So where in the hell is "tough-guy" Bush? Remember the runup to war in Iraq? What was his NUMBER ONE, most often repeated line about Hussein? It wasn't WMD, it wasn't threat...it was "he thumbs his nose at the international community"...

I saw him say that very phrase dozens of different times. I began to think nose-thumbing must be even WORSE than genocide, WMD, threats to world peace...gee...just about anything.

So, how come we aren't hearing a lot from our own country about denouncing Mugabe? How come no one cares, past reporting it as a news item?

I thought Bush was against nose-thumbing...Mugabe must be the number one nose-thumber in the word at this point.

Well, it worked for Bush...in a different way, of course. Bush just made sure he had his "war" 18 months before the 2004 election, and he did all of it in a "civilized" way, of course.

Or do people forget all the fear-mongering The Criminal and his cohorts did?

Bush would have made a perfect third world dictator--he could have really let loose then. Unfortunately, he did it in the US, where we at least have some safeguards, some of which we did lose, but in the end, BushCo didn't quite get all they targeted--or did they?

Only the future can tell us that since the forces of Bush are still operating to this day.

your piece omits the fact that Mugabe had his opposition's wife killed violently.

Well there's a rumor that Bush may convert to Mugabe's religion.

That and a Nazi pope makes me wonder if I'm living in an alternate reality.
