Yes, "Mookie" is what struck me most too. I suppose their real names are just too hard to pronounce or remember, so they have to be given cute nicknames ... What does that say about his intelligence?

In the African-American community there is a lot of discussion about the inherent racism in Hillary's campaign. You will be laughed at if you call Bill Clinton the "first Black President". Both of them are considered personna-non-grata after the way they have treated Obama. People know Samantha Power was speaking truth to power when she commented "“Hillary is a monster, she is stooping to anything.”

"Ledeen is a strong admirer of Niccolò Machiavelli, whom he regards as one of the greatest political thinkers....Ledeen was involved in the biggest foreign policy scandal of the Ronald Reagan administration....Michael Ledeen had been accused of being involved in the forgery which claimed that Saddam Hussein had bought yellowcake in Niger." - Wiki

Michael Ledeen Quotes: * "the level of casualties (in Iraq) is secondary" * "we are a warlike people (Americans)...we love war" * "Change — above all violent change — is the essence of human history" * "the only way to achieve peace is through total war" * "The purpose of total war is to permanently force your will onto another people" * "Every ten years or so, the United States needs to pick up some small crappy little country and throw it against the wall, just to show the world we mean business"

In a 2003 column entitled "A Theory," Ledeen outlined a possibility that France and Germany, both NATO allies of the United States, "struck a deal with radical Islam and with radical Arabs" to use "extremism and terrorism as the weapon of choice" to bring down a potential American Empire. He stated, "It sounds fanciful, to be sure," but that, "If this is correct, we will have to pursue the war against terror far beyond the boundaries of the Middle East, into the heart of Western Europe."
Ledeen is a dangerous whacko and Chimpy still listens to him.

I like how he didn't say "on most reliable accounts", he said "on THE most reliable accounts". And he knows the accounts that are "most reliable " are the ones he's pulled off his buddies quote-machines or out of his ass.

It is ironic that Chimpy has surrounded himself with so many Jewish fellers.
I thought Repukes didn't care for Hebrews and kept them out of their country clubs and such.
But they're great for giving you excuses to invade the wrong country.

Google American Enterprise Institute (AEI) see who are members (most of Bu$h's close advisers plus Cheney) the Project for a New American Century was one of their organizations............

Well now, LeDeen likely gets much of his information straight from ace reporter/porn actor/born-again "Marine" Matt Sanchez, whose journalistic fact-finding skills among the troops in Iraq includes an uncanny psychic ability to directly quote the unspoken thoughts of soldiers.

Busboy is just parroting the Repuke talking point that anybody who attacks AIPAC or JINSA or the Israeli government is a bigoted racist anti-semite.
They even did this to Jimmy Carter because he correctly said that Israel practices apartheit.
No group can be above criticism, particularly if they spied on the US, as AIPAC did in the Franklin case.

A lot of the coverage revolves around the colorful figure of Moqtada al Sadr, as if he were calling some of the shots in Baghdad and Basra, but those stories are anachronistic. Mookie is no longer a major player in these events. . . . Today, on the most reliable accounts, most Iraqi Shi’ites (and Sunnis, for that matter) despise the Iranian regime, blame it for most of the violence, and are fighting Iranians and their proxies throughout the land. . . . Democracy works its magic, even in the Middle East, and Maliki wants to keep his job. Right now, that requires him to fight the Iranian-sponsored militias.
Most Iraqis blame the United States for the violence, which has resulted from the US-led invasion and occupation. There were no Iranian militias in Iraq prior to that, no civil war, and no al Qaeda. Most of the fighting going on now is in reaction to and against the ongoing US occupation, and between Iraqi factions fighting for control.
There is also no democracy in Iraq. Because what Ledeen means by "Maliki must fight the militias if he wants to keep his day job," is that the US will force him out otherwise.
"Mookie"?! Is Ledeens nickname for Moqtada al-Sadr supposed to lead us to believe Ledeen knows what the hell he's talking about?

Speaking of Iranian militias in Iraq...who installed Maliki in the first place? Three guesses, and the first two don't count.

Michael Ledeen has a personal wine cellar--locked, I tried it--bearing his name at Morton's, a high-end steakhouse at the corner of K Street and Connecticut Avenue. When I was there last week, I considered rolling up a note tightly enough to poke through the holes of the mesh through which passersby can ogle Ledeen's wine collection, which runs to reds from what I could see. ("Enjoying the blood of American fighting forces?" was what I might have written.)
Boy, this thread descended into an antisemitic tirade really fast. I won't dignify some of these remarks with answers, but where in the world do these idiots come from? This post had nothing to do with Israel. Grow up already.
Now, as to the post itself, Sadr has just demonstrated that he can turn the civil war in Iraq on and turn it off whenever he feels like it. So much for the "surge".

If you have not already educated yourselves on The American Enterprise Institute (AEI) and its' Project for a New American Century (PNAC) it is a short Google away, and the information there is shocking. C-Span gives the AEI all weekend to propagandize and CNN/MSNBC invites them to be "experts" on all of the important issues facing the USA......Fox employes them as regular anchors..Bill Kristol and Charles Krauthammer are members of the AEI...they are all ZioCons the whole nest of them. Americans who believe in America first should educate themselves on the agenda of the AEI which is to take over the world for the ZioCons using the infiltration of our government and our military to plan and execute wars around the planet until they have control over the entire planet. This is the largest terrorist organization on earth and they operate out of this country.......
