You don't shoot protestors. I don't care what they protest. This message is simple, and needs to be sent by heads of government. IF you shoot unarmed protestors, kiss the goddamned olympics bye-bye.

Politics in Nepal is touch and go with the elections just ending and the Communist Party of Nepal-Maoist controling about a third of the newly elected congress. This is Nepal's first military deployment on the mountain: http://www.kantipuronline.com/kolnews.php?&nid=... Nothing is said outloud but Nepal is quietly concerned about the Chinese military walking in the way they walked into Tibet almost 50 years ago. It's a worrisome time in Nepal.

Bloomberg turned New York into a police state during the Republican convention in New York. Illegally arrested protesters and kept them in inhuman conditions on an oil stained, bedless pier for much longer than the law allowed. I think we have a lot to be outraged here. The thought of getting arrested terrified me, and everyone else to was out there every day and evening protesting.
I am also surprised that a pro-gay web site wouldn't mention that homosexuality is still illegal in Nepal, regardless of the Nepal Supreme Courts current ruling, and worse, Gay and Lesbians are arrested and killed in that society. The link to the Nepalese Gay Rights Blue Diamond Society web site is below. Hillary said she would consider Gay Rights Human Rights and use the United States foreign policy to fight Gay and Lesbian Oppression internationally. Can we get Obama to say the same.
. F*ck Nepal. F*ck the Olympics. They've never been anything but a Leni Riefenstahl extravaganza, in the good old Nazi style: Nationalism, corporatism, militarism, global warfare in miniature. The "Olympic spirit" has never been about anything but raw naked political ambition. In Berlin in 1936 and in Beijing in 2008, it's all about greed and might-makes-right. F*ck the "Olympic spirit." F*ck Bush and the McCains' buddies at Anheuser-Busch and the rest of corporate America for supporting this whitewash of a brutal crony-communist police state that arms dictators and terrorists worldwide. Let's get back to that truly priceless Greek import: Democracy. F*ck China. Free Tibet Now. .

Tibet is such a fashionable concern, but the ongoing Israeli genocide of the Palestinian people continues to not happen.
