 2nd grade, going on 1st.
She is in "4th" grade now at the age of 8, soon to be 9.
Indeed home schooled kids can primarily be broken down to two groups, The Evangelicals who want to halt scientific growth or the hippie types who want to "unlearn" their teachings.
I am in the latter.

Why would that be your concern w/o asking how many activities she is in, such as horse back riding lessons, Girl Scouts, Tae Kwon Do. mini feminist blogging, and tons more.
I would be happy to give you a complete social itinerary.
