No, they shouldn't touch the age issue. Many people will address McCain's age, let them, but I think the Dems will get into real trouble making age an issue. God knows, there a ton of issues to discuss about McCain. Let the age issue alone.

Right. The older you are the more likely you will actually vote.
The only theme relating to his age is that WE NEED A FRESH START WITH NO BAGGAGE FROM THE PAST and that applies to Hillary too.

He is too old! It's already bad enough McCain will be on the rethug ticket, but his poor, demented choice for VP will most likely end up running the country if he wins. Worst Nightmare scenario, Jeb Bush!

Perhaps the social and economic pressures of being a woman or black is too much for the leading democrats to overcome

McSame is too crazy to be president. And the general election campaign will be grueling on psycho grandpa. I also wonder how long the media's honeymoon with him will last, because McCain speaks like Alzheimer's is kicking in--mixing up Iran with Iraq and Sunni with Shi'a. We all know, Bush is brain damaged, but what's McSame's excuse for his Bushisms?

Don't forget, Murtha is a backstabbing slime who's endorsed Billary. I used to respect Murtha but after he shot off his mouth and incorrectly labelled our soldiers in Haditha as "cold, blooded murderers" (they were totally exonerated) I don't trust the guy. Hillary is using her scorched Earth policy to destroy the Democratic Party and for Murtha to support that is disgusting. He is a big time creep.

Nigel Elliot has it right first go. Ole John is TOO CRAZY to be president. And as a matter of fact I think he's too old also. Until we receive a full medical and psychiatric report on McCain's condition by independent qualified medical doctors, I don't think any thinking person wouild want him anywhere near to oval office, the nuclear button, or the dammed 3am ringing phone. Face it McCrazy has probably been hearing bells for a long time and pays them no mind! By the way with his siupport of Hil, I think Murtha has shown HE is too old also. Senior Citizen Pennsylvanian Independent for OBAMA!!! Yes we can!

We don't need to alienate the elderly. What we need to do is point out that the world has scary new problems that need NEW ideas and fresh way of looking at solutions.
Food shortages, water wars, climate problems, no new industries in America unless we lead the way on alt energy and stem-cell products etc.
America needs change and a fresh start, and that is the main reason I support Obama over Hillary. I don't want any of the old baggage left when Bush leaves.

I expect McCain will drop dead the week of October 13th.

And if evidence of McCain's weariness due to age does pop up along the campaign trail, I don't think the media should ignore it.
They already are. When McSame went to London there were many comments in the British media expressing surprise at how old and 'out-of-it' he seemed, since they saw little mention of this in the in-the-tank US media.
And he still hasn't released his medical records.
During the Reagan years it was people the same age as Reagan who were most concerned about his age. They experienced first-hand the degradations of time and knew he shouldn't be taking on the hardest job in the world.
The media covered for Reagan's health issues all the time. Imagine if Clinton had repeatedly fallen asleep during meetings with world leaders.

Is article showing the proper respect for a man who could become our fourth president from the Civil War era? :)
And don't forget, McCain REMEMBERS when his father was notified by the Navy that the Japanese had attacked Pearl Harbor. Actually REMEMBERS.
McCain is completely out of touch with the present and only represents the failed policies of the past. Almost as bad as Hillary.

I have said this all along, he's absolutely too old for the demands of the office. I don't think it will need to be said, it will be on for display when Obama debates him.

One might feel different if McCain had been exceptionally brilliant all along.
Oh well.

The Clinton campaign seem oddly reticent to exploit any issue that might damage McCain. It makes me wonder how they think they might would win in November since all I ever hear from them is what a wonderful friend, great patriot, and good guy McCain is, ad nauseum. In fact, I get REAL TIRED of all the nice things HIllary and friends say to describe Mr. McGoo. I don't appreciate it one bit, especially considering most voters who choose to vote for Mr. McGoo need to realize they are probably voting for his Vice President to finish out his term. Then again, maybe Cheney will introduce McCain into the "mysterious, dark arts" that keep Cheney's heart pumping past his "sell by" date. I've heard young virgins are delivered to the Vice President's home every full moon!

John McCain has already acknowledged how important his VP choice is given his age. So Age is on the table as a viable concern of the entire nation, by the way what about those medical records?

Brilliant! With one stroke, this idiot has managed to lose most of the over-50 vote in November. Brick by brick any chance of a Democratic victory is falling down. What kind of fool is this guy? Doesn't he have any politcal sense?
