AMERICAblog: Netroots, BBQ and some amazing congressional candidates

"I've become convinced that sharing barbecue is one of the best ways to get to know candidates."

Yep. John McCain figured that out, too.

If it ain't pig, it ain't BBQ. At least that's NC's position. Barbecued cow is blasphemy in political circles here.

My own position is that any mammal that's barbecued is blasphemy. Being a vegetarian atheist is being in a hard place almost anywhere in the US, though.

Did any of the candidates talk about global warming? Has it been discussed at all?

So how can it be blasphemy if you are an atheist, that would make you Hindu.

Blasphemy isn't reserved for the religious. It can be used figuratively in regard to things held in high esteem, i.e., blasphemy against the theory of equality.

Sorry you took me so seriously. I am BBQing big ol' steaks. There is no blasphemy, it implies worship.
