AMERICAblog: Mukasey is a disappointment to Democrats who supported him. Really?

Well, when you have a one party system in place....

Wolfowitz, Feith, etc. I do not think one unelected neocon was non-Israeli.

Chuck Shummer has not one ounce of credibility. Mukasey had no credentials to start with and the Dems fell all over themselves to appoint another insider, another Bush apologist and toady. Chuck Shummer needs to resign for supporting this asswipe.

Like I said in the post below, I've never been so ready for a revolution in this country.

Judge Mukasey has also presided over high-profile civil cases, including World Trade Center developer Larry Silverstein's battle with the insurers of the trade center.

(jose padilla case ring a bell?)

Once again, the Administration serves up a pile of sh*t, tells Democrats that it's filet mignon, the Democrats say "Oh, okay," gobble it up and live to regret it.

Excuse me, but your Commander-in-Chef studied at the Borgia School for the Culinary Arts. When are these *idiots* gonna learn? It would be nice if it were *sometime* before Lucretia and Company leave office!

Mission accomplished. Schumer and Feinstein knew exactly what they were getting when they voted for Mukasey. The rest of us were well aware of the treachery of this man. He's no different than Ashcroft or Gonzales, all of them crooks, criminals and liars out to protect this massively criminal administration and the anti-thesis of justice. Mukasey violated his oath of office before he was even sworn in, but so did Schumer and Feinstein in supporting this crook.

    Nailed it.

Mukasey was speaking at AEI the other day and Schumer and Feinstein pretended he would be unpartisan

    hard to stomach

I agree. Schumer's place of honor on my personal shit list started when he knifed Paul Hackett (narrowly lost in Ohio's 2nd in 2004) as he angled for the Ohio Democratic Senate candidacy before the start of the 2006 political season...

"Disappointment"? Shouldn't that be "disaster", Senators Schumer and Feinstein? I can still hear Feinstein saying that Mukasey was the best you were going to get out of Bush. Could anyone be worse?

the reality is that most democrats need to be shown the door just like the republicans. the congress is filled with corruption and the swamp needs to be drained.

that especially goes for pelosi and reid. they are failures.

    complicit failures.

I second that motion with Schumer and Feinstein added to the list of 1st in line to go with numerous others to be weeded out as firm details become available.

Chuck Schumer is much more a danger to Democrats than even Lieberman. He really has to be replaced in the Senate. He has no vision and just does not "get it". He is a disgrace.
  • naschkatzehussein · 1 year ago
For sure he cannot be allowed to become the Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee when Leahy leaves.

All kinds of alarms sounded off in the backgroud investigation of Mukasey, but typically our members don't read all that is available and frequently put the importance of getting away for their breaks above the needs of our country.
We definitely need to clean house and rid these useless beings that are just collecting their pay and forgetting what their sworn duty is all about.

It makes me ill to think that I made calls for Chuck Schumer on behalf of moveon.org during the last election. There is such a huge disconnect between what most people want and what our elected government ends up doing that I, a lifelong Democrat, am seriously thinking of supporting the Green Party this time around.

No one should be surprised that Bush picked a loyalist. Loyalty means more than competence, experience, judgment, honesty, integrity and talent. Any Democrat who voted for him should be replaced.
